((Thanks to Ephralia for recording this))
15 October 2015
Scene: outside the elven hall in the Vale, where a council table and chairs has been set up.
[15:49] Rei Anundr Aldin (rei.lowtide) had been leaning against a tree and just observing the round table that had been set up in the Vale. He quirked his brow underneath his hood. They better figure this thing out.
[15:53] Crystiel Thistlebush walks into the Vale and her eyes go big seeing the large table spread out before her, she nods to everyone she passes, but remains quiet. she makes her way to the table and climbs up on one of the seats and proceeds to pull out a few Journals from her satchel, an ink jar and a quill and sets it all up in front of her. Ready to read her notes....and write down new ones as they are presented.
[15:54] Ephralia: Eph pops out of the hall laden with a large tray of smoked-fish appetizers. The tidbits are seasoned with herbs and wrapped in hygienic edible leaves in elven fashion. "Doo, doo, be doo doo, be doo." she hums. Spotting Crystiel, she says, "Greetings, Crystiel!!" and seeing that formerly stinky hooded silent guy yonder she waves and repeats, "Greetings!"
[15:56] Crystiel Thistlebush smiles and nods to Eph, "Vedui, Eph.....a great day for a meeting eh?"
[15:58] Ephralia: "It's a good day, Crystiel. I'm happy we're getting together. I think there are a lot of smart people on the island, and it's high time we convened the brain trust! ... Fish?" Eph offers a fish-roll to the diminutive queen
[15:59] Crystiel Thistlebush shakes her head, "No thank you, Im a vegetarian" she says with a smile, but gives a small bow of appreciation for the offer..
[16:00] Sin'istram (w0mbraider Resident) kept silent at the Idani's side. As Ephralia came in to view he would nod to her in greeting. He silently chided himself at forgetting to repay her kindness for letting him try a walnut the other day.
[16:00] Luna the Grovewalker (ThymeNoelle Resident) nods her head at the question. "We do, thank you. We salted half and dried half. Not many have come this week for rations. They have either found other sources of food or they have died." She said it just like that, as if them dying were no big thang. Luna just wasn't very emotionally connected to much. She glanced at the gathering of people and was secretly glad Sol had not come. He was not good in social situations. She did look down at herself and smoothed her hand over her worn leather and fur. No fine clothing for her. At best she looked like a barbarian or viking trying to fit in. A slight frown bowed her plump lips but it was fleeting.
[16:03] Emmaline Anundr Aldin (emmaline.mynx) comes down from her chambers and, hearing voices outside, moves to greet the meeting attendees. She saw Ephralia and Cheyenne, Luna and the Idani, Crystiel and, surprisingly, the hooded man. He was an enigma, but she let that thought go as Meri came down from the Augruiis. It was almost time to start.
[16:03] Ephralia: "Understood, milady!" Eph says graciously to Crystiel and thereafter as she lays fish-herb-snacks out around the table, she leaves a gap at Crystiel. Seeing others arriving, Eph plays reception committee, "Greetings, one and all! Guild or group leaders, please be seated! Everyone else is welcom, even if we have no chair for you!"
[16:03] Makkitotosimew (Kaija Arai) followed Meri around like she'd known the woman her whole life, especially since she didn't see Crystiel yet.....
[16:08] Nixie (adalori) figured people were lucky she even wore clothes... so Luna's attire never even crossed her mind. Turning at the sudden influx of people and looking though a frown would cross her features. "It is good you still have supplies at the very least. At the invitation of Ephralia she'd wander on over and... pick a spot she supposed. Chairs were... odd.
[16:08] Cheyenne Frostwych strolls up to the meeting after hearing there was a chance of food but also to find Eph. She weaved through the crowd to get to Eph "I'm here!" she exclaimed and smiled at Eph.
[16:09] Emmaline Anundr Aldin (emmaline.mynx) watches as the courtyard begins to fill. It was a good sign and expected. Everyone knew that the Blight had to be defeated. She nodded to each knew arrival, offering them a sweet and friendly smile, making motion to the chairs and telling them, "Faction leads are invited to take a seat. We will begin soon."
