Where are all you antagonists hiding? And I don't mean guardians of the realm who moonlight as baddies, but where are the real antagonists? In personal conversations it was brought up that more and more there is a utopia feel setting in. We're all fighting over who can give the best compliments, and patting each other on the back. I don't see many antagonists, if you take story weavers out then I have not seen any in a long time. Are you a protagonist or antagonist? What is our demographic?

Perhaps people could try to play antagonists if we are lacking them? My character tries to murder people and hates anything with legs usually. Be the change you want to see in the world!

I play an antagonist when I can actually rp. -waves from her under all her work- We are however working on a new guild and area for the antagonists we do have.

^ what they both said. And my character also antagonizes -- until she's KO'd. Which ... with an HP of 3 sadly happens pretty often!

While I get the "then play a antagonist" point of view. It was more a check to see who was actually playing what, especially antagonists. Switching to an antagonist for some may be like a bartender buying their own drinks because there are very few customers. I'm trying to see how many of each we have, or at least how many of each we have on the forums and if there is an imbalance try to see why and adjust to it. My first thought is maybe it is not an antagonist friendly sim, hope to find out the thoughts of others, and get some things going for everyone to enjoy So add more thoughts, don't be shy!

My alt Rogue is an antagonist, I wanna stir up some trouble with her. I mean her first day she got in a fight with an orc and lost an eye. So if anyone wants to do anything with her lemme know inworld But shes a bit of a weakling, its why all her skills are mostly in shadow and such, sneaky little thing.

The sim is made for antagonism. The very idea behind it is for such. The problem is that people are new and still feeling themselves out as well as each other.
There is also the combat system, with the dice, that many need to feel comfortable with before they take it out for a cruise.
And of course, we are working behind the scenes to encourage more of the not-so-goodly RP. Just added a slew of magic schools to that end this evening and there is a guild or faction that is in the works. Be patient, give things time, let people grow comfortable where they are and with the combat system and dice. More will take place. ^^

Currently my Evil character has no sense of belonging, being a part of anything greater or with purpose, and alone without goals to share so she is not played. If there was an evil faction, guild, or town, that would change. But until then, the moment she would do something bad she would most likely be hunted by everyone if found out - this is a guess, both IC and OOC.
I do not see how is the sim made for antagonism when the base of it appears good, and recently more neutral.

Me I say I'm a Protagonist, in the sense that Vincent is an advocate or champion of a particular cause or idea. Or at least so he believes, he is not one to start an open confrontation but rather uphold to the best ability his value system and the values of the guard. Being a Chaotic Good Character he lives by his own law system but will do things for the greater good. This isn't to say that his own system is right.
He is a Good character in that sense because he's not out to Antagonize, that's the job of you theif's, Rouges, Charlatons, bad guys, and all around evil doers.

I'm of the opinion antagonist RP shouldn't be dependant in a group set up for them. One is in the works, but I actually oppose the idea. It doesn't at all change the idea of repercussions, let's be honest. And I will point out that most crimes that can be committed have only the consequence of being fined. If the one who did them is even discovered. The factions should be against each other and some of the guilds but those are slow building, naturally, in terms of conflict for the sim.
Get out there and make your RP. If you're going to do things like murder and the heavier crimes, be smart about it. If you aren't, being a part of an evil group won't save you from the consequences anyway.

I'm not really an antagonist as much as I am that character in a story that helps out the protagonist, but seems awfully strange and maybe even a bit suspicious as time goes on, and then turns out to be quite the nasty guy, but STILL helps the protagonist every now and then in hopes of some bigger, brighter goal that really doesn't affect anyone in a negative or positive way, but by nature is definitely sorta evil... Does that make sense? That one quest giver in an RPG that sorta snickers every now and then and leaves you with weird rewards.. Maybe TP's you to strange places that you really don't like, but confuses you with ANOTHER really nice reward.. The bad guy you actually LIKE.
So yeah, I chose the batman category. He is Evil, but he has his own goals, and isn't out to actually light things on fire or make people bleed as much as he is getting his own interests completed.
