Head Physician - any profits not needed for the Infirmary or Apothecary upkeep and staff
The Head Physician is responsible for the running of the Infirmary in Valesk. They direct the day-to-day workings of the guild and it's staff. The Head Physician also has the responsibility of hiring people as either Students or Initiates, and assigning them into a position they are fit for in the infirmary as they prove their knowledge and skill. The Head Physician must have an excellent knowledge of healing in many areas of the art to hold this position. Skills in surgery, nursing, field medicine, midwifery, and disease control are only a few examples of what the Head Physician must know.
Infirmary Elder - 1 silver/day + ability to purchase supplies for Infirmary or Apothecary
The Infirmary Elders are those just below the Head Physician, who have exemplary knowledge in the fine art of healing. They also share skills in surgery, nursing, field medicine, midwifery, and disease control. Elders serve as council and oversee operations when the Head Physician is absent, and help with the day to day running of the Infirmary. Elders are responsible for doling out tasks to those below them, and making sure they finish them correctly.
Chirurgeon - 75 copper/day + ability to request specific supplies
The Chirurgeons are the surgeons of the infirmary. They specialize in the inner working of the body. Chirurgeons are those that can heal deep injuries as well as sicknesses deep in the organs. The Chirurgeons must be able to piece a body back together should the need arise, their knowledge of the body is above all else.
To obtain this position, one must complete two autopsies and several recorded surgery assists as well as one recorded surgery done themselves.
Battle Healer - 75 copper/day + ability to request specific supplies
The Battle Healers, or Field Medics, are skilled in healing while in the crossfire of battle. These healers have expertise in healing during war, natural disaster, and emergency. They are fast and precise under pressure, and have an excellent knowledge of basic first aid as well as simple herbal healing.
To obtain this position, one must complete several recorded emergency or combat healing sessions.
Magicae Healer - 75 copper/day + ability to request specific supplies
The Magicae Healers, or Magi, are the magical healers of the infirmary. They have a deep and knowledgeable past in magic. With this knowledge, they have learned to heal the body's ailments carefully with their talents. The Magi, though skilled, have to be aware of the stress that magical healing takes on the body. Healing through magical means drains the body of the Magi. Please refer to the Healers' Law regarding magical healing.
To obtain this position, one must complete several recorded magical healing sessions within or for the Infirmary.
Herbal Healer - 75 silver/day + ability to request specific supplies
Those that heal with herbal medicines. Responsible for making tinctures and tonics, as well as poultices and salves for the infirmary to use. Herbal Healers have an extensive knowledge of herbs, plants, flowers, and anything in nature that may be used to help heal the body. They have excellent knowledge of which plants are toxic, and how to cure poisons. May be assigned to work within or oversee the Apothecary conjoined with the Infirmary.
To obtain this position, one must complete several recorded herbal healing sessions within or for the Infirmary.
Infirmary Initiate - 50 copper/day
The Initiates have proven their knowledge and understanding of healing. They will remain an Initiate until they have proven their talent and skill as well.
To obtain this position, one must complete a test relevant to their area of healing as well as one recorded count of assisting in a healing session.
Infirmary Student- 25 copper/day
These are the students of healing. This is the starting position for most healers and while one is a student, they can explore which path they wish to follow as they grow in the infirmary. Healing is an art, and as such, it takes time to master. Students must master the path they wish to follow before they can take position in the infirmary.