[16:09] Luna the Grovewalker (ThymeNoelle Resident) watched all the people arriving as well. When Emma called them over she made long strides on silent booted feet, pulled out a chair and hung her bow on the back of it. She settled herself right in. No social anxiety here.... or she just didn't understand social norms. Either way, she sat there watching everyone and wondering why they remained standing.
[16:10] Aurelia Lefevre (Guenevere Amaranth) walks in quietly, having heard talk of a meeting, and politely bows to all the familiar faces and waves in greeting. She has been in her own little world lately, and curious what will be discussed!
[16:11] Sin'istram (w0mbraider Resident) strode forward at the Tari's words to the table and offered a chair for the Idani. He'd quietly looked to the others as they arrived. He would stand behind her as they all began to congregate and contented himself by watching the busywork of those arriving.
[16:11] Makkitotosimew (Kaija Arai) finally spotted Crystiel and crept in behind her seat, peeking over at the little fae, still very tempted to grab her and see if she squeaked when squeezed. Another time, perhaps. She curled up under Crystiel's seat and got comfy.
[16:12] Ephralia: Eph finishes laying out generous amounts of herbed-fish-snacks whose elaborate French preparation might make Nixie wonder what /happened/ to the fish she donated. She then squeeks, "Lieutenant!" and bops over to offer Cheyenne her own bit of sushi. Eph still bears a tray of food. She plans to circulate.
[16:12] Elka Petrova (Adylin Resident) turns to elbow Kindo gently and then jerks her head toward the mer before whispering something into his ear. She gave him a look waiting for him to acknowledge what she had whispered and then turned around to face the table once more waiting for this party to get started.
[16:13] Merialeth Windstar (caireannliadan) finally got herself settled, her mind a blur, and trying desperately to get her head off of the news Cedar had given, Meri'd find her way down to the plaza. A smile cast over at Emma, and the others she recognized, a soft dip of her head offered, then cast her gaze about trying to see who had arrived, only to catch Rei out of the corner of her eyes at the edge of the tree. She'd pad over that way and murmur a quiet but warm "Vedui... it's good to see you..." Her voice soft, only passing at the most to Elka and Kindo behind her as she gave him a smile. "Are things well?"
[16:14] Crystiel Thistlebush smiles and ws already in her seat...though nobody would see her is she sat, so just stands on the cushion instead, hearing movement behind her she turns and smiles at Makki and gives her a nod in greeting, then goes back to listening to people. her hand scratching away in her journal as she records who arrives...and for those she doesnt know the name of, she would write a brief description.
[16:14] Cheyenne Frostwych swallows the sushi hole and picks a whole lot of other sushi from the tray Eph held. "Thank you Eph, how is the meeting preparations going so far?" she looked over Eph to emma and smiled and waved at her. "How good to see you Em'!"
[16:14] Rei Anundr Aldin (rei.lowtide) remained leaning against the tree. He was only an observer. He sniffled as the Vale began to fill with people. He assumed a good majority of Valesk would come here to watch. His eyes did drift to the Auguriis owner. As she wandered closer to him he'd flash her a smile from the shadow of his hood. "They are well. Looks like a lot of people showed up," he answered her from where he sat. "How was your day?" he asked just as softly.
[16:15] Gales Hawkblood quietly walked up to the table and held his quiet. Holding firmly to Aurelia's hand he was unsure of the protocols of an event such as this.
[16:17] Garrett (Arex Koltai) made his way down to vale bottom, and sure enough, there was a gaggle of folk sitting around. He made his way to the chair at Luna's right side and sat down heavily into it, as if it was absolutely his chair. It certainly was now. He offered an acknowledging nods towards Luna before settling into the cushion and trying to get comfortable. A task he seemed to be failing at
[16:18] Kindo passed an idle glance across the whole of the crowd. Trying to make note of faces he didn't already know would be pointless for now until he had something to attach to that memory. They were faces in a crowd, all. Minding Elka's prodding, his gazed snapped over to her person of interest. He nodded, though intended to remain quiet and close for the time being. It wasn't his show afterall.
