Resolve 5to6: Night of Reverie EventCynric and Asi attend a party out in the Wayward woods, and very quickly does everything erupted into chaos. While Cynric's initial impulse was to flee along with half the party-goers, he resolved himself to remain to see if anyone would need aid and to ultimately discover what was happening. Even after he falls unconscious, his summoned element, still acting on his will, ensures the other party goers are alright. [2015/07/24 17:16:56] Valesk: /me StoryWeaver | A loud screech echos through the grove, coming from the location of one of the trees near the distellery. For anyone with good enough vision, they'd see one of the fleeing birds shredded, blood exploding outward from a black mist. The flesh was completely stripped from the bones and the mist expanded. No, it wasn't just a single entity- it was a hoard of will-o-wisps. Twenty or so, although it was hard to make out. But they were wrong.. All wrong. Darkness came from them instead of a welcoming light, the smell of rotting flesh surrounding each one. After they had devoured their first target, the bloodied bones were thrown towards the party and they spread out, trying to choose their first victim. [2015/07/24 17:18:57] Erthur Throkreak: /me glanced around, his head darted as well as he could as a shriek was heard, his eye not really affected by darkness with his dark vision, he staggered back a bit, "Bloody fockin 'ell," he'd sheathe the dagger back reaching back for something before he grabbed it tugging on it to draw his axe, it felt right...yet he didn't really recall ever holding it before, damn memory loss, "Stay behind me ma love!" he'd say to Reanna. [2015/07/24 17:19:03] /me Jamison Blackwater reached up and touched his cheek as he felt something wet touch it. Something... rain? No... blood? Ink? Paint? Alcohol? He couldn't quite put his finger on it. But even as his mind struggled to focus on what was going on, his body instinctively began to move to protect himself. He folded his arms over his chest, his eyes instinctively flicking across the... lightballs? Lightning bolts? Either way, they caused the hair on his arms to rise. Should probably stay away, if he could remember where their positions were. Good luck with that. [2015/07/24 17:20:29] /me Asi was stuck, only two eyes and so much to see. A bird right in front of him practically begging to be touched and pet at while he tried to keep a watch on the admittedly unwell Cynric. "You got to close to that diseased man after all," he replies forlornly. As forlorn as one could be, anyway, while trying to collect a bird from off a table and making a shuffle for a different seat. Slow shuffle, as now he had to try collecting Cynric too with other birds exploding and some odd scent ruining the atmosphere. "That was an unusual thing for a bird to do," he states, like nobody else would know that. "And your disease has manifested in horns, Cynric. I am fairly certain this is not sentient standard." [2015/07/24 17:21:52] Crystiel Thistlebush: /me backs up further against the tree watching the horror as one of the birds gets torrn appart by...whatever it was, she must do something..she tries to bring up a sheild of magic over her body....but the words are still wrong....shes useless here......but others might be hurt..she has to stay close, but out of the way..for now. [2015/07/24 17:21:58] ~Vala~: /me was quite content to be held tightly in the arms of her new raison d'etre, the fae-touch causing her to be rather over the moon for him at this moment... but despite the pull of her heart and ... loins... toward the magnificent Naga, and despite the bugs that she continued to try to rub off, she'd note the shadows about her, gasping softly as she did. "Shadows... shadows move", she'd whisper softly to the naga, whose name she didn't know, before she'd nod, sharing his opinion that this couldn't be good. The fangs were noted, and she'd marvel at them, because, silly girl was silly. Upon spotting the will-o-whisps, Vala shrieked in terror, and she'd cling harder to the naga, fully aware that she was no fighter. Quick, sure. Strong, no dice. [2015/07/24 17:23:30] /me Sibylla Rewah continued her casting. her fake hand moving to the palm of her good one ad carving a little rune into the palm, blood dripping out around her hand. she spoke in an older form of mermish, probably gibberish to anyone around her. she looked around, spotting the poor bird that had been blown the heck up by those little wisps. well crap. ok. she hated conflict but she was a bit SOL and had to protect her daughter. after her, her guards were /actually/ useless. so she let the guard holding Adria back to the stone wall and stood in front of him, her words never ceasing, though they were whispered. slowly, a thin tendril of blood began to pour from her palm and flick itself around Syb's good arm. Syb was carefully watching everything, everyone, but mostly those little buggers that were killing birdies. [2015/07/24 17:24:26] /me Cynric was not at all quite sure what he had seen, there was a commotion, a darkness, a hint of red warmth of a mist fading into the darkness. His nose wrinkled up as an advancing scent of rotting flesh invaded his senses. He shook his head a bit- feeling a bit dizzy and uncertain especially after the recent digging pain to his frontal lobe. "I think I am hallusinating, this.. things.. nothing seems right. We have surely made a mistake in coming." He would reach out to grab at Asi as the man shuffled passed, climbing back to his full height. "You saw it to then.. That is worrisome." At the mention of the horns he would reach to his head and do a sort of shocked 'omg' sort of look, before refocusing off into the coming danger, now appearing quite a bit alert and not within any mood to 'party'. [2015/07/24 17:24:58] Reanna Sèitheach (reanna.lockjaw): /me moved to yank that skirt up and pulled the dagger from her thigh. She was cursing herself for not coming better equipped.. but it was a fancy party! No place for a cutlass.. or a bow. That growl only got louder as the wisps formed and mutilated the bird, eyes narrowed, still that eerie glow even in the dark as the wolf within faught to claw her way out. It was a struggle to keep her contained. She looked down at the dwarf, and was about to speak.. when she puked.. not bile.. no.. but glistening coins of copper/ 50 copper to be exact! She'd just.. stare as she watched them ping off his armor. [2015/07/24 17:25:38] /me Padishar looks to the blackness and the screech and... with reasonably good vision saw unpleasant things happen to the bird. He wrapped arms around Meri protectively and started whispering a spell to her, partly under his breath, but one might recognize it as a Translocation spell. (Post 1/2 for Spatial Step) [2015/07/24 17:27:30] Merialeth Windstar (caireannliadan): /me looked to Padi, panicked, her lips moving as she whispered the words after him to the spell, gripping on tightly to his arm, her words slow but her concentration buoyed by his help as she stared into his eyes and held on, her head dipping softly and the harsh rustling about them as she just held on and followed each of his chants word for word. (Spatial Step one of two) [2015/07/24 17:28:18] /me Shy [JSW] An eerie hush accompanies the shadeling arrival, and it makes the liquidly guttural noise from the spastically mobile shadeling prominent. The center of the dark misty shadeling hovers near Crystiel, its shadow wrapping a clammy chill around the small Fae The tendrils of cold extend to invade Viveka's personal space as well. The watery groaning is almost deafening, tentacles of mist reaching out grab a crow nearby. The bird is sucked into the center of darkness and flung out as a pulp of bloody meat and feathers, the bones completely removed and thrown in the opposite direction. [2015/07/24 17:29:08] Mathis Casthal (incabulos): /me watches the scene and horror unfold before him, the horror that his extravagant gala is now ‘ruined’. This in turn brings a rise to anger, an anger that manifests it’s self in the furrowing of his brows and drawing of the bronze sword that hung from hip. “Pouncing parrying turtles!” He exclaimed rather insultingly to the wisps, who /dared/ interrupt his revels. The satyr bit hard into the pipe and maneuvered it off to the side of his mouth, as that stern scowl seemed to deepen and crease upon his face. Only to hear movement behind him, and witness his brother’s less than gracious fall. Solid posture and stern movements saw him in a defensible position over his kin’s form. All while the darkened scene of carnage unfolds. [2015/07/24 17:30:30] /me Erthur Throkreak rolls R6 (CC:b81e): 7, axe you a question? [2015/07/24 17:31:23] /me Bu'zyasti'in 's single eye snapped wide open and he whipped around like a shot, likely scattering a table and chairs in the process of turning his attention towards the sound of the screech, and probably swinging poor Vala around like a rag doll. Well, shit. The huge serpent had absolutely no idea what he was looking at, but he was pretty convinced that they were out to get him as well...a conviction further reinforced by the fact that they stripped a bird in moments flat. As he spent time contemplating what the hell he was supposed to do against whatever those things were, he attempted to shift Vala more completely over to his back to free up his arms...just in case. "Jest 'old on lass, th'..." Rather abruptly, he trailed off and just kinda stared at Rea as she suddenly spewed out a collection of coin...welp, that happened. It took a good few moments, but eventually he regained the presence of mind necessary to cast, once he finally saw a target he felt he could cast /at/ in the form of aforementioned sh [2015/07/24 17:31:23] /me Bu'zyasti'in: incantation began to spill from him in the form of a slightly haunting, almost beautiful melody as he pulled in his magic around him, grimacing all the while. Oh yes, he fully intended to start shooting off drunken fireballs in every direction. (Flame Bolt 1/2) [2015/07/24 17:31:24] /me Viveka knew she was a sitting duck too. She couldn't cast anything that could be remotely helpful and she didn't have a lick of combat skills to her. She was only an entertainer! When it seemed as though whatever was going on was coming into her space, she swung her apparently not so precious instrument at anything that came too near to her, not even aiming to actually hit but more to give her a moment to scamper away and farther up on some rocks and hopefully out of it's reach. This is the /last/ fae party she ever comes to! [2015/07/24 17:33:39] /me Jamison Blackwater continued to watch the beings curiously, swaying lightly on his seat as he absently flicked another bug away. Why were they attacking? He felt as if this was a bit of lore he should