Finally finding a warden....



[14:28] Pardon me, has anyone seen a warden of late?
[14:30] Iesteth Windsong stays focused. Even if simple, the enchantment she's working require a lot of attention. While still chanting slowly, she focus her will on the light, giving it a form, extremely smalls, beautiful curved lines of an ancient elven tridimensional glyph. From far away, it seems only like a highly concentrated spark of magic then seems to die out when it's completely absorbed into the jewel. Her face seems slightly exhausted when she opens her eyes and smiles with a slight pride, handing it out to the shop lady. "It's a bit crude... more subtle enchantments takes too much time. Just look at it to discharge the spell in you. It won't harm." She actually enchanted it with a one time "Hawk's Cunning" spell.
[14:34] Makkitotosimew (Kaija Arai) was happy to have no one call her out or notice she was up to mischief. She didn't know which it was the case but...no one yelled at her! Her fingers continued to twist and wiggle with her eyes fixated on the skull on the table. She only wished that perhaps she had cast alter voice on herself beforehand. But...half sleep pooka do not always think everything through. Suddenly, the skull would fly up off the table and in front of Gavin as he watched the other woman do whatever it was she was doing that Makki had not even bothered to try to observe. And once the skull was wiggling about in front of Gavin, she'd attempt to throw her voice and make it sound like a cackle was coming from there. A really high pitched cackle. "AH'S TAH GHOST OF YAS YES'ERDAY PAS!" And then would cackle some more till suddenly another fae was in the room. "All'ah dah wahrduns be hidin from meh! They knows ah's on a prankin rampage!" She'd say as she hopped on top of the shelf the rest of the way and flexed, though making her lose
[14:34] her concentration on the skull and it would fall, possibly on Gavin's lap. [far fingers 2/2]
[14:36] Merialeth Windstar just kind of grinned over at Gavin, a slight dip of her head in agreement, then returned her gaze to Iesteth as she completed the enchantment. A small dip as she realized what was being imbued, then took it from her and held it in her hand, her own soft Song filling the air as she tested it and nodded "Very well done for a quickie..." then flicked a glance over at the new arrival. "Hello there, I've not seen one for a couple days, but I've not been looking either. Your best bet is to ask at the Wardens Keep - the large palisade outside the village." And then Makki cast her spell, the skull wavering and wobbling and her voice coming from the corner brought a peal of laughter to her voice "Silly Pooka..."
[14:42] Lily Rose (LilyRoseHolly Resident) nods in discouragement. She was also supposed to be pranking them, but had her task first. "Thank you for your help all. I have been at the keep three days now on and off and found no one. I a also asked to let them know that the fae are displeased with them, that they owe the Queen an apology. But perhaps they know already and that's why I can't find them. She sat down right where she was, looking disgruntled.

[14:46] Gavinox: "EEEE!!!!" IT didnt need to tlk! It was a flying fuckin skull man! It was also all up in his grill! Having been kneeling on the damned chair and his sudden jump from being startled the chair toppled and Gavin went with it, a large thump sounding as he hit the floor, and the chair rolling ontop of him. "The fook was tha?!" And then the skull was muttering...in a voice....that he knew. "MAaaaaaakki!" He whined it at her even as his heart was thudding in his chest. Apparenly being scared made his heart beat even when it normally didnt.