[16:19] Makkitotosimew (Kaija Arai) had finally managed to squeeze herself under the chair just in time to notice Crystiel's nod. She beamed a toothy grin in her direction, tail starting to take a mind of it's own and since her back half was more under the table than under the chair, said tail started beating against the underside of the table with a thud. She pulled her pipe from her mouth, the bit a little chewed up thanks to her teeth and tapped it on the ground idly.
[16:19] Ephralia: Eph grins at Cheyenne and her appetite, then goes to Aurelia and Gales and offers them fish snacks from a large tray she carries. "Vedui!" she greets warmly. ""Do stay to learn the news and meet our fellow island dwellers."
[16:19] Whisper (TigerlilyLei Resident) landed directly on the table and walked over to stand near Crystiel as she peered about at the grouping of others with her blank eyes.
[16:20] Cheyenne Frostwych grins at Eph and winks and goes and sits down at the table waiting for the meeting to start.
[16:21] Aurelia Lefevre (Guenevere Amaranth) nods at Eph in greeting. "Hello, my friend!! Lovely to see you again!!" She plucks an hors d'oeuvres from the tray, but holds it rather than eating it. "I trust things are well!"
[16:22] Emmaline Anundr Aldin (emmaline.mynx) smiled and lifted a hand in greeting to Cheyenne. She and Eph were a boon to the Elven society--both of them a blessing to her. She counted heads to see if everyone who was invited to be here had arrived. She looked to see if the Alpah was here, peering over heads. Yes, there she was, and Emma waved her over, calling, "Join us at the table, Alpha Elka." Yes, they would begin in just a moment. She motioned to Meri, too, to join her at the round table. She probably knew more about the clues and how they all fit than anyone.
[16:22] Merialeth Windstar (caireannliadan) shrugged lightly, her wings pulling in snug against her shoulders, keeping that same faint tone. "Well enough." Her eyes flicking back to those about them and back to him once more as she murmured "Soon now, yes?" Her eyes drew in every bit of him, her expression caught between concern and frustration. A faint swallow then that still quiet tone "I'm sorry - I ..." She hadn't even realized who was behind her, just "Come back safely, alright?" The sounds of the voices behind her drawing her attention away then darting back to him "I have to go... I'll see you before you leave, yes?" That quick question offered, then darting her eyes back behind her
[16:23] Gea'ndros moved through the woods quietly, following the bit of parchment left to her by Nixie, and stood to take her place beside the Idani. Dual toned eyes crackle slightly as she levels that gaze on each and every body assembled.
[16:24] Crystiel Thistlebush looks up from her journal that was opened up on the table before her and smiles at Whisper, seeing the Fairy land on the table near her and gives her a nod in greeting as well, but remains quiet a sshe listens to the others...and writes down the names of the people who arrive...or at least a decription of them and which faction she thinks they represent...some harder to pinpoint then others.
[16:25] Rei Anundr Aldin (rei.lowtide) tilted his head as she started to apologize to him. He was bewildered why. "I'll wait for you to finish," he promised her before nodding his head towards the crowd. "Go." He smiled at her. She was important and he knew it.
[16:25] Ephralia: Eph winks merrily at Aurelia, "All is well in my soul, whatever ills befall the mortal coil, eh?" and Eph drifts off to Elka and Kindo. The big tray of leaf-wrapped herbed fish morsels was still about 1/3 full, and she offers the food to them. "Feel free to eat, lord and lady."
[16:26] Nixie (adalori) wasn't quite sure what had happened to the fish she'd brought but.... she peered at it, then around to all gathered, quite an assortment of people, gaze flickering around and lingering on each person in turn.
[16:27] Merialeth Windstar (caireannliadan) just nodded, dashed him a smile, and turned to head towards the table at Emma's side. "Sorry sorry, I'm here..." offering Emma a bright smile if a bit harried as she glanced around and tried to see if everyone was assembled. It was Emma's party, but she'd be here to help as she could, she'd promised herself.
[16:27] Elka Petrova (Adylin Resident) waves off the woman who offered her food to move to the table and sit since apparently that was what was asked of her. She left Kindo to either join her or stand where he was. Giving Emma a forced uneasy smile doing her best to pretend she didn't hate being here.
