Finding the book of Summons:[11:11] Merialeth Windstar (caireannliadan) flicked a glance up as the door opens, her eyes alighting on the figure that entered, her head tilting and as she went to speak, Damien'd peer down from the floor above and chime in "Well helllooo there... " Meri'd dash him a quick glance and roll of her eyes before he'd huff and go back to his cleaning. Her soft chuckle on her breath as she turned again to look at the man and murmured a quiet, if musical "Good morning and welcome, how can I help you?"
[11:13] Vincent Keene (vincent3342) Vincent wondered on down to the shop of magic, some intent in his eyes, he seemed to have ideas rolling around in his head. He opened the door and sorta side stepped in, which could be considered weird, he had armor on, sword and shield. When he was greeted he would nod his head towards the woman, letting those pupiless slightly glowing blues look over her, "Greetings, I'm looking for a book on Summoning Extraplanar beings, specifically from the fire plane, if not generally from the planes of the elements." he stated as he took a look around the room.
[11:17] Merialeth Windstar (caireannliadan) bit back a smile, the shifting into the room met with a somewhat knowing gaze, her head tilting and the soft reply of "I might have something of the sort... " Her own bright green gaze flicking over his with a tip of her head as she murmured "Somewhat for a lesser summons then, or - looking for something a bit larger...?"
[11:19] Vincent Keene (vincent3342) he laughed a little and nodded, "Good, I'm glad this trip hasnt been for nothing, and yes, Lesser summons." the pyro side of him oogled at the prospects of learning Lesser summons, as well as raising hi over all knowledge of magic, which, was very much useful. He seemed to give the shop a look around and would stand near the door, cause knowing his unlucky self, he'd break something valuable. so, he gave a kind smile and would wait to see. [11:24] Merialeth Windstar (caireannliadan) chuckled softly, the slight dip of her head and smile widening "A trip here is rarely if ever a waste of time, even if you don't find exactly what you'd thought you would..." Her head tilted as she perused him again, the peering about met with a soft nod as she turned to reach at the scrollcase behind her. The soft hum on her lips as fingers trace over the many cubbyholes and a glance back towards him. "Just looking for study materials then?" Pausing as her fingers alight on a red-chased spindle, pulling it to her and perusing it's contents a moment before rolling it back up and studying him again.
[11:28] Vincent Keene (vincent3342) he nodded his head once more, "Good, I'm glad a trip here for some one like myself isnt a waste." he laughed a bit as he watched her, "Yeah, some one has to learn everything to spread the wealth of knowledge." though he may not be the most knowledgeable person out there. He liked to think he was atleast, semi knowledgeable as he gave a cheeky smile, "Oh one last thing do you have a list of the common enchantments in which some one can do, as well as their matiral componants?" he asked in an /extremely/ knowledgeable tone about this particular subject. [11:34] Merialeth Windstar (caireannliadan) lifted a brow at the cocky attitude, her quiet demeanour not necessarily any indication as far as capability. Her tone cooling somewhat as she murmurs "A list of enchantments? I would think any practiced mage would have something of the sort in his head already... It all depends on your talents after all." Her grip tightening a little on the scroll as she perused him more carefully and narrowed her gaze. [11:41] Vincent Keene (vincent3342) yep, he did indeed have a cocky attitude when it came to the subject, and he would chuckle, "Yes the basic ones, I mean I know almost all the evocation spells can be enchanted, as well as their enhanced versions, as well as several other schools that have basic enchantable spells, however, every mage has different components and what tehy conciser to be the standard in crafting. I'm just looking more or less for a guide line. on what this islands enchanting process is." he stated as he rose a brow and walked forward to the desk, "An should you have questions floating in your mind like I'm sure you do. I studied at the Battlemage College in Lynea under sever grand masters of Enchantments. I am a Qualified grand master enchanter." he said with a nod of his head. [11:49] Merialeth Windstar (caireannliadan) tilts her head the other way, still watching him as she murmurs "Oh, you mean enspelled tattoos - that is an entirely different matter... Not simply an enchantment." Her head shaking as she furrowed her brows then shrugged, digging into her other shelf, her fingers dancing over the pages tucked away, then pulled free a page, perusing it carefully then slid it atop the counter next to the candles "That would be the basics as far as usually what's suggested, though it may not be what's available. The rarity levels of course, change depending on the enchantment that you're working with."
[11:51] Vincent Keene (vincent3342) he nodded his head as he looked to her giving a slight smile as she spoke, and he would then, put his hands behind his back, "alright well thank you, how much will the book be then?" he asked, as he would look over the page, his head canting to the side slightly at it... as his eyes flickered from the page to her, waiting in much anticipation for the cost of such a needed material. [11:57] Merialeth Windstar (caireannliadan) tips her head, then ponders a moment, the component list wasn't much of anything but her time, maybe ten coppers or so, but the scroll, well... that was... entirely different, "Eight silver for the scroll... and it's yours... " Her gaze flicking back to his as she smiled politely, the soft rustling sounding about her that might be familiar to his ears
[12:00] Vincent Keene (vincent3342) he rose a brow as he looked to the woman, her price seemed a little outrageous, he then shook his head as he looked around, "Fine Eight silver." he said as he dug around one of his many componant pouches, and pulled a velvet bag from it and produced Eight silver.." he then blinked a bit as he looked around, indeed familiar.. very familiar more then likely. [12:06] Merialeth Windstar (caireannliadan)'s expression maintained, her head tilting as she knew full well what the cost of enchanting such a spell would evoke, and the possibilities inherent in such, "Thank you, sir, I hope you enjoy your reading.." She'd reach carefully forward to place the scroll within reach as she took the coins in exchange, the weight gauged in her grip before tucking them into her palm. "Don't forget your component list as well..." nodding towards the page with a faint smile and stepped back to put the coins into the small lockbox at the side. "Anything else I can assist you with?" Her eyes flicking back to him with that faint smile on her lips as she straightened and perused him again.
