[13:26] Gales Hawkblood peers through the door to make sure there is nothing suspicious before opening it fully
[13:27] Aurelia Lefevre (Guenevere Amaranth) steps outside and looks about warily, and sees nothing is amiss, but the sky is beautiful
[13:28] Aurelia Lefevre (Guenevere Amaranth) follows her husband, but has never quite learned the art of walking quickly as humans do, and hopes he will slow down.
[13:30] Gales Hawkblood stops to wait for his wife to catch up. He never went too far ahead of her, but always wanted to check around the next turn. If anything were to happen, he would rather it happened to him.
[13:34] Merialeth Windstar (caireannliadan) padded around the corner, her fingers tucking her hair back as she caught sight of the pair nearby. A slight dip of her head and warm smile as she murmured a soft and musical "Good day to you both, was there something I can help you with?"
[13:36] Aurelia Lefevre (Guenevere Amaranth) spies Merialeth, the owner of the magic shop, and bows graciously. "Vedui, my lady. I believe it is you and this shop I've come looking for. I am Aurelia, and this is my husband Gales. So pleased to meet you."
[13:37] Gales Hawkblood nods his head graciously. "Good day to you"
[13:39] Merialeth Windstar (caireannliadan) tips her head, the soft purr of merry laughter on her breath as she glances around for the 'lady' spoken of, then realizes it must be herself, she's referring to. "Ah, well - if you're looking for the Auguriis, then yes indeed, this would be the place. A pleasure to meet you both, come inside won't you, while you explain what it is you might be looking for? I'm Meri..."
[13:42] Gales Hawkblood stepped back and allowed his wife to speak. He was aware of magic. He could see it's presence better than most, and was even sure he could learn some of it, but as of yet had not.
[13:43] Aurelia Lefevre (Guenevere Amaranth) follows Meri into the shop, which is lovely and sparkling and light with fragrance. "Thank you, Meri. Tis a lovely shop indeed. I am here because I am rather newly arrived to Valesk and I had hoped you might be in need of employees at your shop. I am only of humble talents, but learn quickly. "
[13:44] Aurelia Lefevre (Guenevere Amaranth) adds. standing elegantly but humbly, "I have also been told this is the place young students come to acquire knowledge of new spells."
[13:46] Merialeth Windstar (caireannliadan) glanced about, the new environs still being worked out in their entirety, but it was getting there. A tip of her head the other direction as Aurelia spoke, the slight dip of her head in understanding as she perused her for a moment, then nodded once. "You would be correct in both respects, though I will ask what the extent of your studies are as of now? Are you looking to just work in the shop, or have you any skills in either enchantments or alchemy?"
[13:49] Aurelia Lefevre (Guenevere Amaranth) studies Meri's face, hoping she has not come off as too forward with this kind woman, tilting her head slightly to show her respect and interest. "I am but a Journeyman in both enchanting and alchemy, and may be of some help to you, I hope. I am looking to work in this shop, if you'd have me, but also to continue my studies and learn more.
[13:59] Gales Hawkblood Quietly looked around the shop ant took in the scents and sights. He could feel the strange energies coming off of some of the objects. Energies he couldn't identify. They just felt strange to him.
[14:00] Merialeth Windstar (caireannliadan) flicked a glance between them both, her brows furrowing again as she perused her companion's quiet form then back to Aurelia "Alright, then what I'd like you to do..." turning towards the counter, she'd slip around it, the soft rustle of her movements likely sounding familiar to them both as she rummaged around and brought forth a scroll. Meri'd unroll it, consider a moment, make a note or two, then step back around the counter to move towards Aurelia and hand it over "If you could fill this out for me, and then come back when you have time, I'll have you enchant something for me as a test. If you can do that successfully, then we'll see what we can work out. How's that sound?"
[14:03] Aurelia Lefevre (Guenevere Amaranth) takes the scroll from Meri, her small hand careful not to drop it. "Of course I should certainly do that, and would be grateful for the opportunity". She nods her head politely at Meri and waits until she is outside to see what the scroll contains.
[14:03] Gales Hawkblood smiled at Aurella. She had been dreaming about working in the magic shop since they had moved into Abwerwyth and she was being given a chance. He knew she was quite capable and had the skills she needed.
[14:07] Merialeth Windstar (caireannliadan) gave another smile and dip of her head, the glance between them both as she murmurs "I look forward to seeing you then."
[14:08] Gales Hawkblood Nods politely "A good day to you, madam." and offers Aurella his hand as he makes his way back to the entrance.
[14:10] Aurelia Lefevre (Guenevere Amaranth) nods her head courteously to Meri. "A good afternoon to you, then, and thank you for your kindness! We shall be off to explore, but shall certainly return. " With that, Aurelia takes small and elegant steps towards the door, pleased that Meri had such a pleasant vibe about her.
[14:25] Aurelia Lefevre (Guenevere Amaranth) notes to herself that people of Valesk are not so formal as she is used to, coming from a human royal court back in the other land. There are no curtsies and people address one another with much familiarity, which will take some getting used to.
[14:26] Aurelia Lefevre (Guenevere Amaranth) turns to Gales, as the pair spy the infirmary. "Is this the place of healing, then? I remember visiting when I first arrived, as I was quite tired."
[14:27] Gales Hawkblood nodes to Aurella. "This is where the heal the sick and fix the wounded, and around the building is where they go to pray and wish and dream"
[14:30] Aurelia Lefevre (Guenevere Amaranth) smiles, "It is a lovely place, because it is full of hopes and prayers for better times". She knows Gales has some medical talents, but is not certain if he is a healer, as he is a fighter, and the two seem not to go together.
[14:34] Gales Hawkblood points forward with a smile "The shrine of Valeska"
[14:36] Gales Hawkblood Thinks back to the hardships they had with the slave traders and how
[14:37] Aurelia Lefevre (Guenevere Amaranth) approaches closer, her eyes lighting up. She knows this is the quiet place she must go for her meditations when her powers need strengthening, and it is lovely. "It is a most beautiful place! You will have to tell me more about this shrine, and those who worship here".
[14:37] Gales Hawkblood Valeska rescued them all. He remembered his family and hoped that his sacrifice hadn't been in vain
[14:39] Gales Hawkblood tells his wife the story of how he had sold himself into slavery and how the slave ships crashed here and how it was Valeska who magically had freed them and put an "end" to the slave traders.
[14:41] Aurelia Lefevre (Guenevere Amaranth) looks sad and has tears in her eyes as she listens to the story her husband tells. Humans have so much pain to bear in such a short amount of time, she has learned. "So there is magic here, or faith, that saved the lives of so many?"
[14:41] The Shrine: Shrine of Valeska: The Shrine of Valeska Stands before you, risen, seemingly from the waters itself. The air around the shrine is thick with a heavy presence, as if the goddess herself watches over the area. This place of worship is sacred to the island. A place where prayers can be answered. [14:41] Gales Hawkblood steps out onto each rock one by one and pays homage to Valeska for a moment
[14:42] Gales Hawkblood smiles again. "It's a little bit of both, my love. Both magic and faith working together"
[14:43] Aurelia Lefevre (Guenevere Amaranth) approaches the shrine as her husband worships, and sends her gratitude for sparing Gales' life so they might meet here many years later, as if it were destiny, and smiles at the Lady.