know, but... why couldn't he get a grasp on it? And why would he be the one to know the answer to this question anyways? Who was he exactly? Was the answer to his question lying right on the other side of the haze he was in? [2015/07/24 17:34:34] Cailean (alistair.greymyst): (( Any combat related questions may be directed to Batman or myself as well. )) [2015/07/24 17:34:35] /me Asi found the present scene to be positively fascinating, beyond his understanding of anything, and thus interesting to behold. Another bird bit the... it wasn't dust. The thing, and this was disappointing. Troubling too, of course. "You are not hallucinating, I have never heard of a collective hallucination," he informs the horned mage, attempting to grasp his arms while standing halfway and tumbling for his fourth chair. "Do we leave? Is it possible to? Perhaps we are to die, this would be unfortunate I believe." [2015/07/24 17:34:42] ~Vala~: /me was absolutely flung about like a rag doll. Which caused her to cling more tightly, though as he shifted her onto his back, she'd go without argument. She was more or less useless in a fight against something like this, and he was big and strong. She'd be distracted in her one-true-love-ism by how muscular his body was, but that didn't last long, and she'd turn her attention forward. Vala watched in horror as the black mist thing sucked in another bird, and as its tendrils moved towards some of the party-goers. "No... no, that's not right!", she'd whisper softly, trembling in fear against Bu'z. As he began to cast, however, she'd quiet herself to listen to the beautiful sound, though her saucer-wide eyes stared ahead and at the other party-goers, fear causing her to tremble, even as her arms and legs wrapped around Bu'z. [2015/07/24 17:35:10] Crystiel Thistlebush: /me glances down at her feet and finds a small concaved hole under the tree root, since she cant run, cant cast spells...and her Owl friend, nowhere near by....it would make a good hiding space...maybe. she lays down and rolls under the root outcropping but keep and eye out on whats going on....she cant do anything for now...but perhaps when this is all over she can help who ever is left over {Hides} [2015/07/24 17:35:33] Corgi: With the sound of another ear-splitting screech, half of the wisps tearing off in the direction of the (NPC) satyrs and swarming the chunky, muscular one first and beginning to tear the flesh from his arms, legs, whatever they could sink their tiny teeth into. That was lucky for the elf they had been terrorizing, at least. The remaining nine sensed the fear from the Vala and swarmed to her, aiming at that pretty lil' face of hers. [2015/07/24 17:39:10] /me Sibylla Rewah was ready. she had her weapon ready,a nd if that failed... she looked at the little fake claws on her fingers. could those little thing she poisoned? she didn't know. but if they were hopefully physical, she could at least slap them with her spell. she spotted Mathis protecting someone and inched over towards him a little, "i take it this wasn't planned." she offered to him softly, but her attention never left the area and her concentration wholly on the spell as the little blood tendril whipped around her in little wild circles. [2015/07/24 17:39:16] /me Cynric was very keen on what was quickling becoming of the birds- the ones that Asi had not scooped up off the table and took to carrying around. They were poping into mists of blood, or being tossed about as hardly unreconizable balls of organic material. "Look, I would not like to venture to guess what would become of a larger corporal form if it were to enter into the darkness.. And given the positioning and advancement, I would say they are in midst of a feeding ritual." Unfortantly the heavy crossbow upon his back had him in thoughts that it would do of little good. "No, you said that such would not even be considered until this week is out, it is still the week you proclaimed that death would now come." He set about searching for a clear means to vacate the area- but his looking about lagged as he was already begining the weaving of his own spell. A shift to flesh, and a rashy looking appearance spreading across what flesh of his appeared visible- a secreation of brownish fluid that appeared like mu [2015/07/24 17:39:16] /me Cynric: began to seep across him. ( 1/2 -Armor ) [2015/07/24 17:39:22] /me Padishar continued to concentrate on his spell, and thankfully nothing pounced him and Meri in the process. Once the spell was complete, he grabs Meri around the middle and pulls her with him into the portal he'd created. Hoping to mitigate any follow through from the evil wisp things coming in. The rest of the party was certainly on their own! Padi was nobody's hero but Meri's at the moment. [2015/07/24 17:40:08] /me Corgi rolls R4 (CC:b81f): 69, eat yo' face (@vala) [2015/07/24 17:40:42] Erthur Throkreak: /me staggered a bit as it seemed he tripped a little when judging how heavy this axe was, he wouldn't make the same mistake again! He'd raise the axe up before charging again this time aiming to bring it down over himself, wow he didn't realize he was this strong, he'd glance back halfway through to see if His love was mirrin. [2015/07/24 17:40:50] Merialeth Windstar (caireannliadan): /me heard the sounds about her, her eyes holding on Padi's, hating the fact she felt so helpless but there wasn't a damn thing she could do. The sound of the wisps tearing into the satyr would have made Meri cry had she known, but she was blessedly focused on Padi, knowing it was likely the only way she was getting out of there. The spell complete, and holding on for dear life, Meri'd dash a glance back just as the wisps swarmed at the satyr and bit back a scream as she poofed out of sight [2015/07/24 17:41:12] /me Erthur Throkreak rolls R6 (CC:b820): 113, I'm too sexy for my axe [2015/07/24 17:41:32] Raptus (krath): ((4 damage)) [2015/07/24 17:42:22] Jaxon (nelu.zuta): Wow, go to look for help from raising bones and come closer to the gathered party nd one...he was getting touched, and twooo all hell was breaking loose. Quite literally too! Now what was he supposed to do? (Just rolling the fae high) [2015/07/24 17:42:33] /me Jaxon rolls Dice (CC:b821): 59, Fae high [2015/07/24 17:45:41] /me Ravyn rolls R7 (CC:b822): 139, Dodging face-eaters [2015/07/24 17:47:37] Reanna Sèitheach (reanna.lockjaw): /me took a step back, rump bumping the table as she just shakes her head. Nothing like the taste of copper in your mouth. She'd wrinkle her nose, ears still pinned back. She'd reach up to brush hair out of her face.. only to find those horns. Yep. Just now. "Whit th' buck?! whit th' actual buck is gonnae oan?" She'd bristle, having to fight her very nature to shift and run her ass home. In trying to find her bearings, and follow those flitting shadows, she'd turn and notice the pile of dead behind her. Lips parted again, to scream out something about wasting perfectly good food.. when suddenly.. MORE COINS!! [2015/07/24 17:49:27] /me Corgi rolls R4 (CC:b824): 44, dodge axe? [2015/07/24 17:54:52] /me Ravyn rolls R7 (CC:b825): 109, Dodging the axe of Raptus [2015/07/24 17:56:03] /me Shy [JSW] The spastic shadeling drifts past Crystiel and Viveka to focus its attention on Jamison, the dark mass of its center jerking around the man to embrace him in cold tendrils of death that feel like ice left on the skin too long. The dark mist flickers away from the fae-touched human, onward toward the pale creature nearby, perhaps drawn by the light countenance. The shadeling reaches its icy mist tendrils toward Asi's hair to unwind it from the fairly neat updo. [2015/07/24 17:56:47] /me Viveka hunkered down, her eyes growing fierce. She inhaled sharply and began her shift. If only she realized she wasn't naked. She was going to come out of this annoyed that her favorite dress got torn up. The sound of her bones beginning to snap would add to the sounds going on around them. Breaking, cracking, grunts, all the fun and pleasant sounds a body made when it was shifting into another form. Her muscles tore and reformed, a snout beginning to elongate on her face, her skin turning a darker color, ears shifting from elven shape to a more wolf like shape. She may not fight well, but damnit, she was going to give it her all, even though it did seem like the attention was going elsewhere.... [Shifting 1/2] [2015/07/24 17:57:14] Mathis Casthal (incabulos): /me rooted himself where he was. The stalwart defender of his brother, a bulwark against the encroaching darkness. As Syb moved closer and her words offered, he’d only answered with a nod and look of irritation. The wafting stench of the dead crinkled his nose, as peering hues watched the epic axe welding dwarf do his thing. For now Mathis would remain on the defensive, such was his nature. (Afk for a sec..) [2015/07/24 17:58:22] /me Bu'zyasti'in continued his song uninterrupted and reached back with his left arm to hold Vala in place, even as his right forearm ignited with bright red flames which burnt the rose on his finely crafted bracer to ashes in a matter of seconds. That arm lifted towards the shadeling and fired off a searing blast of flame in that direction just as his song reached its crescendo, and the song continued. It wasn't until that first blast of flame tore towards the shadeling that he realized poor Vala was being swarmed, which caused him (after the first assault) to try and whip around again, just in time to see the drunken dwarf's axe come down through the wisps, nailing Vala in the process as well. After a brief threatening hiss, he resumed his focus and attention to his surroundings, attempting to keep his large frame between Vala and any further damage. (Massive Flame Bolt @ Shy/Shadeling 2/2, defensive stance adopted for Vala.) [2015/07/24 17:58:58] /me Bu'zyasti'in rolls R5 (CC:b828): 31, fwooosh! @shy. [2015/07/24 17:59:14] /me Jamison Blackwater blinked and shivered as he felt something run across his face. Cold? Dark? What was it? The feeling was gone in an instant, or at least his memory of it, but the skin that had been touched was reddened, like he'd left ice on it for a bit. It wasn't a serious wound, and of course it would heal quickly, but his body was left shivering, even as his mind wondered why. If only he could get his act together and help.... [2015/07/24 17:59:50] /me Shy [JSW] rolls R3 (CC:b829): 38, Boo, Bu! [2015/07/24 17:59:54] Crystiel Thistlebush: /me unconsciously sinks further into her hole, in hopes that she isnt noticed, her small size giving her a advantage..at least for hiding. she has no hope of surviving out there herself. she shivers as she feels the presence of the shadling drfit past her, she holds her breath as chills run through her body and then lets out a steady stream as it goes past her hiding