[16:28] Aurelia Lefevre (Guenevere Amaranth) smiles in sympathy at Eph, who always had her spirits up, no matter what. "Indeed, my friend, tis the spirit that must be strong and have faith for better times. And you are always in merry ones!!"
[16:28] Iehaithia (rannulfr) floated up, rustling of trees and cloaks to mark her arrival as well as the constant crackling of electricity that followed her form. The air elemental situated itself behind its mistress silently.
[16:29] Kindo fixed his gaze on the opposite side of the large table. His chest swelled with firm patterned repetition, keeping himself clear for Elka's sake. He hadn't expected to be offered food, and when he realized the woman wielding the platter was doing just that he paused with a moment of hesitation. "Nye. I'm full." He lied casually and cruised passed the woman toward the table, taking a seat beside Elka.
[16:30] Ephralia: Eph grins and salutes as Elka and Kindo take their places, and moves on to .. Rei. "Fish, milord" Eph inquires of the mysterious gent
[16:32] Rei Anundr Aldin (rei.lowtide) reaches up to take the offered fish. "Di--- Thank you," he corrected himself before going on and munching. Anyone would be a sucker to pass up on free food!
-----Meeting begins -------
[16:33] Emmaline Anundr Aldin (emmaline.mynx) stood and told those present, raising her hands for quiet, "Welcome, all of you from the races and peoples of the Isle of Valesk. You demonstrate by your presence your willingness to work together as one people to put an end to the cursed blight that plagues our home. I would open this meeting with an explanation from each faction represented of what part or parts they know about in the stream of clues we have been given on how to cure the blight. The Elves have discovered that holy water from jValeska's temple site is necessary to anoint the swords given to the Singarti and the Wardens." She left it short and sweet, letting the information be built upon by the others.
[16:34] Ephralia: Eph beams a warm smile to Rei, then passes the tray to the regular serving staff and sneaks into a seat herself, 'tween Emma and Chey as Emma sets the stage.
[16:39] Luna the Grovewalker (ThymeNoelle Resident) glanced around at everyone and then followed in Emma's footsteps. She stood up and nodded to those seated. "I am known as Luna the Grovewalker and I represent the Wardens. We currently have the chest that many of you worked together to get. We have discovered the connection of the elements to opening the riddles and through much communication with all of you, that together we must build a weapon to combat the darkness." Was that all? She scratched the back of her neck suddenly exceptionally aware that social gatherings were not her thing, either. She sat back down and folded her hands in her lap.
[16:45] Ephralia: Eph indulges in a fish stick, then settles down to looking properly proper, straight-backed, and noble, even if slightly gaunt from the recent hardships.
[16:47] Garrett (Arex Koltai) leaned back and folded his hands behind his head to listen to the proceedings before sweeping his legs out from under the table to rest atop the corner, right ankle over the left. It was clearly the only way he could get comfortable in the provided chairs. Clearly.
[16:47] Makkitotosimew (Kaija Arai) considered since there seemed to be extra seats about...and one wrong move from her could send Crystiel's chair toppling over, with her in it, she backed out from under the little one's chair, crawling now under the table till she got to the one between the fae and Kindo and scampered into it, much like a cat's movements, and rather than sitting on it normally, she was propped up on her toes and rump resting on her heels. With a smile, she offered her pipe to Kindo. No one could ever say she wasn't willing to be nice to others.
[16:48] Crystiel Thistlebush smiles and nods as she sets down her quill and then climbs up on the tables so people could see her, "My Name is Crystiel Thistlebush, Im the current Nama of the Fae in Valesk. I had received a pouch from a Hooded man, with two minds...inside was a riddle "Tis not what that is key... 'tis who. The moon may control their strengths, but they control their own morals. Under the silt, one can expect to find the hilt, to blades not one but many, all are needed to wield that many" there was also a Map and a bronze key...the Singarti contacted me and recived the Key and map....it was Also I who created the enchanted Tree in the Forest, that held back the darkness...till someone chopped it down....it now Lies as a Puddle of Tainted Goo in the heart of the Forest, resisting forms of purification....I was also told of the tent in the Forest by the hooded man....the mind that told me was a Liar...and said that the black robed men in the tent had a "Cure"...but made it seem as if he meant "Poison" instead.....thats alI I have..Im sure the other parts I know will be told in depth by others..."
