The Events of the Full Moon, and the Growing Dangers in the Forest
What had seemed to transpire within the forests during the last full moon was finally explained thanks to the Alpha of the Singarti, who met with a representative of the Valesk Voice in hopes of alerting the Island of a strange, dangerous figure within the woods. What had occurred within those same woods was whispered about, though not many were too enlightened as to what truly transpired. Witnesses claimed to have seen strange flames and heard howls of pain, but not much was brought back to light for the Denizens of the Isle.
The Singarti Alpha revealed otherwise. Though still wishing to remain anonymous, they were adamant that what was meant to be a simple hunt through the forests with the rest of the Wolf-kin turned into a full-blown attack upon their pack by a shrouded hunter of an individual, who seemed to be experienced with combat techniques against the Shifter-kin. Two of the pack members were lost on that night, others gravely injured, and to add to the conflict the arrival of a Shadeling made the interaction far more complicated.
The Alpha made her warning for all those that travel through the forest to be on their guard, especially if one is of the Shifting races. Travelling in groups has been offered as a valid suggestion, especially nearing the time of the full moon approach, as it is currently unknown if such events are likely to repeat themselves with another grace of the nightly celestial body. The dangerous individual in question was said to be capable of summoning Elementals, and their ability to bring forth fire was regarded as obviously highly magical in nature.
In addition, they sought to ensure clarity in terms of the Singarti pack itself. Though many questionable events have occurred in the recent past pertaining to the Wolves, they made their attempt to reaffirm that they have their own view and reasons for the way things have progressed through the previous weeks, all of them understandable should any seek the information out.
But this is not the only strange enigma that is occurring and spreading throughout the Woods of the Island.
Certain reports are declaring that the woods are becoming darker and more sinister as the days pass, with the ground appearing to blacken and rot, the presence of shadows becoming more common and widespread than what was normal, despite clear skies and consistent sunshine.
Could these two events be related? No one can be sure, but with the growing darkness en-grouching the island in a plague-like fashion, worries of a second Shadeling onslaught are beginning to become rampant rumors, and the concept of purification rituals to remedy the growing shadows are being turned to more often.
One thing is absolute; Still no one is safe within the wilds, Wolf-kin or not.
