[21:12] Belaern waltzes on into the tower he saw, he has been casing places.. there i said it.. and he figured this place had something good in it, so in he walks

[21:14] Merialeth Windstar was talking quietly to Damien, the blond male flicking a glance back towards the entrance as the male enters, his words trailing off and the soft mutter of "Oh not again..." before he'd glance at Meri and move for the back room. Meri'd lift her attention from the page she was discussing with Damien only to catch sight of the man that entered. A dip of her head politely and the musical tones as she murmured a "Good evening and welcome to the Auguriis, what can I help you with this evening?"


[21:18] Belaern starts looking around the place "interesting place here" he walks to shelves and picks things up to look at them, setting them down, sometimes sizing them up to his pockets as he does so "what sort of stuff you got here then? anything good to me, cost much? aint got alot of coin, but i am good at getting things done.. need something done, can do it that way" he notes Damien's discomfort "whats wrong with him?"


[21:22] Merialeth Windstar watches as he makes his way around the shop, the wards likely tingling on his senses as Meri just watches bemused. "Why thank you - I rather like it here... Well, it's a Magical shop, so... spell scrolls, alchemical potions, all sorts of things for one familiar with the Art... Were you looking for something in particular, or just browsing this evening... " Damien meanwhile had continued out the back door, Meri's soft chuckle though perhaps a hint of strain traced through it "Just a long night. Depends what you might be in need of, as far as what would be 'of interest'... though if you're a caster or enchanter, sometimes I do take trades for equipment."


[21:26] Belaern turns around and heads to the counter "yeah, i cast, and enchant, im not the best enchanter, but I give it a go.. average, you know?" [journeyman] he looks over Damien some "spells huh, yeah, got a few tricks up my sleeve. heard of one once, uses blood, fixes people right up, leaves them in a shitty state after, but they wont go bleedin' out on ya, rekkon i might have a use for something like that, already know how to play with blood some"


[21:31] Merialeth Windstar just nods quietly, a tilt of her head as she watches him, taking in his demeanour and responses. "Yes, actually - that is one I'm aware of... it's called Fleshmelding ..." She'd move towards the far side of the counter to the small scrollcase, the soft descant on her breath as she played her fingertips over the scrolls, waiting til one lit up to pull it towards her. The Song fading and her hands pulling it open to peruse it briefly before making her way back to the closer edge "This one would be a silver piece. It will take you some time and practice to learn it, but yes I agree the benefits can be worth it."


[21:37] Belaern goes wide eyed when he hears the price, he's not made of money, he does carry some around from before he arrived in Valesk, fortunately that wasn't so long ago, he hadn't had time to go wasting it all yet, he fishes around his pockets looking for where he put coin, he has a few pockets "for future, any way i can bring down ya prices, y'know, case we trade more? cuz i aint rich y'know" he might pilfer from Rianoc from time to time, people seem to like her more, she finds acquiring money an easier task.. if its not stollen that is, he drops a coin on the counter "happy, its me last one.. running on a few copper now"


[21:41] Merialeth Windstar tipped her head, the soft though polite chuckle as she murmured in reply "Not all of them are as expensive, you just happened to ask for one that was... It depends on the complexity of the spell." She'd place down the scroll within his reach and take up the coin with a dip of her head and faint smile "It could have been far worse, but the amount you'll save in the long run will be well worth it. I'm Meri, a pleasure doing business with you ...?" Her voice trailing off as it asking for his name.


[21:44] "Belaern" he replies as he picks the scroll up and tucks it away "so, do you ask for these things back when im done with it, or maybe i can sell it back.. hows it all work? its worthless to me once i know it" he shrugs and turns for the door "anywhoo if ya even need stuff done, and dont want ya name attached to it.. well.. maybe that can help me pay for shit.. " ~ maybe its his language is why he finds coin hard to come across


[21:47] Merialeth Windstar blinked a bit at his candour, certainly not quite the response Meri'd expected, "Belaern..." She'd nod repeating his name then shook her head briefly "I'm not really the sort to push things off on other people, my tasks are my own, though thank you for the offer... And no, you can keep the scroll, since it's keyed to you, it will be worthless to anyone else, so attempting to sell it would do no good to anyone." Another slight pause then "I will keep your offer in mind however. Good evening and safe travels to you Belaern..."


[21:49] Belaern nods and waves as he then heads to the door, he has much to do yet, he can be rather busy.. or totally lazy, from one extreme to the next

[22:22] Belaern chuckles some as he nuzzles into her "body collection, another of my tasks.. i dont know, i'd say leave them in a bad way, and if they were meant to die, well, i just handle that personally" he reaches over to take her other hand, however notices a small wound on it, he looks at her.. "how'd this come about?"

[22:25] Rianoc (Cathartic Resident) pouts, "Well if you get a decent one lug it up here...or at least get a bit of the blood. I could use it." She was antsy as it had been wanting to try a new way to improve her magic. She lets him take her arm and winces, "It was a knife wound from the woman who took my vial of blood today. It isn't too deep, but it hurts."

