I've seen some other sims use windlight in selected areas such as caves so that they basically remain dark at all times regardless of the time of day. As well as I have seen sims use windlight in such a way that it syncs with SLT. I think both of these would help immersion and just be generally kinda cool. I do wish I knew how to edit windlight features myself, but I do not so I could not be help there :/
