As many are unfamiliar with the aspects and what exactly a 'storyweaver' is, Storyweaving Staff has decided to create this post to better aid the playerbase in understanding what exactly they do.
Storyweavers, storytellers, dungeon masters, whatever you wish to call them, are those who create and shape the world of Valesk by creating sim wide plotlines, events and act as various NPCs to flourish scenes or create background ambience. They can make calls on in character happenings, such as performing a certain spell to gather information or researching a certain type of monster. They are the reality and the life of the sim, promoting that in-character actions may have in-character consequences.
Stating that, going into a some Storyweaver-run events there may or may not be a chance of in-character death. Storyweavers will place a disclaimer in their events if a chance of in-character death is possible and may occur. This is to not scare the playerbase, but know that it is a possibility if their character does not act accordingly. For example, running towards a dragon with no armor and no weapon would not bode well for your character most likely.
They are not here to destroy characters or reek endless havoc, they are here to create and make wondrous story, acting as impartial judges in various matters when need be. It is also important to state that one of the rules of the Storyweaving Staff is that they cannot be apart of plots that directly affect their character or their character's are involved with to ensure that metagaming is impossible.
So if you are ever confused or concerned or want your character to investigate something in character, alert the Storyweaving Staff. They can aid you with that.