[16:54] Nixie (adalori) likely had nothing to say that they hadn't already heard but would speak, her odd voice heard easily enough and standing as the rest had "One of the hooded ones entrusted the Wardens chest to the Rusalka that it would not fall into the wrong hands. The previous Harbinger exchanged it for a pearl along with a riddle that was revealed that meshes together with all the others." she would recite the riddle despite most perhaps having heard it once already. "They come from the elements, they go to the elements, lies from their heart, from truth difficult to tell apart.. The darkness will end, if the differences be mend. Water, Fire, Earth and Air. Innawoods is their lair." she paused for a moment, adding in the information she'd gathered from both peering into the past of the Warden's Chest and the Scrying she had accomplished last night. "Innawoods... deeper in the forest. There are likely four of these druids, or at least that many. Hiding veiled wherever this... Innawoods is." with that she'd settle back in her chair, not divulging how or where she'd gotten the last bit of information unless asked to elaborate.
[16:54] Nixie (adalori) likely had nothing to say that they hadn't already heard but would speak, her odd voice heard easily enough and standing as the rest had "One of the hooded ones entrusted the Wardens chest to the Rusalka that it would not fall into the wrong hands. [16:59] Elka Petrova (Adylin Resident) listened to all those that went ahead of her and when it came to her she lifted her shoulders in a nonchalant shrug, "There isn't any thing more I can tell about our part in this that hasn't already been told by those who have already spoken. Except that I was brought blood from a druid, it may not come as a surprise to anyone else at this table, but according to their blood they are hidden in the forest. I suspect if we are to find them and destroy them that is where the hunt should start."
[17:01] Ephralia: Eph pipes up, "These hooded guys .... Were any of 'em ... female? 'Cause one hooded witch sure caused mayhem up in Upper Aberwyth last week."
[17:02] Merialeth Windstar (caireannliadan) glanced at the tall chairs, then cast a look over at Emma for a moment... Shaking her head with a wry smile, she'd move around the far side of the table and grab up one of the shorter-backed chairs... Carefully hefting it and walking it back with a soft puff of effort, too much time to spell it, and dropped it a bit heavily besides Emma's chair with a soft chuckle before finally settling in. Her shoulders hunched somewhat til she got comfortable, then tugged back the hood from her hair and sat up, with her wings behind her and listened as the others spoke. The contents of the other letters she hadn't heard perked her interest, committing the pieces to memory as she could, a slow nod as Elka mentioned using blood to trace them. It was a spell she'd seen before, and knew it might come in handy again later. She'd pause a moment then finally offer up her own "From what we've been able to gather as Emma mentioned..." nodding her head towards the Tari, "...it's the linking of them all, and Valeska's blessing that has to give us the final key. I know some may know where the source of Her blessed waters is, I've shown Emma though so once we have all the pieces together, which I pray is soon, we'll be able to move forward and end this once and for all. That has to be the key, we need to get these components together, create these swords, get Her blessing upon them... and go forward, until then, we're at a stalemate."
[17:09] Kindo was focused on the goings-on and words exchanged around the table. It was nonsense to him, riddles and all...it just didn't make any sense. His fat hands and fingers sat and kneaded into the wrinkled seat of his face, pushing his cheek around when the odd little critter worked its way up into the neighboring chair and extended her pipe to him. He leered at it, not entirely sure what to make of what he'd been offered there and who was offering it. After a moment of scrutiny, he finally reached out and took hold of it, dabbing the reed on his lips and sucking back on the slender piece. Smoke flooded his passages, and though it didn't force him to cough, his eyes flared with surprise. "Strawberries?..." He whispered with acute inquiry to the stranger before passing it back toward her. He eased back into his chair and let the smoke slowly filter out of his nostrils.
[17:09] Emmaline Anundr Aldin (emmaline.mynx) nodded, trying to link the information from each faction the best she could. It was much like fitting together the pieces of a quilt. Lots of pieces which made no sense unless sewn together in the proper order. "As I see it, from the map the elves received, the different factions each represent one of the four elements; water, fire, earth, and air, with the elves representing holy light. All these elements, these factions are necessary to finish the puzzle. The Fae, Singarti, Wardens and mer must do the fighting, while the elves bring the holy water. I think the first thing we must do is find this Innawoods. We can go no further until we do this, and join together the blades and hilts. I propose we begin a search on the morrow, and bring with us the finished blades, anointed with holy water and ready to do for whatever purpose presents itself."