[12:10] Vincent Keene (vincent3342) he looked towards the door a bit and then looked over back towards Meri, "I'm sure I will." he said. as he would indeed take up both the scroll and book, and then he gave her a smile, "thank you for reminding me, I may have forgotten it." he laughed scratching at the back of his head. He would shake his head, "Nope nothing." he said as he started to back up towards the door, "Thank you for your time." he would nod his head as he'd turn to start walking out the door less stoped. [12:13] Merialeth Windstar (caireannliadan) just nodded then, "Enjoy your day..." watching him head out the door, offering a soft chuckle at the possibility of forgetting then leaned lightly against the arm of the chair til he disappeared from sight before turning back to her own perusals.

The littlest problems
[21:34] Vincent Keene (vincent3342) sighed a bit as he had finished his report and filed it, he would then go about to practice his summoning once again sitting on the floor and looking at the book in which he pulled out of a pouch and he grumped a bit as hermes would flutter off, "fire hmmm.... fire." he said as he looked at the book once more and would go get a candle that was lit and cup the flame into his hand.
[21:48] Vincent Keene (vincent3342) he looked to the cupped fire in his hand and he would start to try and mold it with magic to give what he was going to try and summon a way in to the world that wasnt as violent as, well yanking it from its home, something natural to cling to, and he chuckled slightly as he looked to the forming arms and head. Happily out of the views of others.
[21:56] Vincent Keene (vincent3342) continued to stretch the body parts trying to get the body right and he nodded his head thinking he got it right and he would put the fire up in his hand and he nodded ot it as he hmmed as he looked back to the book flipping the page. furrowing his brows again, and he started to chant slowly, "Ensa-Vek, Afiga, Una.. mah ta." he chanted.
[22:03] Vincent Keene (vincent3342) he grumped a bit as he looked it didnt seem to work and he huffed a bit as he shook his head from side to side. "Agarma Firgra... un ama." he would continue and then sigh in frustration as nothing was happening like it was in the book and he growled as he threw the fire, at the window in frustration to wich the fire dissipated and he crossed his arms, "More studying is required, maybe I should do something larget then a candle flame....."
[22:10] Vincent Keene (vincent3342): he crossed his arms as he slammed the book shut and stood up putting it back into his pouch huffing a little, "I'm going to need a larger fire..." he said with a nod of his head as he moved towards the door thinking about the kind of wood he should use... maybe charcoaled wood... yep yep.

Getting the component and delivering silver.
[21:51] Vincent Keene (vincent3342) grumped as he left the house in which he stayed looking down at his book of summons, his brows furrowed, he pursed his lips a little as he paced around the square, thinking of ways... he could do this summoning thing... and he grumped a little more as he paced back and forth, "Maybe I need magnesium...." he scratched his chin, "Or lava rock.. maybe that would be a better conduit." he would then start towards the inn face full of book.
[22:06] Vincent Keene (vincent3342) he grumbled a little as he continued to look in the book and then tilted his head to the side slightly, nodding a little he would begin to point at the book... "Ohhh thats what I did wrong." he said as he moved around the stone wall near the shop, "Ahh, alright... then maybe I know where to do this then." he nodded with a laugh though he did look into the Inn and blink a bit, tearing his ever watching gaze on his book for a few moments.
[22:07] Viveka (themis.adasia) blinked a few times and looked at Kynaston with her mouth stuffed with rumcake. The picture of an elf at their finest. She swallowed the cake and washed it down with the rum, letting out a satisfied sigh because...rum. "Well, Jahou found a book that sounded like a vision that had pointed to who had the ring and who it belonged to. The book talked of blood cultists that were wiped out by dragons. Sea of glass, wastelands, spire overlooking the wasteland. The dragon is one of the ones apparently that wiped them out and I believe the man that stole it was descendant of the cultists. Or at least from that area that they were from. She wasn't real specific when talking about him. Anastasia Sekief that is, the dragon. The two with her...I am not too sure about. The man seemed to be a prisoner to her. Enslaved against his will I felt, but the woman.....she seemed more of a willing participant." She'd look to the lost woman and started to point across the way but remembered it was moved. "It is down the stairs. Down a few stairs and up some more. Just turn right out of here and follow the path around till you have to go down more stairs, then back up some more." Yep, best directions EVER. Grinning to Gerald at the busy comment, she'd turn on the sarcastic overconfidence. "It's because I'm here," she joked.