There was someone new coming in though and Gavin had to fight withthe chair to get out of the way of the sunlight creping in the door. HUFF. "Wotcha want a Warden dfer? I hear they're all assholes and aint much like people no' like them."
[14:57] Iesteth Windsong feels a bit tired after such a rushed enchantment. She rubs her head softly in a try to hold herself up but feels too drained, and even a bit dazzy, not really realizing what is happening around. "I'd have to rest now... I'll... pass by another day. Sorry for the inconvenience" she bows politely and then rushes toward the door needing to get home and rest. (have to go to bed. it's getting way too late so I skipped post order. Bye!)
[14:58] Makkitotosimew (Kaija Arai) flopped onto her butt from laughing so hard at Gavin, quite possibly knocking a book or two over" Yas - yas....YAS SHULDA SEEN TAH LOOK ON YERS FACE GAHVIN! IS PRAHCELESS!" She wiped the tears that were starting to soak her fur covered skin away and let herself calm down, hopping off the shelves and onto the counter instead. "Tah wahrduns not ta be all baaahd. Jost....I donna knows. Crystiel says tha theys rahsponsible fer tah blight comin' to tah island on ahccountah them cuttin dahwn her tree. Was uh....Brahdahck anna Ahlla...or umtin like tha. But she ta be sayin they needa comes tah appahlahgize fer it afore they can come back to tah fahrest....an is a prahnk war. Not tha ah needs an excuse tah prank and all...OH! Mahri! Did'ja like mah fishies tha odder day?! Sirah wars soch a stooffy arse abouts it!"

[15:02] Merialeth Windstar sort of blinked a little at the woman's pronouncement, a tip of her head over at Makki with a brow raised... This was news to her... What wild hair had gotten up Crystiel's butt? But Gavin's reaction, even for someone that didn't do such silly things as pranking, well - she knew Makki hadn't meant any harm. Her eyes darted over to him with a soft good-natured chuckle "Well, like anyone else, it depends on the individual - I've met some Wardens that were wonderful people, and yes, some that are avowed idiots..." then nodded as Makki explained, though the content of it worried her. There had been enough going wrong to blame anyone. "It wasn't their fault... but I suppose that's not going to help much now..." she waved as Iesteth left with a nod of understanding to her words, then furrowed her brows again, the heavy sigh passing her lips, what bemusement there had been just as quickly gone. "I suppose it'll be up to Dae and the others to figure things out..."
[15:03] Merialeth Windstar added with a faint smile "I did indeed, your fishies were quite pretty..." because she almost missed that.
[15:05] Garrett (Arex Koltai) reached out to open the doors and make his way into the magic shop, his eyes scanning about for who was inside the room.
[15:05] Lily Rose (LilyRoseHolly Resident) looked up at the man being taunted with a skull as he spoke. A simple but effective trick. Good job on that- the man was quite scared. But then he was talking to her. "I am tasked with finding out what supplies they may need from the apothecary and infirmary. Though what I thought was a simple task has turned into a dragged out disaster. I cannot find one anywhere, and it doesn't seem that they will be making an appearance anytime soon with the glowing references I've been getting," she said sarcastically and fiddled with her hair.

[15:08] Lily Rose (LilyRoseHolly Resident) turns towards the man that just came in from the floor. "Are you a warden, Sir?" she asked with little hope.
[15:09] Gavinox: Kicked the chair off him finally and sat up with a crossing of his arms. "Oh yeah wel!....well....." He'd finally spotted her as she came down a little from her hiding spot but it made his cheeks heat. He /remembered/ chasing her al around Valesk...and what he'd said, and what he said he wanted to do. Suddenly he wished he was being scared again because now he was embarrassed and uncomfortable. "I....um...." He looked away from her. Nope. Forgot everything he as gonna say.

