[8/27/15] Patchnotes
Hello Valesk! This is our patchnote for the month of the August and hopefully will be one of few. We've heard you and worked on changes, updates and bringing new to the table. Below is the list of everything we've changed in the past month. Please read carefully! Free rerolls have been provided to any who want it or need it.
Mandatory Reroll with updates:
*New, improved and revised Garou Gifts.

*New Skill Overhaul. Adjusted fighting styles rules. Fighting style (Martial Skill) limited to fighters only. Must reroll before participating in combat as some may be now defunct or out of date, as well unable to be used.

General updates:

*Reformatting and updated homepage.
*Grappling rework on combat page.
*Adjusted restrictions/definitions of the protection from good and evil spells.
*No character is allowed more than 2 NPCs at a time. If a character is a Combat Mage (specified within their School of Magic) or a fighter with Fighting Styles, they may not have more than 1 NPC at a time.
*Added new explanation writeup re: Hit Points, armor, and shields to combat page.
*Removed the once per day, or once per scene, restriction from the following:

Concentration (is now once per scene)
Quick Shot
Terror of the Depths
Siren's Song
*New Businesses! Chione's Chicanery, The Valesk Voice and The Stitchery.
*New Schools of Magic:

*Added Plants & Animals page.
*Adjusted Cold Iron weakness on Fae page.
*Clarified which schools of magic produce combat mages.
*Adjusted fighting styles page re: classes and styles allowed.
*Adjusted spellcasting page re: armor mastery and Numinous Blades.
*Adjusted spellcasting page re: fighters trying to become mages IC.
*Adjusted various summoned NPCs spells.
*New Demon clarifications: Demons of Valesk are incapable of MOST human emotion (i.e. Love, Hate, Compassion, etc.). As such, Demons are immune to most spells that affect emotion. However, each Demon MUST choose a Vice that their psyche actively mimics on a daily basis. When a spell is used on them that instills their vice's emotion or an aspect thereof, the Demon will be susceptible to the spell's effects, increasing their pattern of behavior thricefold and following the spell as would anyone else. (i.e. Instill Greed for the greed vice; Instill Love for the lust vice, etc.)
*Adjusted HP for Fae and Mer, also adjusted Mer reduction traits on land.
*Adjusted Numinous Blades benefit.
*Updated HP on affected races:
Fae 4 to 5
Legged Mer 3 to 5
Gnoll/Harpy/Lizardfolk 4 to 5
Shifted Lycan 6 to 9
*Corrected Rental page to rephrase rental listings for clarity of -total- rentals as opposed to -available-
*Player animals can now be Companions via Spell.
*A character may carry/wear no more than 3 enchanted items at a time.

*Each character is restricted to the consumption of up to 3 magical potions per day, with no more than 1 potion allowed to be consumed per scene. Additional potions may only be consumed based on Resolve; characters with Resolve 4-6 may consume 1 additional potion per day (4 per day, 1 per scene), characters with Resolve 7-10 may consume 1 additional potion per day and 1 additional potion per scene (4 per day, 2 per scene). Please see the Alchemy page for more information.

*Updated Mage Bane orc gift.
*Updated the following spells: Mage Bolt, Flame Bolt, Sonic Burst, Drain Fate, and Slow.
*New Application.
*Half-breeds are allowed the following:
Racial bonus points from their base race (Human or Elf).
Up to two blessed Gifts. Only ONE may be chosen from each race. However, if Gifts are taken, TWO Limitations must be chosen as well; one from each race.
The traits that make subraces special do not carry onto their children if Half-breed. If a Half-breed's parentage is from a subrace, they retain no qualities of the subrace, presenting the general race's qualities instead. (i.e. Human / Elf with Tiefling and Avariel parents will not have any qualities belonging to Tieflings or Avariels but only Humans and Elves)
Human / Mer and Elf / Mer have only a Legged form. However, they may have mer attributes in appearance.
Human / Fae and Elf / Fae may have fae attributes in appearance, however they have a Humanoid form and cannot shift forms (only size if Pixie with Size Manipulation gift)
Certain racial Gifts may be restricted (see Gift descriptions).
*General Store now known as The Salted Cod
*Bookstore has been turned into a Library.
*In regards to Two Handed Whirl: Each character targeted will be allowed to roll Reflexes in defense to determine if they were hit or managed to dodge aside.
*Removed Aberwyth Bath House from Businesses of Valesk main page as well as link.
renamed the link to Opium Den on same page to reflect the business merge - Hot Springs.
*Spells of Predicants are considered "Divine". For example: pairing spells with this school such as "Cure Disease" could give the spell the ability to combat unholy afflictions. However, this divinity is neither specifically holy nor specifically unholy. As such, holy and unholy characters are both capable of being Predicants.
*Cleaned up The Queen's Blessing on drow page.
*Subraces no longer included as gifts.
*Subraces now featured in drop down menu under blessed races.