[22:11] Kynaston Chasin 's eyes widened and he gave a little cough. "They turn invisible and can fly?" He reitereated sounding a bit alarmed. "That is... yes... well... And I thought the dragon was bad enough. But these sounds like quite the henchmen." He reached over and sought to tap the bottom of Asi's chin to push his mouth back together- giving him a ' that is how I feel' look. But he seemed all the more eager to listen to Viveka's words on it. "I remembered Jahou mentioning a book sometime ago. But had not heard of this blood cultist, but all of that makes sense. Well MORE sense than it did a moment ago. Yes. I see. Very well then. You have been a big help, at least in my own quest to gain knowledge on these things. I do wish you a goodnight." He bowed to her, than headed off
[22:18] Tyri Lhinneth: glances at the woman at white, she replies"oh thank you so much i am going to have a little rest then be on my way." looks over at the man staring at her as she shyly looks down .
[22:19] Jace Blackwell: Placed the coppers on the counter before scooping up his bowls and glass, awardly caring them over to his usual seat, placing them down on the table awkwardly as he looked to the pink haired angel sitting down already. "Miss....would you care to join me? Or do you even eat? I can help you find your way to the infirmary in a few if you like. Oh my manners! I apologize!" Jace exclaimed going down to one knee, raising his fist to his chest in a kneeling salute. "Tis surely a great honor to be in the presence of one such as you! Did the Goddess send you?" Jace stammered out, clearly excited at the prospect of being in the presence of divinity.
[22:22] Gerald Baker watched Jace as he got down on a knee and started talking funny to the winged woman, who... as far as he was concerned... was a feathery fairy. As Kynaston and Asi leave, he would wave to them, saying "Good bye! Come back soon." then looking to Viveka, he would grin, asking "So! How have you been, lass? Haven't seen you hanging around in a while."
[22:21] Vincent Keene (vincent3342) the chatter about the dragon made him nod his head a bit as he watched on and furrowed his brows for a few moments or so, that was quite interesting and he thought about what it was he knew about dragons and chuckled a little. Something to include in his report indeed, but he would back away as he man exited the bar and he furrowed his brows slightly before He watched Jason and the way he acted and then he looked to Missy and rose a brow at her wings and shook his head slightly, he'd lean back against the wall doing his duty as a guardsman, before looking over to Gerald and grinned waving the man over, "Hey... come here..." he said to the man not remembering his name really.
[22:26] Viveka (themis.adasia) finished off the last of the cake and the rum, putting the mug back on the counter with a bit of a thunk. "My dearest friend runs the infirmary. I need to have her check my ear one last time anyway if you would like me to go with you." Which she just happened to say before Jace started spewing his ramblings out. It's no wonder she thinks so many humans are oafs. She's got Gerald who didn't notice her elven ears for two weeks or more, and now this one who apparently had never seen someone with wings before. Though she would have originally assumed Avariel, but she did not have elven ears. Assimar perhaps? That was all she could assume. "I insist, really," she would add in, just in case the girl was at all creeped out by Jace fawning over her too much in weird ways. She would look to Gerald as he spoke to her and beam. "I am doing fantastic actually. Just been very busy with all the nonsense that goes with business. They act like I am some sort of psychic and know what the place makes when the past owner kept the worst records ever! And by that I mean none! But now that it all seems to be handled and I have a bit of a staff, I can finally start to come visit my faaaaavorite baker again. I know....you feel honored right about now," she would joke at the last bit. "I hope you are doing well and have not done anything too oafish since I last saw you."
[22:33] Tyri Lhinneth: looking back at the man talking to her she says "thank you i am feeling a little hungry." looks over to the girl in white she says " Thank you so much for the offer but i think i am going to have a bite to eat and then make my way over." Looks over to the man that appears to work here. and asks" may i get some chicken and dumplings?"
[22:34] Gerald Baker nods to Viveka, grinning "Well that's good to hear! Maybe you can start buying more rum and cakes, and make me rich, too, when your business starts really going." he grins, then at mention of him doing oafish things, he would huff at her "Well, I got an axe... took it from the warden keep, but... I'm a warden, and the weapons are all just sitting there, so I don't think they'll mind." he pats the boarding axe on his hip, looking more at home in a woodcutter's hut than on a battle field. As he hears Vincent telling him to 'mere, he would sigh and head out from behind the counter, patting Viveka's head as he goes, smirking "Honored... keep telling yourself that, lass." he chuckles. Hearing Tyri, he would nod to her, and call over to the NPC barkeeper to serve up the chicken and dumplings, along with some steamed veggies, to the feathery woman while he was talking with Vincent. As he approaches the man, he'd turn his attention to the guard, asking "What can I do fer ya?"
[22:38] Jace Blackwell: Glanced around, a look of horror on his face as he seemed to be the only one showing proper respect. "Are you all mad?! We're in the presence of an angel! Surely you all wouldn't deny the proper respect to such a righteous being?" His jaw would then drop once more as she spoke of wanting to eat some of the food and he would hurriedly stand looking to Gerald excitedly. "Would you have ever imagined it? An angel! Gracing us with her presence and she wants to try the food. Your food man! You get to cook for a divine entity of pure goodness! Surely this is a sign from Valeska herself! She's smiling down on us, encouraging us as we become initiated into the Wardens! Here let me get that for her." He rambles on as he pulled another 10 coppers out placing them on the counter, attempting to bring her food to her.
