Phase 1/power enchantment (12/11/15)
[11:15] Iesteth Windsong (gaiadarkmoor) had salvaged all the reagents she needs. The first part would be creating the elixir basis for the ink. She looks at the three bowls before her: dried scarabs, a lion's teeth and potassium. She uses a mortar to crushes each of them down, not really needing them to be fine, except for the potassium which demands more effort.
[11:22] Iesteth Windsong (gaiadarkmoor) fills a small pot with purified water and drops all the things she crushed down. She adds just one small morsel of an unicorn's horn, a rather uncommon reagent. then she place the pot over a small fire.
[11:26] Iesteth Windsong (gaiadarkmoor) let the water warm up and boil, so the potency would be drawn from the reagents; all symbols of strength and power. She places her hands on each side of the pot and starts singing in an old elven tongue with a soft low voice, her hands starts glowing and the glow migrate slowly to surround the whole pot, making sure the reagents essences mix properly, channeling them out.
[11:29] Iesteth Windsong (gaiadarkmoor) would have to separate the essence from the used mix now. She empties the bowl into a copper still and place it over a stronger fire. She would just have to wait until the heat separate the two matters.
[11:35] Iesteth Windsong (gaiadarkmoor) awaits fro some time until the whole essence evaporated and falled back into another small bencher. She catches it carefully looking at her base with a lot of pride. She returns to her book, studying the recipe and her side notes while she let the essence cool down.
[11:39] Iesteth Windsong (gaiadarkmoor) search into the shelves for the other precious reagent she's using, some aquamarine powder. Not as precious as a true gem but still potent and useful to make inks. She places it in a small bowl, and the extracted essence aside. One hand she place on the essence and she starts singing again, a slow, powerful, enspelled song, invoking the power of an ancient god beast. The liquid essence starts glowing with a green hue and takes a vaporate aspect.
[11:44] Iesteth Windsong (gaiadarkmoor) focus her efforts on the channeling now, mixing her own mana with the essences of strength, slowly, carefully leading them on the gem's powder. The glowing vapor slowly moves, feeling like a phantom gliding over the table, always willing to escape and only limited by her effort of will. Her song grow deeper, stronger as she puts much effort into her task.
[11:49] Iesteth Windsong (gaiadarkmoor) keeps winging and working, forcing the essence to rest on the powder, binding them together with a strong word of power. With a finger she traces a circle on the bowl border, capturing the essence into it. Now she could focus on another effort of will to imbue the gem's powder with the power she extracted. Her tone change, as well as the lithany but she keeps singing, slowly reducing the glow or rather making it enter the powder.
[11:55] Iesteth Windsong (gaiadarkmoor) is almost done. She feels the power impregnate the powder, the enchantment almost done. With one last word of power she closes it, trapping the essence forever. She only do a simple bind, for the last bind would be done with the tatoo work.
[11:59] Iesteth Windsong (gaiadarkmoor) takes a rest. Most of the enchantment done.. but still not ready for a tatoo. She would need to make an ink. But it's a long process. So she gather the other reagents: octopus ink for a basis, silver's crystals for stabilization, and purified water. She places them all into a pot and over a small fire. There she would let it rest for a full day.
Phase 2 : preparing the ink. (13/11/15)
[10:21] Iesteth Windsong (gaiadarkmoor) returns to her work, checking the purity of the ink base. It seems right so she takes it away from the alembic and into a pot, over a rather strong fire. Not forgetting the customer wanted something brown she adds some iron crystals to it, letting it melt before she adds the imbued gem powder she prepared the day before.
[10:26] Iesteth Windsong (gaiadarkmoor) while the three reagents melt together she have to lock the enchantment; so it won't loses it's power until the tatoo is made. She takes a big breathes and places her hands aside the pot, not touching, and starts an elven song, trapping the magic and slowly putting it on stasis. It's a rather difficult task, for she mustn't lock it too soon or it won't mix well with the ink base. Her senses stay focused on the magic swirling into the pot, trapping in down with careful words of power.
[10:28] Iesteth Windsong (gaiadarkmoor) she keeps working for a long time, having to wait until all the crystals are melted perfectly and the imbued gems fixed right into the ink. With one last word of power she decree the complete stasis and sighs in relief, most of her energies having been taxed by the task.
[10:31] Iesteth Windsong (gaiadarkmoor) takes a few seconds to rest. But she was too anxious to wait for long and she check her mixture, making sure the purity is respected, making sure the magic is working as intended. She already done that but... she's way too perfectionist to take any risk. With a smile to herself she empties the pot into a glass flask, the ink lightly glowing into it.
[10:34] Iesteth Windsong (gaiadarkmoor) is almost done. She gets a cap and push it into the flask. Quickly she catches a candle and uses it wax to seal the cap down, making sure her work is well protected. Finaly, with a small word of power she traces a glyph on the cap, making sure the magic stay trapped until used. Now she's done. The ink ready for her customer uses. She would deliver it soon she hopes.