[22:29] Belaern looks over the wound and plays with it some to aggrivate it "sorry" he says quietly as he starts to get some blood from it, he wipes a finger along it and then licks the blood from his finger, then takes the finger to smear her blood some "been reading my scroll.. .. " is all he says as he begins to call upon his magic playing with her blood on his finger

[22:31] Rianoc (Cathartic Resident) watches him, her body a bit jittery as the blood swirls under the pad of his finger. She wants to lick it off too, and he mouth parts, but she stays quiet. Whe he mentions that he has been reading his scroll she just nods, "Mhmm, that is good. Have to learn all we can." Mesmerized.

[22:33] Belaern focuses on what he is doing, he would start to try and pull upon the blood in her veins, though it wouldn't be incredibly noticed, as he has never done this before, chances are he's not achieving anything at all.. "maybe i should let you know.. if done right, this can be rather painful"

[22:35] Rianoc (Cathartic Resident) looks up from watching his finger, and her look is one of hurt, "You would attempt to mar me?" She does not move her arm, but she simply holds herself still and turns her head away from him. She is dissapointed.

[22:37] Belaern raises a brow as he things he has ahold of the blood in her wound "i recall last night, someone trying to seal my magic away, just after i finished meditating, do you remember that?" yes, he is teasing her, but also.. well.. he was her guinea pig

[22:38] Rianoc (Cathartic Resident) she snaps at him, "It would have lasted a day! This could be permanent." Her tone was sharp, but her face remained rather neutral, "Well, I suppose we do what we must." She looks back to watch him work, "I feel...something, but it doesn't hurt."

[22:41] Belaern had done what he thought were the required steps in preparing the spell, he then begins to pull his hand back and a small droplet of blood flows from the wound as if of its own volition however the spell breaks and the droplet falls to the floor "damn.. " he mutters in dissapointment to himself , he then looks to her trying to catch her eyes "sorry" he says softly

[22:44] Rianoc (Cathartic Resident) she leans over and wipes the droplets up with her middle and pointer finger, and then draws a heart on the inside of her wrist with it, "It is alright," She looks up at him, her eyes soft, "We do what we have to." She leans against him, and closes her eyes. Soon he can hear her breath become deeper as she beings to sleep.

[23:47] Miryam (rejectreality Resident) thought to herself that the surface people might not be the only ones who wouldn't mind sticking him with a blade, although she knew it was against the Haven rules. She leaned a bit when the crow landed on her shoulder, but only gave it a stern look and flew up to join him, her glamor wavering so that her wings became evident until she landed next to him. She sits down next to him and gives him a measured look. "What have you been doing that makes people want to kill you?"

[23:49] Belaern just chuckles "been doing what I do.. well, normally i only do it when there is coin involved.. but.. you know.. gotta get my name out there first" he looks to his wound "occupational hazard.. this is gonna suck" he then runs his nail along the wound, it was healing, but.. he pulls it back open some with a hiss, and plays with it some, he holds a bloody finger out to Miryam, "want some, they say its like wine.."

[23:52] Miryam (rejectreality Resident) raised a brow when he offered her his blood, leaning to the side. "No thanks, I'm not a blood sucker," she said wryly before looking down at his wound. "You know, getting your name out there is one thing, but not worth much if you wind up dead doing it." She looked at him a bit more closely and added, "Unless that's your goal? Immortality through reputation?"

[23:57] Belaern shrugs and dips his fingers in the wound some "if i want immortality, i want to be there to enjoy it.. another quest for another time.. " he uses the blood on his fingers to draw a circle around his wound, and another circle around that one, he dips his fingers in again, hissing with pain "so, you and the captain, you know her?. you part of.. this?" he motions around the undercity with his bloody finger as he says 'this' hoping she'd catch on, he'd then take his bloody fingers and start drawing glyphs and runes in the space between the two circles

[23:59] Miryam (rejectreality Resident) smirked when he commented about enjoying his own immortality and watched as he began to draw glyphs upon his skin. She nodded her head slightly and said, "Yes. It is certainly better than there," as she pointed up towards the surface. She then smiled again and said, "Although I think I prefer doing things a bit more covertly than you."

[00:03] Belaern shrugs again, "trust me, if i wanted covert, you'd never know i was there, you've seen it.. well.. you haven't.. and thats the point" he holds his hands on the edges of the bloody circles he has drawn on his stomach and the circles, glyphs and runes begin to glow "i mean.. the Overlady.. you workin for her? like.. most of us down here?"

[00:06] Miryam (rejectreality Resident) gave him a pained look, as though she thought she had been perfectly obvious, and said, "Yes, of course," still watching him as he prepared to cast a spell. "Well, maybe you should consider being a bit more covert. It might mean having fewer people wanting to kill you." She smiled at him then, actually relaxing a bit as she sat there.

[00:12] Belaern moves his hands along the glowing circles and they start to turn as though through spinning themlike plates the magic would activate "shut up a sec" he says rudely, however the look on his face is of great pain

[00:44] Miryam (rejectreality Resident) snorted softly, but didn't say anything further. She understood what it took to cast a spell, and that it could be even more difficult when in pain.