[22:40] Vincent Keene (vincent3342) he looked to Gerald and nod his head to the man, fishing around he'd get out what equated to a small mason jar made of clay and a singular silver piece. "Firstly, the clay jug, I dont know if you're allowed to let the fire die here, but I know you're around it a lot, I require if you dont mind, the Last burning ember of fire." he stated towards Gerald, "secondly, I got a bonus for facing the dragon in the square, but I didnt do it alone. Why reward one when there where two guarding civilians." he said holding both out towards the man. "So hopefully you're able to do me this favor and accept this compensation for your time." He then looked past Gerald to Jace furrowing his brows, as he chuckled slightly and his pupiless eyes would then watch the man as he shook his head a bit and would step off the arch way and let his wings of white come into view, which he didnt normally due, but his chaotic nature of the mans spilling out about angels and celestials of righteousness was too good to pass up poking at.
[22:49] Viveka (themis.adasia)'s brow rose at the talk of making Gerald rich. "I offered you work! But noooo! You are too good to stand around and watch naked people all day! Though....the cake is tempting...." When she got patted on the head, her eyes would narrow, but only for a moment simply because she spent too much time fussing with her hair, no matter how simple it looked, to want it messed up by those hands of his. The words spilling out of Jace, on top of Gerald's normal oafishness, really made her fear for the human race sometimes. She shook her head wit ha smile till she heard what Vincent was saying to Gerald. He 'faced' the dragon? Last she checked, they just stood there while she dealt with the minion and the others looked on from a distance. Gerald was the one that took a hit with a chair from the dragon. She closed her eyes and inhaled deeply, keeping her agitation in check, and when she opened them again, there was another that had wings. She had enough memories of people with wings to know the vast majority of the non elven variety....no, even the elven variety, were generally pompous and arrogant. Though the girl did not seem this way. "Dear, some people have the blood of another race in their veins, though far enough back that it grants them things such as wings. Elves with wings are called Avariel, though there may be a few scattered of another race and have wings. The human looking ones are called Assimar, though there are other races with wings. They are no more divine than a priest or a druid or one connected with a close enough connection to the spirits." She was a touch riled up now, that was for sure. She would start to make her way her way out the door, lifting a hand to wave to Gerald. "I think I will be on my way now. I enough to worry about. Thieves and the likes. Take care of yourself Gerald, and the rest of you.
[22:55] Tyri Lhinneth: looks up at the man that paid for her food and says " thank you but you really didnt have to do that." she starts eating her food thinking that was quite wierd with all that was going on around her.
[22:55] Gerald Baker looks down to the clay pot and the coin "Well, can't say either one of us faced a dragon... unless you count actually, y'know... looking at a dragon as facing one? Which doesn't seem very courageous... a lot of people that were in the square faced the dragon." he chuckles "But..." he takes the coin "I thank you, it will go toward paying for my armor if them dwarf lasses get to workin' at the smithy." he would then look to the pot "And... guess I can get some embers from the oven. The embers can be dying, but the fire itself doesn't have to die, right?" he grins, apparently having some concept of a loop hole. He would turn then, to look to Jace "Lad, I thought it was pretty special when I met a demon, meself... but... turns out that demons an' angels are kind of common." he shrugs "Or maybe we're just very lucky? Never saw demons, angels, fae, dragons, elves, or any of the sort back home... then I come out and explore the world, and I see things runnin' around everywhere." as Vincent suddenly wings, he would quirk a brow.... then point to the man "Case in point." he chuckles, then as Viveka goes to make her way out of the tavern, he would wave to her, saying "Have a good night, lass. I might stop by for a dip in the hot springs some time... I remember the springs back home, so lovely on a cold winter night. Though... had the moon to see where the bloody hell I was going, too." he frowns, still not really liking the location of the springs
[23:04] Jace Blackwell: looks toward Viveka, a mask of pure shock at her words as he sputters "A priest is Divine by choice and believe...surely...no you can't mean they are just as one of us! They're spiritual leaders, they're...." He would pause as he absorbed what was said about different races with wings as well attempting to spew out "But surely...still divinely touched....maybe part angel...a blessed being all the same...I.." His voice would trail off as the guardsman seemed to sprout wings as well, a look of uncertainty creeping across his face as Gerald mentioned that they were everywhere and nothing so special as he once thought. "Sooo....but surely.....so...not a....are you an assimar? I don't see elven ears so must not be...what did she call them? Avaril? Avi....huh?" He would slump into the chair glancing between the two winged beings, still not quite sure he should dismiss them as casual like the others.
[23:05] Vincent Keene (vincent3342) he chuckled slightly, "I dont argue with what I get payed, it is just what happens and this was extra and figured it should be rightfully split." he said simply as the coin was taken and he laughed slightly. "As for the ember, it sadly has to be the last ember of a dying fire. So sadly it does mean that, though I'm sure there are ways around that in a sense." he then chuckled at what Viveka said, "It is true what they both say, we are nothing special good sir. Just some divine touch or something like that way back in our history." he stated with a grin, he wasnt pompus or arragant, as he nodded his head, "Safe journey's." he said to her as he then looked back to Gerald, the wings slowly shimmering from existance once more as he tilted his head to the side, "Though again, thank you for that, just figured you're around fire enough, I'll send Hermes, a Gyrfalcon, to come fetch the pot later on tomorrow." He then looked back to Jace, "We were once touched yes, or so legend says we are... but then again do you believe every legend?" he asked as he turned and nodded to the man ready to make his way towards his post, book in hand.