He needed a distraction...oh good! Righ the other fae YEAH! "They usually don jes....show up ey? But yeh suppose if ya wanted ya could....go to the keep an wot not."
[15:14] Makkitotosimew (Kaija Arai) shrugged her shoulders to what Meri said. "Ah just tah be likin' tah excuse tah prank. Ah gots here after tha blight hit, yah. Peoples has dif'ren stahries an all. But aht least ahs'a wahrnin them!" And as if on cue, there was one now! His ears must be burning. Makki seemed to get really REALLY excited when Garrett walked in, eyes glittering and a happy look that only rivaled when the jar was coming together quite nicely. She almost felt bad, though....he'd protected her. The poor non furred thing. An ear twitched and she seemed to give a pleading look to Meri and then back to Garrett. Slowly she'd make her way over to him, sit down at his feet and lean against his legs if he'd so allow it. "Gahrrett...yas likes Mahki, yah?" But then the other fae piped up and she didn't much like the idea of a stranger fae pranking someone that she actually considered one of her top four (and for the most part only) friends. "Nah! He's moine!" she'd say, wrapping arms and legs around his leg if she'd managed to lean
[15:14] against him. "Ah has'ta make sure this one is'na 'armed!" Cause she'd never forgive herself if he was. Which only made her all the more upset about having to prank him. "Gahrrett, tah fae queen ta be sayin tha is tha wahrdun's fault fer tha blight a'cause two cut down 'er tree, yah? Sah she wants an ahpahlagy from tha 'arbinger....an yas canna be goin tah the forest a'till he does anna there's ah prahnkin war out fer wahrduns now...." For now, Gavin was safe. And frankly, she'd rather forget the fact that he chased her all over the island and said all those things he said he wanted to do. She knew it wasn't his fault. She'd just pay him back with pranks.
[15:16] Merialeth Windstar flicked a glance over as the door opened and Garrett arrived. The woman's question met with a fleeting furrow of her brow and faint smile "Afternoon Garrett, it's good to see you again, what can I help with?" Gavin's comment earned a slight chuckle and wry glance though she wasn't completely sure if she should shoo him off, or welcome him in considering current company. But then Makki went over and 'claimed' him, the soft chuckle again quirking her lips though she'd add "If you do have polite business, and not pranks, you're welcome to discuss them here, otherwise - outside..." she'd nod towards the doorway then look back at the winged Fae.
[15:22] Garrett (Arex Koltai) offered a small wave and a smile towards Meri as she greeted him, and he responded in kind, "And to you as well..." Before he could answer her, though, his attention was slightly taken by the comments from Lily, Meri, and Makki. His brow furrowed as Makki explained what was happening and looked up towards Lily with the same frown, suggesting he didn't much care for her comment (he apparently assumed her statement had been aimed at the Wardens) and he spoke to both of them, "Yes. I indeed set out to starve myself and the people around me because I just so very much enjoy the feeling of hunger and despair. Quality governing there..." He looked to Makki as she continued to futz with his leg and then looked up towards Meri and spoke to her, "...well, my original plan was to ask for some glass vials for holding tinctures and essences..." He looked back to Makki and then to Meri and raised his eyebrows, "Seems like I need some sort of item to provide some sort of warning too..."
[15:26] Lily Rose (LilyRoseHolly Resident) looked rather pouty. "I've been to the keep more than I've seen my own house of late with nothing to show for it. I'm ready to think they'll just have to come to me. Or perhaps I could nail a notice to their door and they can just leave me a note as well." She played with her jewelry, making sure it was all sitting and shining as it should. "But, Sir, have you perhaps helped me bring my quest to an end by being a warden which I seek? I was tasked to tell you about the required apology, but now that you know, I will move to my next task. Little Tree has sent me for a list of any needed supplies from the apothecary and infirmary- salves and herbs and the like. If you are indeed a warden, that is all I require of you," and to all, "there will be no pranking from me as I find it most distasteful as there heightens the chance I may get dirty or hurt my clothes or jewelry." she listens to the man and happily, "I can provide you with vials, Sir, as well the tinctures to in them, as that is quite literally what
[15:26] I am here to do." she stood back up and clapped her hands with glee.

[15:31] Gavinox: Oh, it as a Garret/ "Uh....Allo..." and he wiggled his fingers in greeting. Gavin might look different...ya know...having clothes on and such D: but at least he was being friendly. "Did you and Viveka get my gifts?" He wasnt sure he hadnt seen either of them since hed left the house. He did give Garret a pigs bladder though, ya know, medieval condom and all as a 'oops my bad' for his awful timing while paying a visit to the house.

