Rp log:1.) [2015/08/29 21:00] /me Batman slowly makes his way into the magic shop, the door opening almost... on its own. A brow lofted as he walked through slowly. "Oi? Mages n shite?" he said, scanning the room as best he could, the auras and just general density of the shop quickly absorbing his gaze. Letting his eyes settle for the moment, he grew quiet and focused on the flickering of the candles on the desk. [2015/08/29 21:09] Merialeth Windstar: left chat range. [2015/08/29 21:10] Merialeth Windstar: entered chat range (7.43 m). [2015/08/29 21:16] Merialeth Windstar: /me was sat at her desk, poring through pages, brows furrowed and the tip of her head as her lower lip was tugged between her teeth. The sound of the door opening caught her attention, eyes flicking over and body leaning to study the figure that entered. The voice, and the accent catching her attention as she took him in, then lifted to her feet, padding down the stairs with a polite "Good evening, what can I do to help you?" [2015/08/29 21:20] Taegen V'hoori: entered chat range (19.86 m). [2015/08/29 21:23] /me Batman turned his gaze toward Meri as she spoke. Batman was a rather large...thing, let alone would obviously look like an elf. Some mutated sort of elf, from hell or something. Teal fire glowing inside of his skull where eyes were supposed to be. A dark ebony clearly not of any elven breed adorned his deeply muscled body. That gaze though, fierce and strong, pulled to Meri. "Is that not, something you should answer for me? I've little knowledge of your...skills, elf." he said, crossing his arms at the waist. Tapping a clawed finger against the opposite fur gauntlet. "I've... come to seek some sort of.." he rolled his hand, the common tongue was not his first nor one he was entirely fluent with. "Training...I am a bard." he said, bowing his head. "And as such, i wish to study here if there is proper tutelage." he said, recrossing his arms and waiting for a reply. [2015/08/29 21:30] Merialeth Windstar: /me had certainly not seen the likes of him before, but though she was intrigued, Meri didn't appear worried. That soft rustling at his reply as she curled her own arms lightly about her slender waist and peered up.. and up... She wasn't sure if the way he referred to her was caught between derision or plain statement, but she got th esense he obviously didn't consider himself such. Why woule he? That muscled mass, that strengthened form so -not- any sort of kin she'd ever seen and yet... "Well, it is rather the typical question for one who runs a business." The soft purr of merry laughter on her breath as she continued to peruse him politely, a mountain of questions coming to mind, though mostly discarded for now. "A Bard?" She didn't -disbelieve- him, but a hint of her surprise crept into her tone and she couldn't help it. "May I inquire what sort of instrument you play? I mean, I'd be delighted to assist you in your studies. Is there a certain focus you have in mind perhaps?" [2015/08/29 21:41] Taegen V'hoori: /me was out of the forest, cleaned and dressed properly in the first of many days -- Least for her. Still a leaf or two clung to her and her feet per usual was speckled with a bit of dirt. Either way the mess she had been a week or so prior had all but disappeared externally. Within? Perhaps not so much however there was not much to tell. Tonight of all nights she had an errand to run and rather than sitting, hiding within trees all night and observing the creatures inflicted by the moon's glow wreak havoc below, she ventured to complete them. Toes wiggling on the cobblestone outside the magic shop those elongated ears keenly twitched at the voices inside. There was laughter as well and she inched forward, hesitantly and her face expressed encouraging mental thoughts. Maybe the individuals inside would prove to be great company, surely it didn't sound so bleak. Fingers rubbed together and she reached to push open the door, slipping inside without sound from her bare feet. Eyes downcast they met that of just [2015/08/29 21:41] Taegen V'hoori: extremely large feet first and slow they trailed up the figure, emerald hues growing wide as the mass didn't seem to stop any time soon and she inched to the corner between the counter of the wall, looking away to find his companion who luckily ended up being a familiar face. A rush of relief swept over the avariel and she smiled sweetly towards the woman. " Hi. Uh sorry if im interrupting. " [2015/08/29 21:47] /me Batman would be a sore thumb if he ever claimed to be a 'full elf' to hide his garou roots. Most typically he referred to himself as a half-elf. And then there it was: the bard skepticism. "Oi bard. Play little lute, czehar, kalika an harp. Sing quite a bit too." he said, smirking a little bit. "I'm seekin a way to...better hun' demons. Filthy fuckin wretched shite." he said, almost spitting on