[00:48] Belaern groans some and makes a few pained strain noises as his spell is cast, from the wound blood would burst forth, as he looks down at the spell it seems to break and the blood falls to the ground "fuck" he shakes his head "failed again, i'll get it though"

[00:51] Miryam (rejectreality Resident) quickly pulls her voluminous black skirts away from him as blood cam spewing from the wound, having no desire to mess up her dress. She gave him a severe look and asked, "Just what were you trying to do? Target practice?" She rearranged herself and settled back next to him. "Perhaps a bandage would be a better choice," she suggested helpfully.

[15:46] Elka Petrova (Adylin Resident) looked from her missing finger to him and raised a brow, "Learning?" She knew the spell, but perhaps the show of good faith might make this whole process easier. Of course the pain of the severed finger would be nothing compared to what was to come with the spell if he could actually perform it. With a huff she finally offered, "Fine. Get on with it then." and held her hand out to him, "For the record, if you do not disappoint and do not double cross you will be rewarded and there will be more jobs where this one came from. However, while I am just an emissary for the one who asks this of you, if you do mess this up...payment will be the least of your worries."


[15:52] Belaern takes his finger and draws a circle in the mid air as he is given permission to perform the spell, he then draws another circle around it, he's been playing with different ways to cast "stick ya stump in the middle of that lot" he instructs "so, if i'm to brag about taking someone's finger, you gonna tell me who's finger i took? afterall, could be anyones"


[15:54] Elka Petrova (Adylin Resident) pursed her lips and stood back up and does what he asks. Her eyes focus on his face with a frown, "That's just it, it could be anyone's, but you're going to lie and tell them it's the Alphas." She gave him a pointed look, "Just be sure you're convincing and that this isn't all for nothing."


[15:56] Belaern shrugs "time will tell, if i can avoid using the finger at all, i will, but i figure i'll get me some kind of audience, as for the mer, well, fuck, i dont know there" he then starts drawing runes and glyphs in the space between the two magical circles he had drawn, all appearing as glowies in the air, cuz magic


[15:59] Elka Petrova (Adylin Resident) braced herself for what was to come, biting her bottom lip hard between her teeth and her body tensing. Concentrating on their conversation was the last thing she intended to do at the moment. Her eyes followed his movements as he cast the spell.


[16:02] Belaern looks over his spell a moment and then to Elka "this is the fun part.. brace yaself" he spreads his fingers and would put his fingertips on the outer circle of his spell, and would turn it, the whole thing would begin to spin around her finger, and the magic within it would burst from it like lightning, but its magic, and connect towhats left of her fingertip using both the magic and her blood to try and repair the damage done

[16:08] Elka Petrova (Adylin Resident) clutched her skirt with her free hand tightly as if she could mitigate the pain to her dress instead. Instead of course, she cried out as it began to grow, her teeth clenching hard. The feeling much unlike anything she had felt in some time, but it didn't feel like the finger was knitting itself back together.


[16:10] Belaern would watch as his spell did its work, however, after a moment for some reason the magical circles faded away "fuck it" Belaern curses as his spell fails again "well.. it came alot closer than it has before.. so.. there's that" he pulls the fingertip from his pocket "maybe glue?" however he pockets the finger again, in someways glad the spell failed, payback for a knife to the belly "well, best take my leave.. but just to make sure, see the Tari, find out who the mer is.. and come back, yes?"

[18:31] Belaern walks into his home, and looks around, nobody here, though he shrugs, figured he needed a quiet moment anyway, he sits on the floor figuring the quiet would help him work on his fleshmelding magic. as he sits he takes the dagger from his leg and looks over it,he takes a few quick breaths to prepare himself, then plunges the blade into his stomach, letting out a loud cry in pain as he does


[18:34] Belaern looks down at what he had done to himself, partly amazed at himself that he actually did it, he begins to pull the blade from his flesh, taking a moment to look over it again, though remaining still, not wanting his practice to result in him bleeding to death. He runs a finger along his wound collecting blood with it, then draws a circle around the wound, and another, larger circle around that one


[18:38] Belaern then takes more of his blood from his blade and begins drawing runes and glyphs between the two rings on his stomach, stopping every once in a while to refocus himself, to try and push the pain from his mind as he does so, silently cursing himself for not making sure he had someone to keep an eye on him, but atleast if it goes wrong, he can die in the comfort of home


[18:42] Belaern places his hands either side of the magic circles he had drawn on his stomach, soon they begin to glow, and slowly he turns his hands, and the circles begin to spin, he looks down and soon he lets out a mighty yell of agony as blood bursts forth from the wound and seems to moves through the flesh like a needle and thread through fabric The pain only gets worse as he continues to turn the circles and the bloody thread pulls the flesh back together until eventually the wound seals over


[18:43] Belaern drops to the floor, laying on his side, exhausted and feeling weak, he makes note not to cast that on himself unless he really, really needs it.. he lays there a moment, gathering himself, he seemed to get it this time, hopefully, he'll continue to get it.