[17:09] Luna the Grovewalker (ThymeNoelle Resident) watched each person as they spoke and it might seem she was entranced by the way they spoke, how they moved. At any rate she was very intently focused. When it came time for her to speak again she nodded. "It is my belief that the four blades we have in our chest must be fashioned into weapons. And with the great hints about elements, and those involved in the riddles, I would wager that one weapon goes to each of the embodiments of those elements. One to the mer who represent the water. One to the singarti who represent the earth, one to the fae who represent air and one to the wardens who represent fire." She paused as she thought on the rest. "I know nothing about blessings and blessed pools but Innawoods to me would be the heart of the forest. So my question is, what is the heart of THAT forest? Is there an old tree? A glade? A cave? A hollow? Is there anything that could be considered the heart? And, how is it decided WHICH person of each element will wield the weapons?" She had spoken so quickly that she nearly mirrored what Emma said. She blinked and then nodded once and sat back again.
[17:19] Ephralia: Eph glances and Cheyenne, then clears her throat and volunteers, placing a hand over her ribs gingerly, as if there is a wound there, "Um, Lady Cheyenne and I ... have had some success . . . communing with Valeska."
[17:20] Cheyenne Frostwych glanced at Eph and nodded at her approvingly. "We have been successful yeah." she informed everyone round the table.
[17:21] Emmaline Anundr Aldin (emmaline.mynx) looks to the pair, expectantly, hopefully.
[17:22] Luna the Grovewalker (ThymeNoelle Resident) also looks to them though she seemed to be puzzling over something. Her brows furrowed and she worried her bottom lip with her teeth. She seemed distracted, deep in thought.
[17:23] Crystiel Thistlebush smiles as she looks around the table and speaks up once again, "well when it comes to the Forest, you only really have to ask us...we know it better then anyone....There is no single heart to it...as to what can be found...that may represent that....I planted the tree in the middle if the forest, or as close as I could...there is also the Stone circle...Innawoods is a place deep into the forest, at least thats what the rumor says....I have yet to find it...I was actully thinking it didnt exist...till I heard the Mer's riddle"
[17:24] Nixie (adalori) looked over to Ephralia as she asked her question and nodded. "Yes, one of them is female." returning her attention to the gathering and the words spoken by all her attention grabbed first by Emmaline's words. "Then these blades have been forged?" she would look between the two females in question. She nodded once again, to herself, as each point/question was spoken by Luna, listening to Crystiel speak and staying silent. Though, her attention was grabbed once more as Ephralia and Cheyenne spoke, head tilted and waiting for elaboration.
[17:26] Makkitotosimew (Kaija Arai) looked at her back and wondered how fae represented air. The both of them were wingless. Maybe it didn't literally mean air like that. She shrugged and grins at Kindo when she heard him, nodding her head, the rest of the conversation now totally lost on her. Especially once she spotted the necklace he wore. New shiny! She just stared at him awkwardly arm reaching for the pipe he was handing back, that look of longing in her eyes as she looked at the little claws on the strings. That is, until the Idani spoke again and that voice seemed to call to her. She wondered if she could catch it in a jar and carry it around with her. She kept darting her eyes between the Idani and the necklace, unsure of which to try to catch first because they were 'shiny' and she had to have shiny. Good thing she had nothing to share. She was like a chipmunk on crack.
[17:26] Gea'ndros stood, one hand on the back of the chair Nixie was sitting in, simply taking it all in as the information is given so freely. Mental notes, and a little turn of her head towards her elemental, before eyes fall on each speaker in turn.
[17:27] Elka Petrova (Adylin Resident) stayed silent mostly because it didn't seem like anyone was truly listening to anyone else and just saying the same information over and over. No need to throw more kindling on that fire. She crossed her arms and leaned back listening. If someone needed to know something for her, she'd speak then.