[23:08] Viveka (themis.adasia) turned back around, her mood seeming to have done a total 180, a big grin on her face as she looked to Gerald. She remembered all too well how he complained that it was difficult to see. "I will hold your hand and guide you if you get lost, love. Either way, consider your first visit on me. We'll even throw in a massage. You've looked after me, apparently more than I realize. I owe you at the very least that much." Her eyes looked to Jace and she smiled, shaking her head. "Dove, there are countless beliefs that worship countless deities. Not saying if any actually are sent by the gods, or descendants of them that they do not deserve respect. All living things deserve respect because all living things are equal in that they are destined for the same fate. But those of us who honor the spirits believe that we are all children of the gods. And again, all deserving of equal respect because we all have a purpose in their plans. Or in the case of this island, in her plans." She would bow her head to Vincent who wished her a safe journey and then turn it into a more flamboyant curtsy and offer a goodbye to the others and make her way to the Lady's home in hopes she was there all by her lonesome so she could flirt with her. Er, talk with her! Yes, just talking. That's all. "Take care all of you!" she would call back.
[23:17] Gerald Baker chuckles and nods to Jace, saying "It is true, it seems, lad. I know, I grew up in a land of humans, and never seen none of this my whole life before leaving home. But, apparently...." he gestures around "Deities and their workings are... very close to the world." he grins "In a way, it's just like the old fairy tales! Though I have yet to see talking animals." he shrugs "No matter, they will show up eventually, yes?" he then snatches the jar from Vincent and makes his way behind the counter, saying "Watch this, lad." as he opens up the oven. Grabbing a pair of tongs, he would reach in, saying "This here... is a fire, right? An' from this fire..." he closes the tongs around a coal, and pulls it out "I take... a smaller fire!" he smiles, then blows the fire on the coal out "And now, the fire of this coal... has died!" he drops the coal, then, into the jar, and sets the jar on the counter, looking pleased at his answer to the conundrum of a fire's last embers.
[23:19] Tyri Lhinneth: looks over to the lady in white and waves. looks over the the worker of the inn and says "you food is so good i will have to come back and have some more" turns over to the man who paid for her food, and says" thank you for your generosities but but i try to look at myself as a normal human." Looks to the other one that has wings. and smiles and says "oh good i am not the only one."
[23:23] Vincent Keene (vincent3342) he looked to Gerald who was either a Genius or was going to help vincent release a giant man eating fire elemental that he couldnt control. Either way he chuckled and nodded, "Alright you win this time." he said as he started to go forward, his wings had, well, disappeared by now and he looked to Tyrl and nodded "Indeed you're not the only one." he said as he looked to te jar and would go to pick it up. "Thank you kindly..." he said before turning to leave giving everyone a nod of his head. "Enjoy your little bonus." he laughed a bit
[23:25] Jace Blackwell: Takes a bit of his chicken as he ponders what the woman in white has said, mulling it over considering. It was much the same belief as the Wardens held to, he couldn't argue it. He then looked to the guard replying "I see. But the books and stories also say some are of Divine blood, not just touched or blessed. So surely some of you might still actually be at least in part, angel. And sure, while I recognize some myths and legends are a bit far fetched, surely there still rooted in truth? And of the holy ones....well why would the righteous lie? Surely those can be believed in if none others?" Jace attacked a dumpling before answering the Pink Haired beauty saying "Not a problem miss. Think nothing of it..truly. If nothing else, a warden helps those in need. You were hungry and I helped with that. The Goddess surely smiles on such acts of kindness."

When Worlds Collide [10:17] Vincent Keene (vincent3342) so this was it, he had the coal, and a few other things which he had collected, candles, clay bowl, and so on. So he set those things out in-front of him.... He'd then start by placing the coal into the clay bowl and gathering some tinder and light the cal with a bit of flame he caused to come from his finger, cause thats what he as good at. Fire. He would grin a bit as he looked to it and would blow as smoke started to rise from the bowl.... The book of summons was to his right open to the correct page in which he had made notations and changes to his specific style on. So He'd grin and wait to watch he coal come to life. [10:25] Vincent Keene (vincent3342) once the ember was aflame he blinked a bit as he tilted his head to the side slightly... to catch a glimpse at his notions in the book. He nodded as he blew upon the coal till it was red hot, he'd ten lay the candle after breaking it in to four pieces around it so i'd melt its wax a the bottom. Once this was done he was just about ready... man summoning things was labor intensive the first time.... but thats cause he needed to make a bond.... a deal. [10:30] Vincent Keene (vincent3342) he waited there patiently as the wax melted in to its less then solid state, which caused him to nod. "Good good, al is good right now..." he said to himself as he examined the paper once more. going down the list of steps. He would then look down to the ingredients and would hold a hand out, as fire engulfed his hand and he would stat to speak in Ingan, the language of the fire plane itself. <"I call out to you the planes of fire, the ever burning wards in which disintegrate and condemn the mortal flesh to burn."> [10:37] Vincent Keene (vincent3342) he continued to chant those words as he looked over towards the book repeating exactly what was on the page, <"I call out to the void of fire, to bring an entity which is ready to make a deal."