"Heh? Distasteful?" Did that Fae lady really just say that? He looked from her to Makki and frowned. "It ent al lthat bad." Now he felt like she as insulting his friend! "Prankin ent 'urt nobody. Scare the piss outta ya maybe but it ent so bad."
[15:34] Makkitotosimew (Kaija Arai) found herself feeling even more bad about the fact that Garrett was going to have to get pranked. Or else she was going to have to stalk him to keep it from happening. She'd turn back around and pat her hip where the sword from the fight to get rid of the blight hung. "Ah tah be tha shampion of tah fae inna foight tah save tha island. This one tah be a champion tah. He foight tah save tah island anna then he prahtected meh from tha crahzy fae tryina 'spirament on meh. Nah prankin tah the champion aside from tha champion! He not tah be tha one yas wantin anyhoots. Yas wantin' tha 'arbingar, yah!" Then she'd look up to Garrett and nod with a smile like she was doing him a huge favor. "We knooows ya not ta be doin it on purpose. Is jost wot Crystiel say tah do even though it wars an accahdent. I jost ta be likin' tah prank." Of course, the other fae was putting up no protest what so ever to not pranking Garrett, so...he was safe. Till she got the nerve to do it herself. She blinked when Gavin seemed to be
[15:34] defensive of her and she giggled and shook her head. "Nah alla tah fae ta be likin tah prank. Tah moontide not sah much. They does but not ahlways, yah. An some jost donna wot they's missin outta!"

[15:50] Merialeth Windstar was perfectly content to let the woman offer Garrett the supplies he needed - IF - it would save him from being hassled by her, and the fact that Cedar had asked it of her, otherwise, well Meri'd get it covered. One way or the other, Garreet would be taken care of.She'd glanced between Gavin and Garrett at the comment of being at the house, her brows furrowed. Small Isle after all it seemed... but had Meri known about the er... present, oh Goddess save her, she'd've been redder than her top and melted into the floor in about five seconds flat. Listening to Makki though settled her some, and she'd grin a little at the protectiveness.. knowing he'd be... mostly ok with makki's sense of right ... pranks aside.

[15:53] Garrett (Arex Koltai) nodded towards Lily's question to if he was a Warden, though he was not in the mood to give her a warmer greeting concerning what was happening. Instead, it came off as a colder, measured nod. One where he was very much keeping an eye on her for inevitable betrayal or some other things. That attitude softened somewhat as Makki gave Lily a better run down of Garrett's more heroic activities, though he still crossed his arms and frowned as Lily explained that she did have the ability to give him what he wanted. He did not seem to think she could be trusted, it seemed, and certainly so as he looked back to Meri, "...right...going to go ahead and ask the woman who does *not* have a vendetta out for me for shit I didn't do..." Maybe he was just in a sour mood. As Gavin spoke to him, he turned his head to blink before a small smile crossed over his face, "Oh! Yes, that wasn't necessary, though. But thank you..." He motioned towards the man, happy to speak to someone who wasn't going to be pushing his
[15:53] adrenaline through the roof in the future, "Glad to see you've got some better clothing..."

[15:56] Lily Rose (LilyRoseHolly Resident) giggles at the other fae. "No I'm no moontide. I'm just a terrible snob about my appearance and will be hard pressed to jeopardize it. I am quite beautiful, and I like to protect that, as well as my collection of shinies. So I don't prank very often." she smiled as she was being SO nice and explaining everything. Now the others would understand. I mean, who could argue with protecting shinies? They were so shiny! "Sir, if you have a list, and would be so kind to share it with me (with or without the vials), I will happily leave you in peace- no pranks from me; I swear it to be so. I was sent by Cedar to help you,and in that capacity, I cannot harm even if I were so inclined."
[15:59] Gavinox: "She ent gotta prank but she aint gotta say its distasteful neither." He couldnt help it, Makki was one one of his best friends here, and he had had two maybe three of them total. He was gonna be defensive and protective of the people he care about just like Makki did. "Yeh they dont know wot they missin out on an stuff."

Garret made him smile though. "Yer welcome! An' uh....yeh...clothes are good. I found the rest my shit too but it took forever....ent ever meet up with who took it though."

