I try to accommodate people when it comes to their roleplay.
Therefor I'm constantly asking people what sort of events or roleplays they would like to see be played out in the Harbor.
I have a few ideas which I will be listing here but if anyone, anyone at all (you don't need to be part of the harbor to make a suggestion)
feel free to tell me or add your suggestion here.
Personally, I would like to do more than one monthly event, considering the harbor is a big part of Valesk and arguably the largest business on sim. It feels a shame not to utilize the space we have and create roleplay for others.
Some events would be repeated every month while others would just be a one time event, some events can last for a whole day while others would last for just a couple of hours.
But in case of an event, prims are allowed to stay out for 24 hours, so if people would like to continue the event after I log off ... they are certainly free to do so... until it's time for me to clean up the prim mess.
- tax day: Harbor Crew and Guards will be going around Lower Aberwyth to collect taxes from merchants and inhabitants (this would be an event that is repeated every month)
- market day: I know the general store has something similar but considering we have a harbor market already ... I would like to copy their idea and if the general store owner is willing and available, we can even do a co-op?
- fishing tournament: speaks for itself but will be followed by a public bbq
- Harbor justice day: in the event that a merchant or inhabitant becomes errant and obnoxious in any (ic) way, the harbor will make a public event out of making that person a public example ... if you don't know what I mean, use your imagination and think of Ashes ... the answer will come
(this would be an event that is repeated every monty)
- voting day: in the case a foreman or captain of guards needs to be elected, I would like to have public opinion voting for the right person
- complaint day: the harbor master isn't the most patient or gentle of Valeskians, but once a month she will take the time to listen to your complaints .... (this would be an event that is repeated every month)
- treasure hunt: speaks for itself; finders keepers
- harbor action day: every business that hasn't picked up their failed deliveries (we rang but you werent home) will be publically auctioned off