> the very fabric shifted in his hand as a small void like portal started to come into existence. Once it ruptured open flame spilled ot and it caused Vincent to cringe, (Resolve 42 to not to pull hand back and cringe like a baby while being burned.) and his hand held outward pulled back as flames licked along his arm doing its damage burning him as he cried out in a bit of pain. The damage done as an entity walked through the portal it closing behind her. The fiery haired woman looked at Vincent as if he was nothing more then a meal. <Mortal.... what is it you wish...> it asked no gracing him with a name yet. The woman speaking the language o the fire pane which made him look over at he beast, which was shaped like a woman, who's skin crackled with fire like shifting tattoos and flaming red hair which waved effortlessly in any breeze. Vincent fearfully spoke, and rightfully so, <"I am Vincent.... K-keene, and I Wish to make deal... and to hopefully earn your good will as a... a lesser summons."> [10:46] Vincent Keene (vincent3342) the fiery woman looked upon Vincent with a look that would burn a hole through the soul of anyone, <"You wish to enslave me to your whim and will.... an what do I get out of it?"> she asked with her fiery temper flaring outward, as the woman paced around the front half of the clay bowl watching vincent like a hawk. To which vincent replied a little less scared, but still fearful <"Y-yes in a way, I dislike the term enslavement as I-I will respect you're wishes about when you wish to leave."> he replied as he looked to her gulping, <"A-as for what you get out of it.... wh- What do you want?"> he stated ready to end the spell his arm starting to blister with the burn. The woman of ire laughed hard, and shook her head <"What do I want.... what any fire elemental wants... To see things /burn/.... so... you wish to use me to burn... so be it... I can... accept that. To see flame wrought destruction upon this fire-less plane...."> he said casting a hand forward a trail of flame behind it that she turned into a fist. <"But only that... and I shall not be held here for eternity like some play thing....."> she seethed at him, as she crouched down to look at Vincent, <"Understood...."> she said more as a direct order then a question. To which Vincent nodded fearfully, <"I- Yes... I understand..."> MAN dealing with elementals was HARD he really should of bought a book on them too in hindsight. [10:51] Vincent Keene (vincent3342) The fiery woman nodded her head, <"I'm glad you understand. My name is Nuria... and I'm sure..."> she said looking back at him as she stepped back and started to go back to her home plane. <"We will see each other again.... and soon."> to which the portal closed leaving a half circle of charred grass and earth in its wake. Vincent all doe Eyed at what he had just done, collapsed back his arm in sering pain as he looked up, "I- I'm alive!!!" h shouted and laughed a little before he remembered his pain in his arm and cringed a bit as he slowly stood up from his sitting position, the bowl had turned to dust in the collapse and the components used.... as he would have hopefully control over when e could summon that elemental... and he would start to move towards the way out of te wayward..... to get help laughing that he was... well... alive!

The tome of Bounding Ward
[09:43] Vincent Keene (vincent3342) he sighed softly as he looked around the shop, no one ws here, and he could of sworn the building was different, so he seemed reletively confused. he would hfuf softly as he moved towards the bell of the shop, and would put his hand on it to tap at it, letting it ring out its ding.
[10:19] Merialeth Windstar (caireannliadan) stopped just inside the doorway, her faintly-windblown hair and pinkened cheeks. A slight dip of her head as she murmurs "Good morning... what can I help you with?" then moved about him to head for her side of the counter. The small tin in her arm, placed to the side as she offered a smile and tilted her head perusing him politely.
[10:22] Vincent Keene (vincent3342) the door opened and he blinked, it was the lady from before! this brought a smile upon his face as he watched her move around him, and he'd give her space, "Greetings." he said as he only just now noticed the little points sticking from her ears as he spoke softly, "I finished the last book I bought, so, I'm here to buy another." he said with agrin, yeah the thirst for knowledge was strong in this one! He did note the small tin, as she perused him, she would see the sword at his side, if she had rounded him from behind there were.... strangely. two slits in the back of his tunic, which some could atribute to wear and him not getitng it repaired. "Also, I am here to order some magical supplies for the guard house to keep our battlemages supplied and ready." he said with a smile.
[10:27] Merialeth Windstar (caireannliadan) tipped her head, the flick of her gaze about him as she'd slipped around the back, her moment's glance lifting the corners of her lips and her eyes twinkling in bemusement as she noticed the tunic. Her head dipping softly as he spoke of books and inquired "Ah, which book are you looking for today, and what sort of supplies?" The soft rustle in the air as she moved about him would sound all too familiar though as she rounded the corner and lifted her gaze to him only her usual faint smile remained.
[10:38] Vincent Keene (vincent3342) he nodded his head, "Well, Bounded Warding, is todays prefered book and tomes of choice." he said with a laugh, "I plan on helping keep the Ladies house safe from those who would wish to seek harm..." he stated with a grin, and you know, things like elementals were okay, but the other three supernatural things like vampies, and demons, and ghosts, not so much. and he would scratch his chin as he moved to a pouch, hearing the rustle, and looked around yes it was familiar, and it caused him to have a half grin form as he looked to the woman suspiciously, "As for supplies, we're looking for material componants to be delivered atleast once a month and we're not looking for anything fancy, just what any basic mage needs to be able to cast the basic Evocation, Luck, Thaumaturgy, Mind Magic, Corpus, and Summoning magic." he said yes that was a lot of basic materials, but needed ones, dearly needed, "There needs to be enough to supply up to five mages for a month." he said, "though I dont think I've introduced myself which would explain the large order." he laughed a bit, "Sergeant Keene, Quarter Master for the Guard." he chuckled a little.. yep friendly talk!