spot...great, it seems to be working...for now. [2015/07/24 18:00:11] ~Vala~: /me saw them coming, saw them making their way right for her, and she'd scream in terror, hiding that pretty little face of hers against Bu'z's hair, even as she trembled. For a moment, she'd consider using Bu'z as a shield of sorts, but they were a swarmy type of thing, and so, rather than cling further to the snake, she'd jump down from his back, dodging away from the black things and heading for a tree. As the dwarf tried to swing his axe through the mist, however, he'd land the blade of it square in her leg. Damn shorty. She'd cry out in pain, her thigh now split open (Damage 2), before hitting the ground, right on the coils of Bu'z's tail. [2015/07/24 18:01:41] /me Asi frowns to himself as Cynric recalls for him that he did say death was not an option this week. An unfortunate lie he may have told, giving a satyr just got ate like slow cooked pork falling right off a bone. At least Cynric seemed to be casting some measure of self safety. He, unfortunately, pissed away ability to wield magic trying to look fancy for a death party. "You will not die," he assures the mage as he makes to stand for the chair to his right, but this seems to get a cool, moist, evil tickly sensation in his head. "Pardon?" he questions the mists, squinting like he wasn't sure if this was bothering him of not, but he did have some naturally ultra hydrated healthy hair that would not be too hair to loosen. This, still, was probably terrible, somehow, probably, and prompts the snatch up of the fifth chair meantfor his rear to set upon the fourth chair, and perch upon it that was to become a proper tall meat shield for Cynric and whatever else wanted to stand behind him. [2015/07/24 18:04:53] /me Asi rolls R6 (CC:b82a): 76, Dodging a thing from Bu [2015/07/24 18:05:27] /me Asi doesn't die maybe. Or does. What is reality anyway. [2015/07/24 18:07:00] /me Cynric was a bit indisposed at present as he was concentrating on fortifying his defenses. He did not have much of personal investiment in the land or the people of it at present to forgo his own safety. And the mud and bark like formations continued to ooze across his body till it seemed to have formed and incased him in a natural suit of armor.. earths own protection. "This looks dire," he said, but in still a positive tone to indicate that all hope shall not be abandoned. "But we still aught to help in some way, where we see capable of doing..." but his words were cut off with a sharp intake of air as one of the shadlings ventured over towards Asi... And firey explosions in that general vacinity. (2/2 Armor) [2015/07/24 18:10:29] Valesk: /me StoryWeaver | The wisps were angry at their victim hiding, the attack missing. The unpleasant scream in her ear was probably less than ideal, and their target quickly switched to the small man with the axe. As they swarmed towards his face, the axe hit the brunt of the grouping. A loud hiss came from the wisps as they were destroyed, their bodies turning into a slimy, black liquid that flew towards his face. The other part of the group jumped to attention from their devouring of the (NPC) Satyrs at the sound of their fallen companions and rushed in that direction. (Roll Reflex vs 130 to dodge the black liquid.) [2015/07/24 18:11:50] /me Erthur Throkreak rolls R5 (CC:b82e): 7, *lubes up his dice* [2015/07/24 18:14:18] /me Shy [JSW] Whoa! Bu has fae-touched aim, luckily for both the shadeling and Asi. But the flame bolt gets close enough to elicit a howling shriek that fills the fog-enclosed area, scaring the crows so that the carrion birds erupt into a symphony of terrified squawking that reaches an unnerving level. It isn't quite sure from where the magical bolt came, but Asi is the closest target and still an object of interest, so the shadeling throws itself at Asi's back, the misty monster floating up to meet the the protector's elevated height. He now has a nightmare backpack made of needle-sharp teeth and razor claws. Fun Fae party favor! [2015/07/24 18:15:12] Erthur Throkreak: /me felt his axe embed into the ladies leg, he'd grunt after it went through the shades, "Sorry, ye got in da way!" he'd start to wrench his axe out when the liquid splattered across his helm hitting him in the face causing him to wrench the axe free and staggering back, "ARGHHH YE FOCKIN CUNT OHH YE WHEE ALRGHHHH!" he'd open his one good eye now, the dwarf was truely fierce as he began to go berserk he'd only see red as he brought the axe up to slice at any baddies nearby, damned if he didn't go out fighting. [2015/07/24 18:15:16] /me Shy [JSW] rolls R3 (CC:b830): 24, Attacking Asi from behind [2015/07/24 18:15:47] Reanna Sèitheach (reanna.lockjaw): /me ears perked as she wipes a coin from her cheek, shaking her head a bit as she turns back around. She knew that sound. Knew it damned well and she'd look for the source of the shifting person, until that sickening smack of axe in flesh brought her back around. She'd throw her hands up, dagger still clutched in the one hand as she screams at the dwarf "Whit in th' heel ur ye oan? ye cannae bludy slice at th' damned wisps!" As that axe brings that unholy screeching out again she'd back up, trying to dodge any flinging goop.. All while releasing control of her inner wolf. The shift was going to be fast and hard, as bones snap, teeth elongate and those ears perk. Pale flesh gave way to a snowy white pelt as muscles tear and reform. (shift 1/2) [2015/07/24 18:16:36] /me Asi rolls R6 (CC:b831): 7, only accepts that from one person, Shy [2015/07/24 18:16:46] /me Reanna rolls Dice (CC:b832): 81, cause someone was dumb and didn't put points in reflex.. [2015/07/24 18:17:40] /me Viveka continued to shift, her nails turning into claws and digging into the trunk of the tree she was crouched down on. Her skin thickened and hair began to grow, eyes turning a darker color. The grunts began to sound more like growls and her voice deepened, becoming more gruff and guttural. Slowly, the sound of bones breaking began to slow and finally come to their end. As she was rising to her full height, the sounds off to the side near Asi caused her to crouch back down again, not entirely sure what was going on because she had missed all of the happenings while she was shifting. [Shift 2/2] [2015/07/24 18:18:20] /me Erthur Throkreak rolls R8 (CC:b834): 31, Oh now you made him angry [2015/07/24 18:20:37] /me Corgi rolls R4 (CC:b835): 104, dodge @raptus [2015/07/24 18:21:01] Crystiel Thistlebush: /me coveres her ears as she curls up in her hole, she doesnt like fighting or warr..and this is just as bad. she cracks her eyes open and sees the elf girl shifting in a wolf girl. she then takes a quick peek of everything else then ducks back further into her hole. [2015/07/24 18:21:17] /me Bu'zyasti'in 's eye narrowed as Vala fell from his grasp onto his tail, which actually helped him a bit - quickly, the thick-scaled appendage wrapped up and around Vala's body, maintaining that defense by quite literally giving her snakescale armor. The huge serpent winced slightly as his blast of searing flames came a bit too close to nailing the blonde man, but his eerie song continued undeterred, pulling his magic in around him to focus another blast of searing flame, this time directed at the angered group of wisps approaching which appeared to be the most immediate threat. And if it missed and nailed the dwarf by mistake? Eh, well...fair was fair, in his mind. (Massive Flame Bolt 1/1 @corgi, still defending.) [2015/07/24 18:21:42] /me Bu'zyasti'in rolls R5 (CC:b836): 110, because fiiiiire! [2015/07/24 18:22:21] /me Corgi rolls R4 (CC:b837): 39, no fire pls [2015/07/24 18:23:30] /me Asi makes a liar of himself today, alas. Cynric will surely be mad about this later. He hadn't to much thought on anything otherwise outside of that fear, and how the hell he was going to find another chair to sit on while keeping Cynric and whomever else he was shielding for safe. Suddenly! He's forced to think, mostly about how much pain hurt and corporeal forms were some bullshit. So much bovine fecal matter in fact, that he is forced to act upon the impulse of jumping up to snatch the chair from beneath him and swing that oversized shroom at the evil maybe cousin marring up his pretty skin. [2015/07/24 18:23:54] ~Vala~: /me had fallen to the ground after being clobbered by Erthur's axe in the leg, and was bleeding profusely. As Bu'z wrapped his tail around her, she'd find the action strangely comforting, though she knew she could bleed to death if this kept up... Axe wound to the thigh, and all. Curling closer in the scales, she'd watch as much as she could, but couldn't move to do anything, and would have been useless anyway. [2015/07/24 18:24:04] /me Asi rolls R4 (CC:b838): 116, Chair moment for Shy [2015/07/24 18:28:10] /me Shy [JSW] rolls R3 (CC:b839): 57, Don't wanna let Asi go! [2015/07/24 18:28:41] /me Cynric seemed to be able to steal himself a bit more, the noise and comotion blocked out a bit in light of coming into further protection. "See now I do not need to be so co-dependant." He hissed beneath his breath, sounding a bit annoyed at the party, at Asi, whom knew... His eyes swirved back towards the shadling that had dared a touch upon Asi's head. The one emitting that god aweful shrik, but he wouldn't soon forget the firey fumble of Bu either. And the mage lifted his hands upward, fingers twitching a bit inward as he called upon his powers, chanting in a low huskier tone. (Acid Bolt 1/2) [2015/07/24 18:30:08] Erthur Throkreak: /me grew tired of fighting wisps, he wasn't hitting the small elusive targets and they kept jizzing black stuff on him! He'd look around blood red was all he saw as he leapt up onto a mushroom stool leaping over the table to bring his axe down onto a shadeling, "SUPRISE ATTACK!" [2015/07/24 18:30:09] /me Shy [JSW] The shadeling sticks to Asi like a spider monkey on crack. Those needle-like teeth and razor-sharp claws bare down through clothing trying to find purchase into the man's flesh. And still that liquidy groaning rumbles from the monster as if its putrid lungs are filled with water. It's not trying to suck blood. On no. The shadeling just wants to tear away at whatever it touches, to destroy. But Asi rises swiftly, swinging the mushroom chair with such force that the shadeling loses grip and crashes into a table. [2015/07/24 18:30:32] /me Erthur Throkreak rolls R8 (CC:b83a): 110, Two handed heavy armor Rogue [2015/07/24 18:31:38] Reanna Sèitheach (reanna.lockjaw): /me took a few steps back , that goop managing to spash across her arms and chest. She was still mid shift, not noticing the slow burn mixed in with that pain of rearranging body parts. She'd open that shifting maw.. and spewed her last bit of coins. Stupid coins. She'd melt her