The other fae speaking up though he eyeballed her. Gavin wasnt so sure he trusted her, and Garret was Makki's friend and the friend of the nice lady that'd helped him, and though he didnt like what Gavin was the man tolerated him well enough. It meant Gavin would try and help him out if shit hit the fan.
[16:02] Makkitotosimew (Kaija Arai) blinked at Garrett's comment to Gavin. She finally released her death lock she had on his leg and critter crawled her way towards Gavin. Yes, the fact that he had different clothes on had occurred to her, but people changed clothes a lot. Garrett, not so much. She just hoped he washed those. Gavin though...this was his third outfit, or something ilkes. "Wot tah be 'appenin' tah yer clothes.....ahr dare ah ask?" The name Cedar finally occurred to her as well and her fur stood on end. She looked over her shoulder to make sure the fae hadn't also been sent with a paralyzing dart of her own. She'd look the woman over and her nose wrinkled. "Ah donna see wot tah be prahtectin bouts thems cloths, yah...thars tah much of em! Donna tah be knowin' 'ow yas gets around in all tha stoofs. Buut tah each thems own!" She'd look around to everyone and suddenly feel a little overwhelmed with lots of people, namely because the sharp shootin fae sent another fae to do things and she was never sure when she may get

[16:08] Merialeth Windstar for the moment, just stood there quietly, watching between each in turn and humming ever so faintly under her breath. As Garrett returned his attention to her, she'd nod softly "As you wish, though if there are items the Wardens need from the Apothecary, Cedar would be your best bet." nodding towards the other Fae as Cedar's messenger. "But the vials and such I can certainly take care of - just give me whatever list of sizes and such you might need and we'll go from there." The Fae's attitude brought a lift of Meri's brow and lift of her gaze upwards as if bseeching Valeska for patience... then shrugged at the promise adding to Garrett "Either way, as I said." The clothes comment Meri still wasn't real sure she waned to know, but maybe she'd ask Viveka later... yea, that was it... She'd beckon Makki over to her and murmur "There's a set of cushions upstairs I think you might like, nice and comfy for curling up on... or a big fluffy chair. I can't sit in it very comfortably, but I bet you'd like it. How about you go test it out for me?" She knew how Makki was about people, and figured giving her a
[16:08] Merialeth Windstar an out, couldn't hurt. The nap? Well, that'd be a bonus. Meri could use one herself about now.
[16:19] Garrett (Arex Koltai) absolutely washed his clothing. He just preferred to wear a light vest atop a simple roughspun shirt. And being the sort of person people didn't pay much outside of bursts of reward money, he rarely could afford to spend money on getting shirts dyed. Such it was that the majority of his clothing was brown or darkly colored. But, as Lily assured him that she had no intentions, his attention would be drawn back to her, and he narrowed his eyes slightly at her again before shrugging his shoulders lightly, "Very well. I just hope I do not regret this..." He should branch out to other opportunities as it is! He motioned to her and titled his head slightly, "I need vials and solutions to hold plant materials and other liquids...tinctures, obviously, as I said, but saps, liquids..." He figured she'd understand though he did motion to her, "And to your question about what we need...I can provide that information as well..." He looked back to Gavin and nodded to him as he assured him that clothing was
[16:19] good. It wasn't that Gavin himself was a problem, per se...it was just that the cultures he'd been around prior to valesk took a very dim view towards vampires and werewolves and other such creatures that seemed to think of anything not them as cattle at best. It was taking some adjustment on his part to come to terms with that.
[16:21] Gavinox: "Well, I need the long clothes that hides me when its day time out so I dont get set on fire and die fer real an shit ya know? The other clothes I like more but....someone stole some my clothes a bit ago. Stole right off my body too till I were naked! Then they hid them too. I found out cause someone say I had writtin on me.....fookers wrote on my nakedness!" Though as Makki said she was gonna head to take a nap he reached to try and pat one of those furry ears. "Ok Makki, and next time I'll 'ave anodder gift for ya kay?" He got her and Silvers gift back when he'd found his clothes but he wouldnt hold her up if she needed sleep t could wait until next time.

