Archery Fighting Styles!
That was mentioned earlier. Here's a few drafted up, because I have some time and it sounds like fun.
Fight long enough and hard enough (and sometimes even wise enough), and you begin to have tricks and techniques that set you apart. If you have a Huntsman Rank of 8 or more, you may choose to start on sim with ONE of the below listed bonuses. Otherwise, these may be attained through roleplay so long as their requirements are met. A character may attain no more than TWO fighting styles.
We're not retreating, we're advancing in a different direction!
With your vast experience in combat with a bow, you've become adept at shooting while on the run from those pesky warrior types who want to whack you with things.
Requirements: Training with someone who knows this style for at least a week; RP logs required. Huntsman 5 and Reflexes 5. May only be used by those wearing Light armor.
Benefits: Each post round that you make an attack roll using Huntsman, your defensive Reflex rolls against melee attacks for that round receive a +2 bonus. May not be used in tandem with Guerilla Tactics.
Precision Strikes Your experience in ranged combat has given you extensive insight into finding the vulnerable spots in an opponent's armor with your arrows.
Requirements: Training with someone who knows this style for at least a week; RP logs required. Huntsman 7 and Knowledge 3. May only be used by those wearing Light Armor.
Benefits: Your bow is considered a Large weapon for the purpose of determining damage done. A person with this Fighting Style may consider their Enchanted Arrows from the Esoteric Arrow magical school as Massive class.
Guerrilla Tactics Your knowledge of your surroundings and ranged tactics allows you to make attacks, then vanish back into your natural surroundings without a trace. This only applies in a natural setting, and cannot be made use of in town or indoors.
Requirements: Training with someone who knows this style for at least a week; RP logs required. Huntsman 8 and Fighting 5. May only be used by those wearing Light Armor. Must have the Trait Based Skills The Hunter, and Ambush! to make use of this Fighting Style.
Benefits: After a successful attack roll using Huntsman, you may make a second roll to determine whether your character managed to slip back into the undergrowth and remain hidden, Reflexes vs. your opponent's Huntsman. A successful roll will consider your character as under the effects of The Hunter until your next attack is made.
Just riffing here, essentially. More or less, just wanted to give the poor Rangers a reason to be grateful for their Light Armor!

Figured I'd at least give anyone considering the idea a place to start.