things down to make a damned something out of them. Fur replaces that pale flesh as she shakes out, the black marring that snowy pelt. Hackles raise as she snaps teeth at the air, trying to get out of the tangle of leathers she had made into a dress. [2015/07/24 18:31:49] Reanna Sèitheach (reanna.lockjaw): (2/2 btw for epic shift tiem) [2015/07/24 18:33:19] Storyweaver:: whispers: Annnnd there was fire, this is why you don't play with fire. There was flames were on one of the tables near Wild and the gang from the lovely Bu's missed attack from prior, flames.. Fae were either screaming or laughing or simply enjoying the chaos. There were sound of groaning suddenly... from above. Whispers of strange and unearthly origin. And then... drip... drip... black ooze started to fall from the trees, little droplets of black upon the party before. [2015/07/24 18:36:54] /me Jamison Blackwater even in his dazed stupor glanced down and noticed the flames on the table. He didn't have to wonder what the hell it was, his body was smart enough to move out of the way. In fact... it might even be better if he were to leave this area entirely. Yes, instinct was taking over, and he was smart enough to at least wander away from the fire and the combat, seeing as how he wasn't able to do anything anyways. And he had done nothing to provoke an attack either. So he might as well get away from the painful burning and choking smog. [2015/07/24 18:37:09] /me Shy [JSW] rolls R3 (CC:b83b): 98, I'm being dwarfed! [2015/07/24 18:37:36] /me Sibylla Rewah backed from the scene of the shadeling attacking Asi. now that she could see what was causing this... she wanted out. gone. she wanted to leave. nope. she did not want to be part of this fight. she stumbled back and nearly landed in the fire by the table, so close to Jamison. cursing, her fake foot was stuck on the stump table. "bloody hell." she managed to yank it free, but not before quite a few black drops of ooze coated her white hair... WHITE HAIR. she looked like someone just dumped a bucket on her head. oh no that did not just happen. her spell was lost, she was too busy wiping the dripping goop from her face. 'fuck this shit' was her only thought, but no words came out. if she opened her mouth, she feared something might fly in. at this point anything could happen. so she scrambled up and backed away from her bane, the fire. the guard was pretty ok in the corner, against the stone, the baby just mumbling in baby talk and all that. [2015/07/24 18:40:21] /me Asi scurries of the the side as soon as the weird black mass was off of him, poor thing. T'was not it he was fleeing either, but whatever fire was nearby he was compelled to nope from as far as he could without outright abandoning Cynric. Wide circling that hot mess and trying to take a sixth chair with him. "This is no longer interesting," he informs loudly, trying to drop himself and his chair nearby Cynric. "It is confusing and painful, and we should all leave." [2015/07/24 18:40:58] /me Viveka was just about to leap in the direction of what was attacking Asi when she felt something fall on her head. She looked up only to have more land on her nose, which she quickly shook her head to make it fly off in another direction. And then, Asi smacked what was attacking him into a table...and...just....lost. She was so stupid when it came to combat that she was liable to just start swinging to make sure everything bad died....and possibly some of the good in the process. Instead, she offered herself as protection, going to where the little satyr was and trying to pull her out of the ground so that she could keep her from getting crushed or hurt in some other way. [2015/07/24 18:42:10] /me Cynric remained focused on his spellweaving, diminly watching one of the tables near by go up in flame- but most importantly keeping an eye upon a certain elven creature that the shadling seemed to have desired. He sang out as he released his spell's intentions directly towards the Shadling (Shy). The earth around the Shadling cracks and shifts as large vines dance out of the ground and seek to impale him with multitude of thorns. "To destroy something beautiful." The dripp dripping of black ooze would just have to wait as it trickled down his face and mud and barked coated body. He had seemed entranced at first and only after firing the spell would his eyes slowly fall back to Asi whom was now back by his feet desiring departure. (2/2 'Vine' Acid Bolt) [2015/07/24 18:42:27] /me Cynric rolls R7 (CC:b83c): 92, Acid Bold - Massive @ Shy [2015/07/24 18:43:40] Corgi: (( Btw, the rain is not shade rot. It's just goopy black disgusting stuff. )) [2015/07/24 18:44:06] /me Shy [JSW] As the shadeling flies to the side from Asi's back, Erthur's axe connects with its chest. The force of the impact instantly kills the shadeling, and you know what that means? Oh yes. The monster explodes into a font of toxic black ooze that sprays in the direction of Asi and Cynric, even as the thorny vines reach up to embrace a dark body that no longer exists ((Asi and Cynric, please roll Reflex vs. 130)) [2015/07/24 18:45:56] /me Cynric rolls Dice (CC:b83d): 27, To attempt doding - Blood Armor still active. [2015/07/24 18:46:15] Crystiel Thistlebush: /me from her hiding place she sees black drops of 'slime?" dripping on the ground just outside her hole, the root above her keeping her safe from the falling dropplets for the time being..and then she sees the elf turned shewolf rushing towards her and reaching..maybe she lost it orr something, but shes safe where she is..she wiggles back against the grasping hand, "Frozen rat is cozy bedroll...fly cuttle fish Fly!" she screams. [2015/07/24 18:47:11] Erthur Throkreak: /me felt the shade dissipate, good it meant he didn't have to yank his axe out, he'd stretch out yelling into the sky, his helemt mostly keeping the good away form his face unlike earlier with the wisp, "ARGHHHHH!" was all he could say lost to his bloodrage, he'd run over bones crushing them underfoot and knocking stools and barrels out of the way to slash at the wisps again! [2015/07/24 18:47:41] /me Asi rolls R6 (CC:b83e): 36, Is so dead omg [2015/07/24 18:47:47] /me Erthur Throkreak rolls R8 (CC:b83f): 125, The bigger axe is in my pants [2015/07/24 18:49:07] Reanna Sèitheach (reanna.lockjaw): /me is getting coated in the black goop, which only irritates her more. She'd shake it off, sending it flying as she darted -away- from the bloodraged dwarf. She knew better. Yep. Not getting in his way, and getting the hell away from all that fire. She'd take in the scene, and try.. try.. to see if she could at least drag someone out of here and away from the clearly.. in her mind anyways.. Unseelie party crashers. [2015/07/24 18:51:58] /me Viveka hadn't the foggiest idea what that meant...but since she was trying to get away from her....Vik could only assume that she didn't want the help? "Eddle bread snorts time monkeys!" she would say in the gruff voice, though more clear than other garou typically were. She wanted to get the little satyr girl out of the area if she could! It would help her feel less a fool for shifting for absolutely no reason at all. Maybe. Because things seemed to have calmed down. She honestly had no clue what was going on. About the same time that Reanna shook the muck off of her, Vik did the same thing, only adding to the nastiness that was flinging about everywhere. As futile as it was to even attempt it. [2015/07/24 18:51:58] /me Bu'zyasti'in shuffled backwards slightly and kept his 'passenger' well-protected in his mass of coils; thankfully, being near 30 ft long meant he still had plenty of tail to work with for movement purposes. A victorious hiss escaped him as his second attack found its target, but upon seeing that immediate threat dealt with...he began to recognize that just about everyone was still a threat. Everyone, at least, that wasn't his passenger still wrapped relatively safely in his coils. A sharp glance was shot backwards over his shoulder as if seeking a path to run, even as drips of black liquid began to fall against his form - hopefully, his scaled coils at least protected Vala from that much. Noting that the shadeling had been dislodged from its target and he finally had a (relatively) clear shot, he aimed his palm at a spot over the dwarf's shoulder and...halted as said dwarf's attack smacked his target with enough force to cause it to explode. Well, that was about as long as he was going to stick around. Tu [2015/07/24 18:51:59] /me Bu'zyasti'in: sinuously, the massive serpent uncoiled slightly so as to scoop Vala up in his arms with little discernible effort. Without so much as checking on anyone else present, he immediately began slithering his way the heck out of there, probably knocking tables and chairs out of the way with ease as he did. It was probably time for the poor girl to see a healer, and frankly he was beginning to panic just a little bit again. [2015/07/24 18:53:23] Pie (pieta.nowles): ((Everything is dead currently, however there is black ooze coming from ze trees.)) [2015/07/24 18:53:25] ~Vala~: /me was carried off with NO arguments! [2015/07/24 18:53:47] Reanna Sèitheach (reanna.lockjaw): Zee treeees)) [2015/07/24 18:54:01] Pie (pieta.nowles): ((Also those fleeing ignore the wall up, you are free to flee. )) [2015/07/24 18:54:02] Raptus (krath): ((THEN I CHOP DOWN A TREE)) [2015/07/24 18:54:22] Cyn (cynabal): (Then flee I shall! Thanks for the awesome scene. xD) [2015/07/24 18:54:32] Ravyn (ravyncorvys): ((ditto what Cyn said!)) [2015/07/24 18:54:55] Shyralei: ((Thank you everyone for participating! Welcome to Shadeling Rush Week!)) [2015/07/24 18:55:35] Batman (grant.kirax): ((the trees here will all rot away, but there will be something left behind )) [2015/07/24 18:55:35] /me Asi pretty much gets coated in itching, burning crap. Presumably a sort of toxic substance that would still affect an elemental. Ferngully Hexxus crap right here, likely all up in his face. He felt, rather abruptly, polluted. Oil spilled in even, and it was enough to cause such a panic even chairs ceased to be on his mind. He just made some terrorized, confused sound of water glugging down a blocked drain and frantically grabbed for his summoner to try hauling his ass out of here. [2015/07/24 18:56:08] Erthur Throkreak: /me swung his axe into one of the nearby burning tables to put the fire out, his blood rage was dying slowely as he hacked the fire out, yelling all the while, "ARGHHH YE FOCKIN HAH AHHH AHHAHHH!" [2015/07/24 18:56:48] Crystiel Thistlebush: /me has no clue what that black stuff outside is, but she wasnt about to to go out there willingly, but then the hairy hand wraps around her body, "Buckets....baccon greese...fluffy pillow!!" [2015/07/24 18:58:22] Reanna Sèitheach (reanna.lockjaw): /me cast