the floor but...was a business. "Some way tah...lock the magic back perhaps? Stop 'm from being able to do anna-thin. You kin?" he shrugged, doing his best to explain -mana lock- without you know, pulling it out of his ass. "Sommat like that, an jus general...gettin used to how you folk 'er cas'n all this haze.." he said, though the 'haze' he referred to, was most likely nothing anyone else experienced as it was really just his seeing the thick arcane energies the island played off. "Elfie do sommat that yah?" he said, hearing the door open and turning to see...well, nothing. The door just opened. But then he felt [2015/08/29 21:47] /me Batman: something..eyes..so looking down, he saw the tiny elf looking up to him. Her eyes widening as she continued to scan him upward until she meandered over to the counter. "Yes, you and your silence was interrupting us. You should have more manners." he said, very seriously. "Alas I just came here to drain the shopkeeper of her blood." he said, reaching down to pat his knife a few times as he looked to Taegen. "Figure you's do well to be bled to nah?" he was fucking with them, but well, he had little in the lines of a 'comical' voice booming from his chest. [2015/08/29 21:52] Merialeth Windstar: /me shook her head, "No, you're not interrupting, it's quite alright..." the face looked somewhat familiar indeed though it has been so long, she couldn't quite place it. "Welcome to you as well, was there something you were looking for?" The avariel looked as surprised as Meri did to see such a huge form, though as he continued to speak, Meri broke off and peered up at him brows lifting. Whether or not she recognized the other woman, it was kin of some sort and Meri wouldn't go for that. "If you stop threatening my visitors , I'll consider helping you, but she obviously isn't here to challenge you, come now." The haze comment of course threw her a little, but she'd let it go considering the obvious differences. [2015/08/29 22:00] Taegen V'hoori: /me ears lowered ever so slightly at the retort given by the large man occupying most of the Magic shops front. Okay, well, maybe that was just her exaggerating but by Valeska was he terrifying. The impish wings at her back curled closer to it as if to hide them from view and she bit at the inside of her cheek, staring like a startled doe at the dark skinned stranger. Her lips parted to speak but no words had the audacity. However Meri did come to her rescue but that did not soften the intense desire to evacuate the premises. "I don't think I'd be much of a meal." she squeaked and contemplated climbing over the counter to her kin on the other side but for now stood her ground. [2015/08/29 22:06] /me Batman laughed. Loud. A deep, echoing bellow that would have brought tears but well...no way to cry really. "Oi bleedin jokin. Was jus seein if a little one would step up." he snorted a bit and bowed at the waist. "Name is Batman, is what i've been called most of my life." he introduced himself, to both of them as he settled back onto his right heel. Looking to Taegen now, thoroughly and shook his head. "Nay lass, you'd not be much of a meal." he gestured between the both of them. "Eatin either of you'd not be much for nourishment as much as just simply the enjoyment of it." he said, rather bluntly as he looked to Meri. "Help then? An I won't make either of you a meal?" [2015/08/29 22:13] Merialeth Windstar: /me watched the woman's reaction out of the corner of her eyes, the shift of ears and wings bringing a furrow to her brows. Though as he introduced himself, she'd smile again, dashing a reassuring look to the woman before lifting her gaze to him and chuckling again. "Merialeth, though most call me Meri, and yes, I think I might indeed have something that might assist your... quest of sorts." If the subject matter at hand had bothered he, there would be no hint of it in her tone or appearance, the wry shake of her head as she stepped towards the high scroll case, a soft burst of Song on her lips as fingers traced over the many ends poking free. It was only when she neared the top that her voice was a little strained, the scroll that glowed just out of her reach. She'd break off, stare, mutter, then look to him and crook a finger at him. "Come here please and pull this down for me?" Height had to be good for something, yes? She hummed again till the scroll glowed once more and he could see which one. [2015/08/29 22:15] Merialeth Windstar: bothered her * [2015/08/29 22:22] Taegen V'hoori: /me grinned sheepishly at them both and tried to breath easier. She could feel the welling anxiety pitted just below her ribcage and in between the diaphragm. The constant fear that kept her on edge but in some cases, wisely so. As introductions were given she chose to keep hers absent for now and listened. Trying to ignore the hulking mass to her right she turned towards the