Having spent the majority of the evening in long discussion, once again I was recommended to come here and add a postscript to my previous thread. This modest proposal should be amended to my "Look, I'll have your leg. Right! (On Fighting Styles)" post, as it was moved - appropriately - to the Resolved Section faster than I could make this reply.
************
When considering the enchantment that Knife (and Tief) have already been approved for, we came to the realization that it would make an excellent and solidly based Fighting Style - simply flip it from enchant to a style. Thus we propose a new:
Blademaster - by understanding the physics of combat, how swords and polearms work and your knowledge of the strengths and weaknesses of weapon and armor types you are allowed to make a more effective strike.
Mechanics - Your weapon does damage a single class higher than its type, at a cost of -1 Strength. (For example, your sword, which is a medium weapon, would have the impact of a large weapon and do 3 points of damage)
It's a simple mechanic, well founded in melee physics, and provides a simple bonus at a simple cost. Perhaps a better name might be "weaponsmaster".
There we go - submitted for your consideration! If it goes through, a certain Tiefling has also been volunteered to help teach it to folks.

I think for the fighting styles, instead of paying to use the style, we require players to meet certain trait requirements before they're able to learn it, some combination of fighting, reflexes, strength or resolve.
That being said, I don't think this is a bad idea.
I'd suggest, idk, 9 fighting, 6 reflexes or something for this one. That one extra damage goes a long way. Also time to learn the skill, obv. Humans also have like, weaponmaster and armor master. We'll need to figure out new names for this to prevent confusion, or rename the human stuff.
Maybe name it, DIVINE SWORD OF THE NORTH STAR or something.

That's up to the admin For tonight's discussion's sake we were simply using a pre-approved model as a starting point - where it goes, if it goes, we shall wait patiently and see. (and someone's been watching more anime than me!)