a glance to the kin behind her, ears flicking, looking for all the world like a god damned hell hound with those horns, and that black goop covering her body. She snarls, making sure the others flee, and keeping an eye on the dwarf as he hacks his way out of his frenzy. She shook off the goop some more, hackles still raised as she pads around those left behind. [2015/07/24 18:59:20] /me Cynric was no longer deluded from reality through emotions once he got his counter attack off to Asi's onslaught- but just as the vines errupted from the ground at a body already dead- black spews shot off his direction. However it got lost amongst the blood goop already raining from the sky, despite seeming somehow... different. He just was incapable of dodging it, and it fell upon his mud and bark created armor- covering in black goop that clung to it- coating it like some tar. His eyes widen at Asi's sounds. His own instincts kicking in to turn abruptly towards Asi, much concern upon his face. But the second that Asi sought to grab for him- all his strength plumpted out of his body, and his eyelids and head did a slow drooping roll, and by the time Asi had his arms around Cynric- Asi would be holding an unconscious body. [2015/07/24 19:00:41] /me Viveka let out a huff as she seemed to have gotten hold of the little satyr girl. She would hold her close and shield her from the crap falling from the trees, not even realizing that's precisely what the girl was trying to avoid. She paused when she noted Reanna looking her way. She knew anything she said wasn't going to make any sense what so ever, so she just nodded her head to the freaky looking wolf, and then glanced to the dwarf that was getting a little sing happy. Slowly she would start to make her way out of the area with the little satyr girl to get her to safety. And then cleaned off. It was bad enough she couldn't sing for coin tonight...she didn't have to look and smell horrendous as well. She could at least still dance or something. [2015/07/24 19:03:56] Erthur Throkreak: /me was calming down, usually this would be the point all his wounds caught up to him and he'd collapse due to blood loss, but he made it out of the battle pretty unscathed save the black jizz, he'd drop the head of his axe letting it embed into the gorund as he rested on a tree trunk a bit breathing, looking around before he spotted the horns, "Err...love?" he'd ask to the wolf, she had the same weird horns but he didn't remember her shifting he was too angry to have noticed. [2015/07/24 19:04:38] Crystiel Thistlebush: /me stops struggling in the grip as she realizes the shewolf is covering her body from the black rain...she doesnt trust it, its not natural...but at least she doesnt get wet from it too much, "Happy frog, sings melody" she says in thanks as she is carried out. [2015/07/24 19:05:30] /me Sibylla Rewah really needed a bath house. she sighed as the shadeling died. well that was interesting. she hoped that didn't hurt anyone. rolling her shoulders, she moved back over to her daughter fully, running a hand over her face. but she was too messy to take the child, Adria loved hair and Syb's hair was way too gross for Syb to let Adria get at it. so, she motioned her guards to get up and get going, her goop covered ass following suit and off she went. [2015/07/24 19:06:46] /me Asi already looked a fair bit nasty by the time he got to dragging the now floppy Cynric backward. Flesh erupted in gross, like veins, and might be having some overall oozing Dali effect to them. Before a proper exit though, as he wasn't sure what Cynric would himself, he asks the remaining hardcore goers, "May I provide assistance to anyone else?" The dwarf and the wolf, of course.

Resolve 5to6: Against Tiefling Discrimination. In this scene, Cynric has the ambitions to join the Warden. Asi however had expressed previous concerns about the Warden's treatment of Tieflings. Cynric came by the resolve to go against his ambitions to fight for what was right to ensure Asi would find honor in the task. [20:48] Abassi sauntered into the Keep and tipped her head to the guards stationed at the front while they opened the gate. " Oi evenin' Ricardo." she greeted the one with a charismatic smile though the man returned the friendly gesture with a scoff. " For the tenth time Abassi, its Richard." he corrected, voice riddled with irritation and the Harbinger laughed heartily in return. " Yah! I know, I just am messin wit ya now dere, boyo." Was she really? Who knew. Snickering the redhead turned her attention back to the Keep's interior and surveyed her surroundings. At this time of night, activity was sparse but still there was the bustling of individuals as they switched shifts and dined in the Hall. Those silver hues bounced from place to place until settling on the unfamiliar figures loitering in front of the blacksmith and she quirked a brow, approaching with wave. " Evenin'! Haven't seen yar faces about dese parts. What can da Warden's do for ya?" [20:52] Cynric smiled back at Asi as the man shared not an input to random thoughts that surfaced within his mind. "This might call for a bit more exploration, to see if there is other areas that peak our interest about the keep." As his interest had switched only to locations over the flickering movements of NPC wardens moving about the keep- they always seemed to keep their distance, which suited Cynric just fine given present circumstances. Abassi's approach would be over looked at first - after all they had been admist other Wardens moving about the place all evening without coming by any usuable information he had given up on them, and was just about to steer Asi off towards the infirmary when someone actaully spoke to them. He paused for a second, but did not hesitate to realize she was speaking to them. He turned back at once, "Greetings, I am Cynric, and this is my traveling companion, Asi. We are relatively new to the isle of Valesk, but have already come by hearing of the Wardens. Where I hail from, far [20:52] Cynric: the east, I was something of a guardian of the fields, and rather enjoyed that role.. protecting, and I was recommended to check in with the Wardens, though the guards of the village was also mentioned." [20:58] Asi didn't seem to have too much to say himself, more than content with studying other beings as they went about their lives. Smile indulgently at Cynric as random thoughts were mentioned, but overall seemed distracted and less chatty and curious than typical. Not that the woman ahead was aware of them, and he still offered her a smile all her own, followed by a low bow before stepping backward and around to lurk behind the mage. [21:07] Abassi crossed her arms comfortably over her chest as she began to observe the strangers. One was rather confident and the other, quiet and perhaps reserved in nature. It was noted but smiled regardless, dipping her head at the bow. " Well welcome ta our island. Es usually such a safe place but da shadelins' been breedin' like rabbit as of late." the woman admitted, nodding slowly before continuing. "Guardian of da Fields? I cannot say i've heard of dem, fella but if ya were a guardian dan tis 'ere place may be da right place for ya." Abassi encouraged them both as a arm wiggled free of it's position and gestured to the entirety of the keep. When the guard was mention however, there was an instant change in demeanor and her head shook in disapproval. "Nah, boyo. Da guard ain't competent enough ta protect dis 'ere isle. Dae may protect dere little hovel up dere but da denizens of dis place need da true protectors. Da Wardens. We are expertized in da slaughter of shadelins' and demons, as well as any othah dat is [21:07] Abassi menace to da peace 'ere of the isle." [21:11] Cynric nods in an 'all to knowing' manner and was in the midst of gesturing to someone that was no longer there, turning slightly more to acknowledge Asi lingering behind his back. The corner of his lips tucked back into a slight frown, "He is a bit unwell at present, as even new to this land we are no strangers to these shadlings and he suffers still from our last run in but is rising in health now, thanks to the Godess Valesk herself guiding us to a quick recovery." He would brush the shoulder of Asi, "No need to be shy, yes?" He encouraged. He turned his attention back to Abassi, "It would suit be greatly to offer my services in protecting those of the isle against the shadlings and demons, but as for others.. Well menace is one thing." He looks back to Asi, "Would you like to speak your concern over what happened in the tavern, keeping in mind my current desires to join with the Wardens?" [21:19] Asi may very well be shy, or perhaps was a bit fearful of being confused for a demon in his present state. Mostly he just enjoyed observation and listening. Asked to speak, however, he'd at least step to the side and bow to the woman again, a bit like he didn't quite grasp why he bowed, just that it was polite. "The laws of Valesk conflict with themselves in that the Ninth is to broadly open for interpretation. Because of this, wrongful assault seems to take place, breaking then the Seventh and Eighth laws forthright and knowingly based upon the idea of the Ninth. Please amend and make clear the Ninth law. These are personal thoughts, they are not tied to Cynric." [21:30] Second Life: Items successfully shared. [21:31] Abassi narrowed her eyes towards the smaller of the two as they spoke. " Shaderot?" the woman inquired curiously, peering over him and wrinkled her nose. " I was wonderin' wat dat smell might of been. Es a nasteh infection. Ya are treatin it wit holy watah or did a priest see ya? I 'eard divine magic can aid in it also." she investigated further but held no care for the man's actual wellbeing but if he was currently toting around that damnable water. The tiefling felt her lips tighten as the conversation shifted to the next topic and her interest grew in the pair while the skin of her left arm contorted underneath the clothing, and concentrated to contain her falseform. " I think da law es quite clear. It... doesnt say ta attack any but ta break da law... ya may be subjected ta death. Depending on the severity. Demons, spawns of da demons... those who summon da demons... love dem'.. why do ya care for dere sake? Aftah all da those monstrosities have done ta innocent ere on da isle? " [21:32] Second Life: Items successfully shared. [21:33] Taegen V'hoori (alyxz.marenwolf): clothing, concentrating to contain * [21:36] Cynric gave a nod of confirmation to Abassi's words, "That seems to be the name of it from a book we aquired from the bookstore." He smiles at Asi's words, giving him a nod to show he has done well. Abassi's words brought his attention back to her, "The particularly incident that this came to our attention