counter to wait her turn and watched Meri as she worked, brows raising as singing arose from the other woman. "Are the scrolls enchanted?" her voice peeped curiously and glanced to Batman as he was requested. [2015/08/29 22:27] /me Batman watched Meri as she introduced herself and then began on about something she had. His eyes followed her over to the shelf, which to him, was already glowing. The magic pulsing off the scrolls...but then as her entrancing song began to come out he saw one specific scroll grow brighter even, making it visible to those without his eyes. Nodding to her words he moved over and would snatch the scroll down and hand it off to Meri. Seeing the short and quiet one not offering her name, this only made him curious. As the scroll was offered to Meri he made his way back around the counter and stopped. Those glowing eyes placed firmly onto Taegen now. [2015/08/29 22:34] Merialeth Windstar: /me kept her gaze on Dae as she waited to see if he'd really come over or not. She could have cheated and spelled it to her, but sheesh, he can work a little too. As he brought it down and handed it over, she'd dash him a bright smile, "My thanks..." then tugged it open to double check the contents before rolling it back up and moving back to where she had stood. Her eyes lifting to his again as she considered a moment then, "You do realize, the rarity of this tends to make it a bit more errr, costly..." That warm smile shifting back to the woman as she murmured, "They are actually, yes, scrolls for learning spells, and some other things... are you a caster?" [2015/08/29 22:42] Taegen V'hoori: /me watched their interactions before letting her eyes wander the store a bit more. The oddities and trinkets that lined the walls were small but significant in abnormal not to mention the man vials and bottles of strange liquid that sat about, some with unreadable labels. It was only till Merialeth was speaking to her that her attention returned to the two around her and she noticed the brute's, well... eyes.... on her. The woman actually flinched in surprise and allowed her own to meet his endless gaze for just brief moment, inquisitive. Peeling away awkwardly and turning her back to him -- because not being able to see him made him less dangerous right?-- to return to a level of comfortableness. " Eh.. I dabble. I work in the infirmary." [2015/08/29 22:44] Taegen V'hoori: as abnormalities, not to mention the many* wtf [2015/08/29 22:51] /me Batman looked to Meri as she spoke and nodded. "Costly is not an issue if it helps with getting more demons properly sent back to where they belong..." he said, curious of the price..but he would just pilfer from Cedar's coffers when she was sleeping. As Taegen spoke he squinted a bit. "Your name girl, it is rude to not answer." he finally chimed in, eyes bouncing between both of the elves. [2015/08/29 22:54] Merialeth Windstar: /me 's expression warmed, another nod towards the woman, and though normally Meri might have asked more, with as ill at ease as the other seemed, now didn't feel like a good time to press. She'd watch as Dae stared down first the other then commented on the price, only wanting some sort of verification before mentioning, "Well enough, it'll be one silver for this." Sadly it wasn't one she knew it she'd offer the lessons to go with it, but she'd had the split second thought to say something higher just to get his reaction. Silly Meri. "It may be impolite, but it's also impolite to loom over people like that..." [2015/08/29 22:57] Merialeth Windstar: first one then the other* [2015/08/29 22:57] Merialeth Windstar: or she'd* (grumbles at autocorrect) [2015/08/29 23:01] Taegen V'hoori: /me felt his words at her back and the plumage shown to him visibly fluffed, ruffling and she peered over her shoulder slowly as he glared at her. "Its not important." she uttered in response quietly and feet slowly turning towards the door but stopped as she realized her business had yet to even start here. "Meri... I just need a recharge on an item." she said abruptly and with haste to the other elf. [2015/08/29 23:06] Taegen V'hoori: turned * [2015/08/29 23:07] Taegen V'hoori: [my brain has turned off, ignore me lol] [2015/08/29 23:08] /me Batman pulled out a silver, eying it as Meri spoke and then finally dropped the silver to the counter. "Thank you...now to figure out how this works..." he said, opening the scroll and beginning off ((sorry guys im like, nodding off -.- )) [2015/08/29 23:09] Batman: ((thank you for the rp and ill be back when i get some rest <33)) [2015/08/29 23:09] Merialeth Windstar: /me tilted her head, brows rising then nodded. "I'm sure I can likely help with that, what sort of enchantment is it?" She'd dash a smile over and exchange the scroll for the coin, adding "Enjoy your studies, if there's anything else you might think of, just let me know." 2.)3.)4.)5.)6.)
