Of Dragons and Rings
A few weeks have passed since the noteworthy Dragon events in the City of Aberwyth. Though most were present to witness the great Wyrm and its final terror before ascending into the skies, few are aware of the troubles that led to such a frightening happening; Troubles that, perhaps with proper notification, could have been avoided. Thanks to Viveka Salcedo de la Rosa, however, we now have an explanation to what led to these events, and the ability to prepare should a second encounter ever occur.
It all started with a thief and a ring, Viveka explained. Finding an injured stranger was the first part of the long tale, followed by an apparition from the strangers wound demanding that found individual be left alone to suffer, and that a stolen ring be found, else the Island of Valesk suffer a Wyrm’s wrath. Luckily, with the help of an anonymous seer, a second thief was tracked down; The ring was recovered, safe and sound, with meticulous effort.
The rings nature itself was described as being cursed with the blood of many innocent strangers, a heirloom of some sorts from an old cult in a foreign land that committed heinous atrocities on the denizens of their territory.
The ring was thankfully returned, but not before some visits from the Dragoness herself. After a promise to Viveka that the Dragon and her servants would not return, the event of the Wyrm sitting upon the old Infirmary building ended with a flight to the heavens, the sights of a portal ripped with gold being seen high above.
The only advice that can be offered is to be wary of the monsters that visit our world. Not even the Goddess Valeska can guarantee our safety all the time, and we must always be on our guard and at high defense for the return of such creatures.

The Dire Fires
In other reports, the Mill House’s destruction by eye-witness Singarti flags and wolves only adds to the trouble of the realm after the burning of the Warden’s old Keep. Though little action has occurred since such, it is advised for traders, caravans and the like to not stray to deeply into the forests, nor set up too far a settlement in the wilds until further reports on the Wolvish troubles have been made.
It should also been none that as of recent, the City of Aberwyth and her Guard have chosen to take no particular stance on the recent happenings of the wolves, remaining neutral and true to her own cause.

Wordplay and Wine – Poet’s Paradise
A warm glow of a blazing hearth, cups and treats to add into the calming atmosphere begged for a poetry session to take place. Friends, those from lands far and wide, and histories deep rooted gathered together under the roof of the Second Glance Library, to entrance others with their tales of travels and tradition. It was a small group, but those that attend may agree it was worthwhile. As was the agreement, the gracious Bane of the Ugly Duckling Tavern provided various drinks and wines for the event, allowing such to take the form of a grand little party, a welcoming sight to all whom would enter the comfort of the building two days ago.
Aradhelon gave an extravagant and heartfelt love poem, surely it would be good in wooing whomever it was aimed at. The Valesk Voice owner entertained the crowd well with his theatrics and touching prose, ending it off with a lovely proposal. “If she might have me, accept my hand, Content my soul would rest in glee. I hope to earn the gold of your band, And thus the heart and my Jewel’s key.”
Young Asi was quite gleeful in the event, one could tell how much love he had for the wordplay at the event. Excitement and pride in his eyes, he thought of quite the confusing but all too interesting little poem. “I sit there and stare. It would stare back, if it could. But it’s eyes are gone.” Perhaps it is a riddle? One is unlikely to know for sure, but that does not stop the intrigue over those words.
It shall be strongly noted that there is no order in greatness to these tales. As captivating as the dancing lights that cloak the night, each and every story holds lessons, holds a small entrance into one’s one world, one’s one mind. We must cherish those as if they were the most fragile of treasures, for it is through tales that we grow together in our practice. We wish to give a special thank you to these two, for having voice fill our ever-listening ears, as we wish to give a special thank you to those who attended.