was we had met with a stranger, as all within this land currently are to us, within the tavern. He identified himself as a traveling merchant, and had a pecuiler look about him but we are familier with many who possess unique looks, though I had a natural distrust of him that I can not state why. All the same we were wanting to conduct business when two seemingly regulars to the tavern accused him of breaking the law by his very existance, and thus discriminated against through race and color, and proclaimed this merchant death should they see him again. And that he aught to thank his life the Wardens were not about or else he would have not left the tavern alive. It seemed the man was a tiefling, which [21:36] Cynric: where the law of demonic orgins became unclear, as he was neither being a meance at the time, nor proving to hold a 'demonic' attitude or compulsion beyond his looks. Now do you see where our concern and uncertainty lies?" [21:42] Asi seemed to lose immediate interest in the Warden himself, though said interest was never truly his to begin with. Just turned his head away and let Cynric play the diplomat then. [21:51] Abassi raised her brows as the inquirer failed to answer. Offended? Maybe. Perhaps he was a demon lover himself. The woman's eyes rolled over to the man, her actions betraying her thoughts and she smiled softly. " Spawn of da demons. Ya must remembah, new ta da island ya are... for five years da islanders have suffered a great loss ta da demons. It's only natural dat dere is hate for dem... they are na good creachas. Inside each tieflin' is taint. Darkness they cannot fight. They can snap on ya like wild animals. I fear if we stop huntin' them dere will be uprisin'. Da people will lose faith in da ones set ta protect dem from does creachas." The Harbinger scratched at her cheek and continued to keep her distance from the pair -- just in case. " Da ya think da same of da full bloods? Da ya want da demons ta be loved?" [21:56] Cynric was keen on Asi's own reactions, taking notice of Asi turning away. Already the past few days had changed him from being fully ambitious with little care to Asi's input, to holding the resolve to ensure his companion felt that the job was honorable. He stood his ground towards Abassi, looking a bit over confident in himself, "No. I hate demons. They are beyond redemtion. You can not seek to convert or change someone that holds no remorse for their actions. If they do not know wrong from right, then they can never do fully right. If there is demons plaguing this land, I will gladly seek them out, haunt them, slaughter them, do as I must to rid them.. Warden or not. As for the matter of the Tieflings, while I agree that they hold a taint within them, something that might cause them to do wrong at times.. they still hold the abilitiy of humans, to know right from wrong, and of self choice.. As long as they show remorse, ability to feel remorse.. then I believe they are not tottally without hope. Sure, [21:56] Cynric: an eye on them, watch them, Keep them in line, but permit them to exist, until they show they can only do wrong, or show they hold no remorse for their actions- then and only then would I believe that their demonic taint has grasped hold of their heart and transformed them into something not human." [22:10] Asi maintains his own stance of distance, more figuratively then forthright by simply listening to the conversation at hand. At various points between both mortals speeches, he bore a look of confusion, brow knitting and mouth stretching a frown as it mulled over was discussed. "I believe in what is known as just cause," he finally supplies himself. "There is no justice in attacking what is doing no harm. These 'demon' beings I have no knowledge of, but doubt the collective wrong to be angry with them. Their offspring, however, should be treated as other sentient humanoids are and left unmolested unless proven foul. Otherwise it is only fair to assault ALL sentient humanoids because they MAY commit an act deemed disfavorable by society. It is wrong to punish for the potential to do ill, as any free thinking entity is capable of as much." [22:25] Abassi grew in satisfaction as the answers painted a clearer picture of the character of the two. " Humanity. " came her thick accented voice came and seemed to ponder the subject with certain heaviness. " Ya bring up a fair point, boyos. I will keep it fresh in my mind... but I can not guarantee da safety of da tainted. Justice, yes. " The woman brought her hands to her belt bags and pulled a pipe from one, bringing to her lips to be held securely between. " I will update da isle of any changes... will ya be stickin around den?" [22:27] Cynric smirked a bit at Asi's words, partially delighted that the man was brought back around to join in the conversation with his own input. Cynric gives a bit of a nod, "I have seen many humans commit many horrible crimes without seeming to contain demonic taint. Infact I believe I have encountered more humans with this 'tiefling' thing tending to do right, and lead better lives out of spite of their demonic herritage or to prove their worth to society." Ultimately it made little difference to him... he did not quite possess Asi's sensabilities over the matter, but he knew he would regret it if he ignored Asi's emotions over the matter. Ambitions were always hard to put a side. He folds his hands together, giving a nod in aggrance to sticking around, "With that being said, as long as we have met with an understanding that neither I nor my collegue here will engage in attacking, dismantling, and removing the life of a tiefling without furhter justcause, nor would we aid any other breathern of the Warden [22:27] Cynric: doing the same... in adedum, we would linger to ensure that they do not need their life rescuing... how do we go about joining with the Warden."

Resolve 5to6: The Alchemy of Healing Sometimes a desperate situation cause for desperate actions - In this scene, Cynric had to first set aside his own personal interest in ensuring things were put back right between Asi and himself to following his ambitions with a call to aid. Then he come by the resolve to aid a wounded person in need, despite the unfavorable conditions. From where he made multiple comments that he would not be able to aid, it was not through weak will he changed his mind, but coming to terms that he was needed and needing to set aside his fears. [21:04] мαε (corgi) shouts: The second she passed the gates to the Keep, she began yelling as loud as those lungs would let her, for help, assistance for the wounded. [21:11] Asi hurriedly iced the small fishes in the communal kitchen area, still without input or word on anything about the human's day of food free for alls and general oddness. None of it was contract relevant, after all. Food iced, plant matter stuck on top, whee ice cantrips and stuff, he makes his merry way up the steps, pausing only for what sounded like some hardcore shouting in the distance. "Information on the ring or dragon?" he asks as Cynric apparently followed. "And do you desire to investigate those sounds?" [21:18] Kynaston Chasin found a spot near to the wall to relax languidly against as he occupied himself with observing the actions of Asi tending to stuff within the kitchen. He had not even thought of where ice would be gotten from, cleaver enough to assume Asi had intended to make his own but he was still just as impressed when he does, as it was not something Cynric held the ability of. He had practically walked right on into the kitchen area only to have Asi slip on past to the stairs which he followed up behind. The sound of screaming was far off indeed, and clearly beyond the village, he could make out nothing of it from within the building. "Dragon? Oh no nothing on the ring or the dragon, everyone was a bit to preoccupied with food consumption." He surged a bit forward, extending his arms out towards Asi in a clear intention to try to touch the man - just a light grace of his fingers to Asi's shoulders or arms is all he craved. "Does it claim your interest to do so?" He sounded eager, perked up a bit- hop [21:18] Kynaston Chasin: some interest.. emotions.. anyhting.. from the man. [21:29] Asi stops short of actually going in their room as his shoulder is touched, silently noting the lack of anything to do with their, or Cynric's, Warden objective. Might even be bothered to turn around and face the man, if only to dislodge his fingers. "I have no interests to claim. Such is not my purpose," he assures the mage politely, bowing to him and everything. "If you have no interest, then we do not go. It is this simple. Whomever is suffering is of consequence to me." [21:35] Kynaston Chasin was more than a bit bothered by the lack of permitting of any affection- the hand was indeed tossed a side to be forced to return back to Cynric's side. "And you did have interests, but I guess those are all mine now." He said in a bit of a moody tone. "I do hold interest, just that I could decipher nothing from a distant noise that it seemed almost foolish to run off into the night to seek it out. But fine, whatever, if you are in believe that there is someone suffering and that it should hold some conseqence to me, or my goals, then we shall go and see." Clearly he was not getting anywhere with Asi at the moment, and maybe some fresh air would do at least Cynric good. If Asi was still carrying around things, "Go ahead and set down whatever else you have, then we will be on our way." He took another large bite to the apple as he waited for Asi to be ready to depart, the apple was really just a distraction. [21:41] Asi straightens his posture towards the mage, careful not to show care in one direction or another as he simple repeats, "It is of no consequence to me, nor do I hold opinion. The decision is your's, I will simply follow." Only thing he's been carrying otherwise was his shirt, and that he'd drop as instructed. [21:42] Kynaston Chasin munches on the apple and jesters it towards the shirt on the floor, "But that back on then follow." He would turn and walk back off and out of the apartment. [21:47] Kynaston Chasin only hesitated up long enough for Asi to complet the latest task, before continuing on his way. He would walk briskly, looking for anything that may have been a disturbance or have caused the problem but so far it elluded him. Eventually he would arrive at the Keep- eatten apple tossed aside at some point within the woods. He quickly notices Jahou standing about. "We heard a noise, do you know anything of this and is everything alright?" [21:49] Jahou would glance around, "I only just got up here a brief time ago to take look around, but I've not heard nor seen anything amiss since stepping up here." [21:50] Asi put his shirt on