[10:46] Merialeth Windstar (caireannliadan) lifted a brow then nodded, the book was easy enough, and that soft descant cascaded again from her lips as she turned on her toes and made her way to the scroll case. Eyes flicking lightly over the various spindles, her fingers lightly tracing the ends as she continued along. Reaching the top end of one row she'd glare a little and sigh as the scroll end glowed but she had to hop up to grip it and pull it down, the notes going awry as the Magic broke off and she'd grip the end of the spindle and pull it down. The slight roll of her eyes as she opened and perused it briefly then nodded and brought it back towards the counter. "Well, as far as the Bounding Ward, that would be this..." Her fingers holding up the aforementioned scroll. "And this will be a silver... as far as the supplies though... what components are you actually needing. Not everyone uses reagents, so... It's rather more a personal list than a general one..." Her bright green gaze cast up as she perused his face and tapped the scroll against her arm.
[10:50] Vincent Keene (vincent3342) he would open a seperate pouch then the one he had on his right side, and would place a silver from his own coffers and slide it across, "For now with the supplies, we'll start with general regents, if things more specialized come up, then I'm sure that the list will change to be something more adaquate to individual mages." he said with a smile. "Sorry to be so general about it, but, till I get a roster list, its the best I can do. The supplies dont have to be delivered today, or any time soon I'm just here to place the order and pay." as his orders were to keep the guards stocked and ready.
[10:51] Lιттle Ƭree (cedar.ashland) pushed open the door to the Augeriis and looked first at the man and then to Meri. A brow quirked and she slipped inside and save for the door closing behind her there wasn't a single sound made to speak of her presence, only the sight of her where her she stood. A twitch of her ears and Cedar moved herself further into the shop, moving past the man and settling herself near the counter's end. There, she eyed the bunch of fruit and a look considering came over her face. Grapes, delightful things, and in the class of fruit that Cedar had a mind to taste. So she began to sidle over towards the tray of them, in subtle movements of her form, though her gaze had wandered away to set itself upon other things. "Seems like a poor lot as has need fer mixin' an' throwin' o' shite abou' jus' ta cast their magic, aye?" she said to segue into the current conversation. Then she snorted and on its heels came a grin. "An' tha' sorry lot be tha guard? That righ' then?"
[10:57] Merialeth Windstar (caireannliadan) nodded softly, placing the scroll on the counter and taking up the coin instead. Her lips parted to reply as Cedar came in, the slight dip of her head and warm "Good morning to you..." Her eyes flicking between the pair and recentering on him as she considered his reply. "Well - I can do some of the generics, yes, but the sooner you get me a full list, the better off we'll both be, I can't guarantee stock or quantity without knowing what I'm supposed to be supplying and to who. But I'll do my best." A slight shrug of one shoulder, that soft rustling again sounding as she moved to put the coin in her lockbox before flickign a glance between Cedar's statement and Vincent's both and finally returning to him again "Meri, in case I hadn't mentioned..."
[10:59] Vincent Keene (vincent3342) he furrowed his brows, "You realize ever spell that is cast needs a component, something there to draw in the essence of mana right?" yes he spoke to the new woman, "Which would make your statement, about every mage... Which personally, say what you wish, but others might take quite the offense." he chuckled before looking back to MEri and bowed his head slightly, "Then greetings Meri, once you get a list of what you're supplying and the cost, just send the bill to the guard house and I'll see it payed in full." he said with a smile as he picked up the scroll and tucked it away, "Thank you again for your buisness." he said witha broad smile.
[11:03] Lιттle Ƭree (cedar.ashland) didn't use the kinds of components the man had asked after. And considering she'd specified the /sorts/ of components that she meant were sorry, she gave the man a look turned vapid and bemused. "Tha's a dense one, tha' is," Cedar said quietly, with her face turned over Meri's way. She shrugged however, saying nothing more upon the matter, and brought herself a bit nearer the platter of fruit. "If'n yer business's done ...?" she asked the elf, just about the moment her hand snaked out to grab the bunch of grapes. She pulled them quickly to her belly, low so that they were beneath the counter's edge and thus, more or less out of sight for the moment - and Cedar tilted her head. "At least ye'd make a pritty bit o' coin ta be supplyin' such thin's."
[11:10] Merialeth Windstar (caireannliadan) glanced again over at Cedar as Vincent spoke, the tip of her head and slight quirk of her lips then right back at him, as Meri'd shrug again, that rustling more pronounced this time. Reaching over for the glass to her side as she perused him a moment, then shrugged once more "I suppose for one that might be easily offended, it would be an issue, but - personally I don't use reagents in casting, and well.. I'm rather difficult to offend usually so... doesn't bother me a bit." The glass gripped carefully and brought to her lips just about the point Cedar was making a grab for the grapes, but didn't even faze Meri. She'd take a small sip of the juice then replace it where the grapes had been, "Sounds like a plan, and good luck with that spell there." Nodding towards the scroll again, that single note of Song passing her lips as the scroll tip glowed again and she'd nod softly "I rather like that particular spell myself, comes in handy." Her eyes flicked over as Cedar spoke of coin and gave a bit of a grin, Meri wasn't -all- sweetness and light. "That too, comes in handy..."