[17:30] Ephralia: Eph feels like she needs to say something more, so she explains matter-of-factly, "A female mage attacked last week, and there was a large shadeling with tentacles. I think the mage escaped. I got ... shade rot. Cheyenne and I found Valeska's shrine. We came away with blessed water. I've been treating my .. infection with that. It seems to me that an earnest enough prayer would yield what this Council wishes - a watery blessing for elemental weapons to face . . . . Well, that's where I am confused! Are these hooded guys Good? Or are they Bad? Are they causing the Blight, or fighting it? If they are fighting it, why the roundabout riddly stuff? Grr."
[17:30] Gales Hawkblood: I know of the rumors as well and if there is any truth to them than none should ever enter into Imawood alone. I have heard of dangers one can only imagine.
[17:31] Aurelia Lefevre (Guenevere Amaranth) kept quiet and simply listened, deep in thought, her mind in overdrive. She saw the woman in the black hooded robe and the tentacle that struck poor Ephralia, and remembered how she herself had just gotten out of the way. Did all these creatures in this Innawoods have such power? And why was Eph not yet healed? There were so many more questions than answers, but she knew to keep out of the forest.
[17:31] Merialeth Windstar (caireannliadan) glances over, head tilted as she peruses the other two elves, waiting to see what they had to say. The hilts, the blades, they needed a smith to bring them together, her brows furrowed in thought then dashing her eyes up and casting about "We need to get the components together, the where and what to go after is good to determine, but until the components are brought together and we have a weapon to fight either these figures, or whatever they are, it's all pointless. We need to find a smith, and have the pieces brought to the Keep where they can actually be utilized, put together, then bestow Her blessing and ..." Fading off as Ephralia spoke with a lift of her brows "I'm glad you found Her waters, but I'm sorry to hear that I hadn't known of it earlier - I could have helped..." Her brows drawn together again as she nods "Yes, that is what Her blessed waters are for, what we see our part is in this. To bless the blades."
[17:37] Emmaline Anundr Aldin (emmaline.mynx) stood once more. "I think we have heard all the information that everyone has discovered over the course of this cursed blight." She was horrified to learn that Eph was infected and wished she had known. But at least now, Meri could help her. "I move that we form a search party as soon as possible--tomorrow if possible, to find this Innawoods. I believe Elka should use the rest of the blood to find it. The sword pieces must be taken to the keep and a smith found to put them together. Finally, let us choose a place to meet to being the search for Innawoods." She turned to Eph and told her, "I am in as much a quandry as you are, Cousin, on these druids, but I believe we will soon find out their intent, by sword or other means."
[17:38] Luna the Grovewalker (ThymeNoelle Resident) listened of course but she had it. She knew what was bothering her. "I think Elka is correct. I think the druid blood is the "key" everyone has been looking for." She glances towards the woman and nods her head. "I was flying over the forest on my daily patrols, looking for something, anything. It had just rained and the sun was just starting to wake and peek over the tall mountains. I saw below me a great flying creature. I thought at first it was just a large bird or maybe a gryphon but as I got closer I saw that it was a wyvern." She pauses for dramatic effect. "Something was wrong with it. It shimmered and weaved as if it were sick. I followed it." She takes a breath. "I know a way into Innawoods, if my guess is correct." She didn't go into detail on exactly how she had been flying, though. "I think the druid's blood will open a way in from the ground." She nodded at Eph and Meri as they spoke. It was all coming together, she felt it in her gizzard. "I think everything every person has said is partly true."
[17:43] Crystiel Thistlebush looks around and nods to everyone, "I think the first thing we should concentrate on is putting the blades together...the Hilts from the singarti, and the blades themselves from the wardens.....I would consul against locating Innawoods before then...it is a very dangerous place...one that nobody should go into alone....we use the blood to track the way there....if we can...or be lead in by Luna, if that doent work....but only after the blades are repaired...and blessed.."
[17:45] Gea'ndros at the mention of blood her lips part, voice carrying easily enough to all ears in attendance "I also have blood from one of the hooded figures. It was taken when one was wounded on our shores. With the information given here.. Perhaps I will see what can be learned from it"
[17:50] Nixie (adalori) listened to each in turn but, of course, it was Luna who drew her gaze as she spoke of what she had seen. "Then it is simply a matter of forging the swords and blessing them? If you know where to begin the search?" She glanced back at Gea'ndros as she spoke, giving the female a small nod. "How do we go about forging these blades? Have the Warden opened their box yet?" turning to look at Luna.