and followed. Nothing interesting, just a pond. Oh look, an NPC nurse looking for a doctor courtesy of one SW. [21:53] Kynaston Chasin gave a nod to Jahou, "Aye, well I will let you know if I come upon any other information." When apparently a Nurse came along the path asking around about doctors, "Well no, not a doctor exactly, though I hold some knowledge in field medics, but of the mudane non magicial variety as my skills excell mostly in herbology, but I do not think I can be of much help." [21:56] Jahou would offer nod, "Aye, I shall be around the keep for a bit if anything requires my assistance. " He'd noted fearless leader heading into the infirmary, "For the moment I'd promised the harbinger a word at next chance so I ought see to what she needs before I get saddled with digging latrine holes." He'd chuckle softly and turn about dramatically as he hopped quickly down off the platform. [21:59] Kynaston Chasin gave a wave to Jahou as he departed, though as it were, they seemed to be headed the same direction- as their new course wsa towards the infirmary to at least find out waht the commotion was about. [22:00] Warden's Keep: Notice! This area is heavily patroled by armed Wardens. Attempts at theft or violence within view will be met with a swift response from them. Contact an Admin or Storyweaver if you wish to attempt this [22:02] Asi remains all the quiet, but helpfully joins the large infirmary party going on to aid in making the patient feel real guilty and self aware of his failures to not just cut up like long pork. Likely by staring at him until Kynaston asks for anything. [22:03] Kynaston Chasin actually ended up heading off the same direction as Jahou did, following a nurse though he was in the midst of explaining to the nurse that he did not work at the infirmary but was still interested in offering his aid where he could. So in this manner they would eventually arrive to the infirmary, some odd amount of time since Asi and him had heard the noise off in the distance- and he was rather surprised to find the infirmary so full and promptly saught to step off to the side to investigate. He asked nothing of Asi directly, only giving a slight sweeping gesture to the area he slipped off too. [22:03] Jaxon (nelu.zuta): UUgh this fucking hurt! He ws cursing just about everyone at this point. Fuck the Gods! Fuck his life, fuck Yer Momma! He was so hurt he had no more witty come backs D: all he could do was making pained sounds...which...ironically sounded like good sex...you know that is! "CUNT!" Was the one word he got to shoot out of his mouth as he was rolled onto his back that a hole in it....and no, it wasnt poop shoot it was an actual HOLE in his god damned back. [22:07] Jahou would wince as he stepped in to strong language. He was not expecting that, not that foul words were offensive, it was just a bit of blunt force trauma. He'd bow his head towards the Harbinger, "Miss Abassi, you'd said you'd wanted words with me... sorry for the delay and all, but no pressing matters draw my attention elsewhere if you'still have need of me." [22:11] Abassi entered in to utter chaos it seemed as her ears received a barrage of profanities and she literally had to stop a moment as the man rolled off the bed, revealing a hole in his lower back. " By Valeska's nose ring, da hell is going on 'ere?" the Harbringer called over the man's dramatics and let her eyes rest on the orc. " Thundah?" she inquired, searching for the quickest answer as the infirmary grew crowded with an audience. "Kendrick, Ahi, Jackal... " she turned to greet the newly arrived trio and smiled to the goatman, " Ah yes I did, dear but dis man seems ta have sustained a gruesome wound... I am going ta try to assist... I sent for a healer. Any of ya know more than da basic first aid?" she peered over the three. [22:15] Thunder huffed, sitting down on the bed beside him. "You are baby human." She'd suffered worse.. But then again, she was an orc. The nurses had not done much other than throw a salve over the entrance and exit wounds that went through his side and try to patch it up. Luckily for him, it had missed any internal organs, even though the blast had gone clear through to the other side. They had done their best to sew it shut but it was still bleeding and the orc kept repeating in her head that he wasn't going to make it if he didn't get proper attention. She kept looking towards the door, hoping that healers would come in with the nurse she sent out. Instead, what came in was a group of .. four? Three she had seened around the Keep, and one she knew as their Harbinger. Thunder pushed herself off the bed the second she recognized that red mane and turned to face her. The front of the orc was covered in blood, as well as her arms from when she had carried him over. "Human dying. Pissed off naga. She summoned ice, went [22:15] Thunder through him." She shook her head a few times, those thick dreads falling over her shoulders as she did. "Thunder can't help, nurses did all could." [22:16] Kynaston Chasin may have only just entered and not had a chance to fully access the situation... but the cries of pleasure were noted immeditely, only they were in actality the suffarance of pain - but the sounds sort of jarred him awake though he had not realized he was even partially in a daze. He stood wide eyed at someone potentially luder then he. "Could be easily misjudged... But the man seemes gravely wounded. I fear it is as I was just telling the nurse, I regreatably do not possess a job within this establishment to offer my aid here, within this establishment. But I hold the abilitly to make herbal tinctures, that would greatly relieve the pain, and prevent infections of the open wounds. I do not have the ingredents I would need to make it, but it sounds like a remady for frost bite and warming the skin back up would be sufficient in aiding in the meantime." [22:22] Asi turns it's third eye upon the satyr, not that it could see, but he felt it important just stare-but-not at it whilst actually staring at the swearing, thrashing and recognizable gentleman. "It is the diseased one's affectionate caretaker," he notes for Cynric, or the room at large like they cared for mundane facts. He cared for mundanely fascinating human facts, but could keep himself appropriately silent until Cynric states all that he can do. Far more helpful than he, ridding of pain and infection was nothing to sneeze at. Thus he only supplies, "It can force the fluids in the body to do as pleases. The wounds can be forced shut. It is unpleasant, however." If Cynric didn't know of this trick, he did now. [22:32] Jaxon (nelu.zuta): Wha...whaaaa!!! He wasnt a baby! He'd been stabbed with knives and swords before, but magic ice bolts threw his body was relatively new experience. "What....she said." He gritted threw his teeth. Damn though. Touch a snake ladies coils and hell breaks loose. It wasnt like he copped a feel or nothin! Vaguely he was picking up on the voices of the others, but the muttering of the npc nurses was still kind of distracting, even as they were off in the corner now as they'd done all they could. 'Diseased ones care taker' he picked up on though nd tried to focus on the blue man across the way. He recognized him too. "She's dieing." Hell he might be dieing who knew. Why right now she was relevant? Maybe it was the spinning room and blood loss. He was starting to feel a little out of it. Stuff was hurting less though. Was that a good thing or a bad thing? [22:35] Jahou would shake his head, "I'm a Songblade, no healer Harbinger, most I could do is calm him down, but little other real aid could be rendered by my hands. " He smiled weakly, "Now if Cyp were about, she could help out." But he hadn't seen her today he figured. "Well I know too many cooks when I see it and the man clearly needs some aid. I'll back out and let the more skilled hands set to work on this matter." [22:45] Abassi grit her teeth as everyone replied and fell short of what they needed. She nodded to the gratefully but turned back to the orc and her patient with a grimace. She was a hunter, tracker, warrior... hell even talented in some parts of blacksmithing but healing? She could only produce as much as the nurses could. " Da man must have internal damage.. Im na sure how long he will last if we at least stabilize em." The woman approached the bed and tried to assist the man back onto the little cot before peering at his wounds, glancing around the infirmary. " Is dere anything ya can give him ta help me' sleep till a healer can see him in da mornin?" she asked the nurses, " At least wrap it up and bandage it till da healers here." the woman directed the nurses as if she had the authority but between her intense stare and the direness of the situation, they seemed to budge and ran off to collect what was needed. " I will send word ta da head healer... Is that da Cy... you were speaking of?" she turned to Cynric. [22:50] Thunder glanced behind her. It felt like the amount of blood had doubled.. tripled since the last time she properly got a good look at him. It had to just be her mind playing tricks on her, though. Her brows raised, actual concern present on the orc's features as she turned her attention back to the group. "Help him now." She demanded, looking at them all in turn. There was something she just wasn't quite grasping about the fact that no one had moved to help him, other than Abassi. "Please. Do what need do." At that last part, her eyes were trained on Asi. If they knew how to heal him, even if it would hurt or leave scars or whatever, she definitely wanted it done. The fact that she hadn't been able to get to him fast enough made her feel like this was her fault, and it made her stomach cringe. A Warden that couldn't even help a single inhabitant from getting a fuckin' ice spike in the stomach. That was unfortunate. [22:53] Kynaston Chasin fetches out his book chained to his belt. It was a handwritten journal that he promptly begins thumbing through. He paused for only a moment to examine the wounded man, before peering back to Asi, his brow perking a bit. And there would be some indication he did not know of such a trick. "That does sound mighty unpleasent though if the other alternative would be to accept death, I am sure it isn't a terrible alternative." His gaze returning to the book and he seemed to have some strange method of fliping through it, turning back a few pages, then checking on another page. He seemed to be mathing and calculating in his mind. He peers over to the demands and wants of Thunder, giving a light nod. "We are here to help as we can, and are permitted to. For what I would be able to do, I am in need of sage, rose hip, hyssop, aloe vera, horsetail, rosemary, chamomile, and I will also be needing honey and some hot water. And