[16:59] Rydia Suicide (rydia.mayako): Recruitment is top priority. While we three can stir up RP anywhere with the rest of the island, we need like.. more than us lol

[17:01] Adalori: So... how do we stir up recruitment for our faction? What's the best way to make ourselves appealing enough as a race/faction to get people to come to the sim to join us.

[17:01] Adalori: We can do fun events till we're blue in the face but if there aren't people here in the first place.

[17:03] Adalori: Like when we're at work? Or actively recruit in the landing zone.

[17:05] Adalori: I also think we should promote both our group and the sim in mer centric groups, like the medieval grid crier but for fishy folk.

[17:06] Hamar (w0mbraider): Im not sure of any good way to get ourselves out there outside of RP and maybe catching people up in the landing zone. Its not like we have commercials or anything.

[17:06] Hamar (w0mbraider): That'd be good.

[17:06] Adalori: ^ Groups, the criers and such are basically the commercials of SL

[17:07] Hamar (w0mbraider): Then never mind.

[17:09] Hamar (w0mbraider): Any other things we could hit upon? I dont really know much outside of the sim it's self.

[17:10] Rydia Suicide (rydia.mayako): I think, other than rp notice type groups, we need to make a presence on sim. Like a solid, "we're not going anywhere" presence. And let people know that we're not "Disney" mermaids

[17:12] Adalori: We do already have one idea for that in the works.

[17:13] Adalori: I was talking with Batman the other day and he mentioned another little nugget we could run with is the fact landers will have been fishing the water due to the lack of land food.

[17:14] Hamar (w0mbraider): Reanna played perfectly in to that.

[17:14] Adalori: It makes it a little more difficult with the lack of land leaders to just walk up and be all 'you need to tell your people to seek out a mer or pay tribute if they want to fish'

[17:14] Adalori: since I haven't actually -caught- anyone fishing ICly

[17:14] Adalori: maybe a notice to further stir up tensions

[17:15] Adalori: "mer swim the shores, keeping watch for those who would fish without paying tribute" something along those lines

[17:15] Hamar (w0mbraider): May want to keep in mind though that this may cause the Mer to look like Gophes.

[17:17] Hamar (w0mbraider): I wouldnt want the Rusalka to come off as the only way to get fish is to ask a Mer for it. it might make us look like servants to the landers in a way.

[17:17] Adalori: no I'm not saying the Mer go down and get the fish I'm saying before they are allowed to attempt to fish they must pay tribute

[17:18] Hamar (w0mbraider): Sirakess can always just start capsizing boats and cutting lines.

[17:20] Adalori: Yeah, we aren't playing fish catchers, just for them to be allowed to fish as there is likely to be over fishing with the lack of land food

[17:21] Adalori: I'll have to talk to an admin or SW just to make sure though since I wouldn't want to somehow 'dictate' that people have even been trying to fish unless they want to

[17:26] Adalori: So I'll hit up one of the SW or Admin and ask about it and maybe request an "event" for it. I'll have to double check the details. Anything else we might be missing? I know we have a holiday coming up we can use to draw in more players.