[11:12] Vincent Keene (vincent3342) he smiled softly as he nodded his head, "Like I said, to some." he would then bow slightly, "Thank you, and have a wonderful day, both of you." Indeed, he had asked for a lot, and would pay the cost indeed, but the guard house needed its supplies, and he was going to get them. As such he turned and would start towards the door leaving without another word after you know gathering the item he came for, cause leaving it would be silly!

Hahahaha Wipeout
[11:42] Vincent Keene (vincent3342) sighed softly as e looked down tot he tome infront of him. He would unroll it for the fifth time and would look it over as he walked down the street, hrming a little as he'd need to find an area not used to try this for the first time... he seemed to furrow his brows a bit as he looked over the spell, it seemed simple enough hopefully.... But where? That was the big thing where.... he would sigh a bit...
[11:55] Vincent Keene (vincent3342) he looked around, and hrmed softly as he found the fishing hut, this spot would do, and hat was because it held the least amount of impact if anyone stumbled across the ward. He would pace a bit as he found the center of the room and sat down, he would start to read the tome and hrm a bit... s he tilted his head to the side a little and would take in a few deep breaths... [11:59] Vincent Keene (vincent3342) he would read over the scroll and start to draw in magic, as a visible circle started to be drawn around the hut in magic, and Vincent really had to concentrate. The circle started to get about halfway done before it started to flicker, and Vincent would continue to pull his mana into the casting. Yep he was casting something he wasn't ready for but trial and error indeed.
[12:10] Vincent Keene (vincent3342) the circle rounds three quarters done as vincent started to sweat from the concentration in which he had to hold inorder to forfill this, he had forgotten what a wholop wards could do to ones personal strain. An he grunted a bit as as he forced the magic to flow from in in strains of translucent light to the edge of the circle which carved itself just a little around each of the poles of the hut, and Vincent strained a little more.
[12:13] Vincent Keene (vincent3342): Once he had completed the circle, he would look down breaking his concentration for a second, "Wardai." he would use a seal word which cause the seal to glow for a few moments, and he grinned as he thought he had completed it, thought he had done it, but then... the ward shattered sending cascading energies across the warf... sending vincent, tumbling backwards and tools everyhwere... even some fish back into the rivers and well vincent, found himself.... in the water shaken, shirred, and served with rocks... and so he would kick to the top and surface pulling himself up onto the warf drenched and defeated for the day.

Preparing the Room [21:22] Vincent Keene (vincent3342) sat at the desk and looked over it, as he sighed a little and got out the tome in which he had been studying... and he grumped a bit as he tilted his head to the side. He then started to look it over trying to figure out where he had gone wrong... why he had been blown off the docks.... maybe he had succeeded just making it a bit too powerful. [21:24] Vincent Keene (vincent3342): As he skimmed over the text he laughed a bit and shook his head slightly as he sighed, "Ah look at this... arent I stupid." he would look around the room and sigh a little they were going to get this room warded... he'd then stand up and start to look over the room making sure he took account of where things are... he didnt like that there where no drapes on the windows and he huffed a bit. [21:27] Vincent Keene (vincent3342): He shook his head as he moved towards the windows and took out a piece of chalk and ground it up a bit before getting ater and making a paste, he then began to draw on the windows a bit, making symbols, trying to follow what was in the tome, THIS is what he forgot, and so he was preparing the room to be warded from the supernatural... and he furrowed his brows slightly trying to get the runes right as he went around the room. [21:31] Vincent Keene (vincent3342): After completing the first two front windows he'd go for the back windows as he continued to jot things down on the windows and furrowed his brows a bit before going to consult the tome, he wouldn't have time to cast the spell tonight or even attempt it... this was going to give him time to look it over and do it right. [21:33] Vincent Keene (vincent3342) he sighed softly as he shook his head, and he would move a bit to the door and would complete the incant 'circle' and he would sigh a bit as he moved to the tome and would go from the window to window then to the door and nod his head as he looked it over, "I think I did it..." he said as he sighed a bit and moved back to his spot on the chair to go over the incantation and drawing of energies for the night.

The circle is complete [12:06] Vincent Keene (vincent3342) he sighed softly as he came into the bedroom and looked around, he needed to finish up the warding here.... so he would go to the desk and get the tome he left.... then proceed to touch up on the paint in which he had put on the windows and doors then settle in the middle of the room. [12:09] Vincent Keene (vincent3342) he opened the tome and sat, well almost in the middle of the room, he would then take a deep breath in and out to get into a meditative stance and he would hold his hands outwards as he began to channel the magic in the room. The spell felt easier to cast as a glowing circle started to go about the room. [12:11] Vincent Keene (vincent3342) the feeling of magic flowing from him was fantastic, it meant it was working! An he enjoyed when things worked, he would continue to let it ripple outwards around him, soon the runes on the window glowed even more so, and he grumped a bit as he would push forward...his arms starting to shake, the circle three quarters done [12:12] Vincent Keene (vincent3342) finally once the circle was complete and the runes painted on the windows were glowing he would stand up, wisps of magic and a bit of fire cascaded up a bit, nothing caught of coarse and he would say, "Wardi!" and bring his hands together, to seal the power in the circle of the room, to which nothing happened, and he looked around... had it worked? well he'd need to find nuria... to see but nothing adverse happened... and he looked down to his tome to read.... and he nodded slightly.... the runes had disappeared as well as the line at the door, by all accounts it had worked!