The new Fae was going on about how pretty she was though and Gavin just stared at her dead pan. Dont say it Gavin....dont say it.
[16:29] Lily Rose (LilyRoseHolly Resident) "Is that all that you require? I would go so far as to set up a mailbox if you have further needs you cannot think of at the moment, for I am only two cottages away from the infirmary. I really am only here to help," and to the other, "I can give you some clothes if you like, though you seem to distinctly dislike me judging from the look on your face. You would probably be best off seeing the seamstress about clothing and then you won't have to squish your face up like that anymore."
[16:30] Makkitotosimew (Kaija Arai) seemed to perk when there was talk of more places to sleep, though she generally preferred the more awkward places, and often slept shifted anyway so she could fit in the little ones. She'd lean into the pettings from Gavin and smile. Catch her tomorrow! Maybe. "Ah shall prahperly test um alls!" she said with a nod and started to waddle walk to the back and onwards to find where these things Meri was talking about were, wiggling her fingers in a wave as she went to say goodbye to everyone.
[16:32] Merialeth Windstar didn't blame garrett a bit, comfy clothes were comfy.. and wing-friendly was not as easy as it sounded, so.... yea - having your favored or favorite clothes, Meri understood all too well. It wasn't til Gavin went off about someone stealing clothes and leaving him naked that she'd really blush though, the idea and the realization that had the nameless person left him out in the day that'd be paramount to a death sentence for Gavin. -that thought brought a furrow of her brow and she'd sigh again faintly only to offer Garrett a reassuring smile. She wasn't worried about the business, Garrett would come back for other things. The good relations between Infirmary and Wardens meant far far more. She just watched as Makki toddled off with a chuckle on her breath. It was nice to have someone around all the time, and the Pooka was endearing.
[16:35] Garrett (Arex Koltai) nodded slightly towards Lily, "No doubt I'll have other needs when I actually have some plant material that needs to be processed, but we'll come to that when it's needed..." He looked back to Meri and then towards the others, his hands coming together, "Well...that covers what I needed..." He motioned towards the door, "Probably should get back to work..."
[16:38] Lily Rose (LilyRoseHolly Resident) "One last thing, Sir. Would you like that mailbox? I shall set it up this evening after I deliver this first list. It might have to go in my cottage, though it is not locked so that is not an issue."
[16:41] Gavinox whispers: "I ent trust ya, it makes me no really friendly." He liked Fae too! It was just her he wasnt sure about. Though as she mentioned his squishy face he smirked. "I jes aint inta people tha' are tha' much inta them selves. It tends ta make my face make do tha 'w' thing without me knowin it." Then his brow arched. "An, ya won' be prankin me fer sayin so later righ? Since ya find it distasteful an all.." Nope just didnt trust her. Nah ah.

With a chuckle from slightly behind he turned to see Meri, and blush and it made him give her one in turn like he'd understood where it was coming from. "It were mortifyin."


Garret leaving Gavin waved. "See ya mate, and tell yer lady I said thanks again please." And man that other fae was a pushy thing!
[16:41] Gavinox: In fact "Ya are a pushy hting." He had to say so

[16:46] Merialeth Windstar nodded warmly to Garrett, her usual soft musical murmur of "Take care please and I'll see you soon, am sure..." dipping her head politely then flicking a glance over at the Fae in surprise, her brows furrowing and a tip of her head before shrugging and returning her attention to Gavin "I can quite imagine..." offered quietly.
[16:47] Garrett (Arex Koltai) paused at the door as Lily queired him, "Sure? That's fine." He had to admit it would be one less thing to have to worry about when they needed supplies. He waved towards Meri and Gavin before he finally made his way back out of the tower and down the path
[16:50] Lily Rose (LilyRoseHolly Resident) "and you cast a smell strong enough to knock out the weak willed," she thought to herself. Why would anyone steal his clothes? The thought made her shiver. But being met with such disdain after she offered to be so kind to him... well, she could make exceptions in pranking. And she was patient. She could wait forever for perfection.