[17:55] Elka Petrova (Adylin Resident) slowly pushed her chair back and stood since it seemed like everything had mostly been settled. Forge the blades, bless them, search for innawoods, use the blood to find it all, end the blight. Easy peasy, right? "The hilts are already at the blacksmith, they were given a few days ago." She turned towards those who represented the wardens and waited to hear whether or not they had done the same with the blades.
[17:56] Merialeth Windstar (caireannliadan) tipped her gaze towards Emma, the quietly-spoken "I'm going to head back to the Tower, if you need anything else from me, let me know - but until the blades are forged, we're at a standstill." Her eyes flicked out to the others, her usual soft smile on her lips "If anyone should have need of me, as rare as it might be, you all know where to find me..." nodding her head towards the Tower on the hill. "If I'm not about, ask Damien to send me a message." To the one that spoke at Nixie's side, Meri'd nod her head and add "Please do, and let us know what you discover, every little bit of information helps." ((Gotta bounce off PC, I'm about on tablet if someone wants me.))
[17:56] Ephralia: Eph eats more herbed fish and is content to absorb the Council's wisdom. She wonders about the blood connection. Honestly, a key made out of liquid . .. isn't going to be very stiff. It might go in a keyhole all right, but actually unlocking tumblers? No way.
[17:57] Makkitotosimew (Kaija Arai) heard Meri say she was going back to the tower and her attention was pulled from the two shinies that had distracted her. The magical elf had a pooka following her like a lost puppy again as she scampered out of her chair, having nothing to offer the whole time, and darting up the hill behind Meri.
[18:00] Emmaline Anundr Aldin (emmaline.mynx) nodded to Meri, saying, "Be well, Cousin," before she turned to the rest of the table. "If there is nothing more to be added, we will adjourn the meeting. The Wardens must see to getting their part of the swords to the smith. We all know what we must do, now let's perform the doing of it, and be prepared to set out for the search of Innawoods the day after tomorrow. Is everyone in agreement?"
[18:01] Makkitotosimew (Kaija Arai) missed Meri and decided to linger around Elka and the one with the necklace
[18:01] Luna the Grovewalker (ThymeNoelle Resident) nods her head. "Inside our chest are four blades. I assume the blades to be forged with their hilts. I will bring them to the smith as soon as this meeting is adjourned." To Eph she says with a slight tint of amusement in her tone, "I do not think the blood as an actual key is what I was thinking. More like.... a spell to show the way. To open a door, to move aside a stone, to unwind the roots of a tree. Who is to say?" She rises and takes up her bow again.
[18:04] Aurelia Lefevre (Guenevere Amaranth) feels a bit like she's been eavesdropping again, but she hasn't, really! She nods her head politely at all who pass by, trying to absorb all that has happened to the Isle. She holds the hors d'oeuvre in her hand delicately, deciding that she should not eat it after all, just in case poor Eph is not quite better,
[18:05] Crystiel Thistlebush smiles and nods to evereyone, everything she had to say was already said and goes back to her journal and writes down her notes, on the plans....everything was in order and everyone knew what they were gonna do...what what needs to be done.
[18:05] Ephralia: "I shall be at your side, my Tari." Eph murmurs.
[18:07] Gales Hawkblood nods politely and bids a good evening to all present
[18:07] Nixie (adalori) nodded at information gathered and the time set, she herself would stay seated. The texture of that chair was different and interesting, slightly firm yet slightly soft.... The Siren settled back, watching as everyone began rising to leave, she had something she wished to ask Emmaline in either case. A hand reached out to run along Gea'ndros' side, appreciation for the gathering that many moons ago.
[18:08] Emmaline Anundr Aldin (emmaline.mynx) smiled and gave Ephralia a nod of thanks. "I appreciate that, Ephralia. I am counting on it." The meeting had gone well. The Blight was coming to an end, surely. Soon...soon.