I guess in particularly a cutting station and a place to grind herbs. Then [22:53] Kynaston Chasin: move him out, administer what I can to him, then toss him back in here, for Lady Cy to tend to when she can, though I am in need to speak to the Lady Cy, though it would not be to come by a job here of course, as it would conflict with my other interests." He closes the journal with a lite plop. "The same would go for Asi as not being staff within this facility." [22:58] Asi returns all eyes to the calming man on the bed, having been spoken directly to in regards to the tiny being he had seen Jaxon with. "Your lives are short and easily made shorter," he replies forlornly, like he pitied the man and his dying friend but couldn't exactly grasp why it was bad. Even so, capable of being moved and all, he offers a quieter, "If it is deemed acceptable to aid her, then perhaps." He seemed to be awaiting a go ahead to fleshmeld the dying man, looking to Abassi briefly as she was supposedly Cynric's and thus his own boss creature. But she didn't seem to understand. The other woman he didn't know, but... and Cynric was suggesting slightly amusing things. "I like the strange human," he decides, ignoring outright whatever rules may or may not exist that meant exactly nothing to a prettier Olaf. To the bed he moves, bending at at a sharp angle and placing the needly tips of his nails in a circle around the obvious wound. Was just a came of morbid fascinated staring after that, bendin [22:58] Asi: micro structures to it's well so long as moisture exited. There was nothing pleasant about such a trick though, more like being slowly ripped in half, just in reverse (1 of Fleshmelding). [22:59] Jahou calls back voer shoulder after his player has a post clarified to him, "Aye Harbinger, that would be 'er!" [23:12] Thunder seemed .. somewhat satisfied when the blue thing went to help Jaxon. With a little shake of her head, she just.. walked out, ducking through the door frame and exiting the establishment. The guilt was tearing her apart and she needed to get away from the screaming that she felt would be coming soon. (( aka her player was super tired and needed to go to bed like, 3 hours ago and is skipping people so she can go pass out, SORRY. )) [23:12] мαε (corgi): (( Thanks for the roleplay everyone, but legit I need to go to bed like now )) [23:13] Bird Ix'Chirp (jaden.tyles): ((Nini Mae!)) Dieing or not he'd never felt pain like this and be damned he was going to sit and take it quietly, even if it was for his own good. [23:17] Taegen V'hoori (alyxz.marenwolf): [Sorry net cut out. [23:25] Abassi blinked as they shy little wonder wandered over to the bed and she got a confirmation from Jahou, glancing to the door and then to Cynric briefly as he read off an ingredients list. " Nurses!" she snapped her fingers, demanding they listen to him though they seemed pretty miffed at the intrusion but who was going to argue with a wild haired, sword carrying woman under the title of 'Harbinger'? They sure didnt though some sure would. The ladies went to grab the man's requested and Aba's eyes reverted to the elemental, watching him closely and wrinkling her nose at the petname before surprise completely drowned any previous expression. The screams were loud and disorienting, anyone watching closely maybe see something slither under her pants leg before disappearing and she put a thumbs up towards the pair tending to the wounded man. " Ill leave this to ya.. Ill send a boy out ta da Aberwyth Infirmary, letting them know we used supplies and that dere is a patient ere' for dem. I need ta talk to Jagoul." If o [23:25] Abassi she could remember names correctly... she was getting close though! Repetition, repetition! " Excuse me." [23:25] Taegen V'hoori (alyxz.marenwolf): the* [23:26] Taegen V'hoori (alyxz.marenwolf): seen* [23:29] Kynaston Chasin may have been busy examining what herbs and other things he possessed on his person. Some of the more basic herbs he may have had at present, but he hardly had the entire slue of them, and failed to have any honey. Through his searching he looked up to seeing Asi moving closer, giving him a nod to permit his investigation. He was glad to see that the orcish woman seemed somewhat relieved from her clear state of suffering from guilt. But once Jaxon started thrashing around, Cynric dropped the book form his hands - which was still chained to his belt- to hurry across the distance. He slipped around Asi, ensuring not to bump him while he was concentrating, as he seeks to take hold of Jaxon, firm strong hands aiming to restrict his movements, at least until the nurses actually started bringing him the herbal components he had requested. He would promptly dissmiss not being able to aid, to set out to work. A confirming nod given to Abassi, "Thank you for ensuring that I get what I need." And ot [23:29] Kynaston Chasin: not hold her up any.. as now he was busy juggling trying to keep the man from thrashing around too much, while begining to prepair the tincture and salve. - hey thats what sitting on peoples uninjurted chests and using ones lap was for! [23:37] Asi manages to make like water and be fluid in motion, crazy reflex skills being good for simply gracefully moving his hand and arm along the wild dying animal thrashing going on. Movement around him didn't seem to phase him either, if only because being too disturbed from concentrating could potentially turn innards to functioning outtards. Did not keep him silent, though, curiously whispering to whomever listened, "Is this what pain is then? It is interesting to see pain. It is very lively. It is fortunate to feel pain." Wound seemed to be working itself shut from the inside out otherwise, tissue thick and discolored, liable to still cause sporadic pain for the rest of the poor man's life with weather changes and all that. (2/3 Fleshlulz) [23:49] Jahou was taking in the cooler night air, which wasn't saying much because it was still stifling with the humidity as it were. He stared up at the moon almost affectionately as he teetered back and forth on poised hooves. The noise of the commotion within the infirmary had well faded into the background for him, a chaotic situation he felt rather helpless in, hence his departure. He'd scarcely notice in his wandering thoughts the noise of the Harbinger exiting the building and approaching from behind. [23:53] Jaxon (nelu.zuta): Is not so flesh lulz! ITs more Flesh Q_Q 's. Also why yes Asi...this is what the pain was like! Very, very, unfortunate. A full grown man sitting on his chest couldnt keep Jaxon from some how finding air enough to scream. The pain was driving him out of his fucking mind, and when he couldnt reach Asi or the man on top of him the thrashing and the fight had to turn some where. It had him looking like a rabid dog as he clawed the bad, his mouth trying to bite the pillow under his head and his legs kicked out at the foot board of the infirmary bed. Flesh melding ...it felt more like there was a garbage disposal inside his gut and someone flipped on the switch. [23:55] Kynaston Chasin wasn't particularly a worried wart, but primarily did not want to do bad within the isle they had recently arrived. But with the Harbinger's blessing he resolved himself to set about the task and complete it well. It would take him a bit to cut up and blend the herbs, especially given poor working environment of the moving 'seat' beneath him. Knife would be abandoned in favor of ripping and tearing herbs with his fingers to prevent an innocedent, he was rather clumpsy after all. Asi's words did not go missed, but no answer came. He would let the main ride out his pain at present, remaining perched upon his chest. The herbs were being collected into two piles - the sage, rosehip, hyssop, and chamomile in one while the aloe vera, rosemarry, and horsetail in another. As long as Jaxon wasn't distrubting him too much- it appeared he may just be done about the time Asi was finished with his spell. [23:58] Abassi exhaled in sigh as she shut the door securely behind her and stepped out into the night. " Oh ya didn't go very far did ya?" she chuckled and moved to stand beside him, listening to the commotion behind while fingers fumbled for the pipe snugged securely in one of her belt bags. "So ya worked for da Warden's for some time now then?" she inquired in opening small talk while she began to pack the bowl of the pipe with strong smelling herb. [00:02] Jahou would take note of Abassi more clearly when her words touch his ear. He'd swivel head and tilt horns to her with a warm smile, "Nah, figured if anything were needed of me, I might as well be in ear shot. Quiet night otherwise, guards up on the wall don't seem to be calling out anything unusual. " He would roll his shoulders gently, and took moment to give the Harbinger appraisal, she a lady, he a Satyr, though glances he'd normally steal shamelessly were given with far more cautious appraisal since this woman were now a superior to him within the organization he was oath sworn to, which surprising even to Jahou overruled his natural tendencies. . "Aye I number among those who were here when the walls went up miss Abassi. " [00:04] Asi is just so fascinated by the human's pain, not for wishing him ill of course. Just because he didn't understand it. Luckily he was near finished with the mend, soothing a soft, "You will not die today," in the vague hope of making Jaxon feel better. Blood at least had likely stopped pouring forth, replaced by a thick mass of flesh that just seemed to bubble forth, spread enough to pinch all flesh shut, then finally come to a rest. "It is done," he informs the room, withdrawing his hand and standing straight once more, but droopy eyed and a fair bit woobly. "Kynaston, I am depleted. Allow me to rest. Please thank you." (3/3 freshmelts and done) [00:10] Abassi didnt seem to pay much mind to his wandering eyes as she looked out over the Keep and indulged in the color air of the darkness. It was her prime, her natural setting and she felt more comfortable in the shadows. A small nod came at his words, " Aye... I only know basic first aid. Probably should learn more..." she sighed and shrugged, " Should be alright doe.. wit da help of da othahs." The woman reassured though in reality felt no need to care for the man's life or wellbeing. " Oh. I was 'ere den too. Not 'ere ... 'ere but on da isle. Interestin' how thing turn out, yeah?" [00:15] Jahou would smile, "You could have been here here and I might not recollect it, wardens have been many and I still speak to some for the first time after three years since the official formation. But as to you being on the island all this time and suddenly coming into acquisition of of the warden's leadership...? Yes that is quite interesting. " He smirked, "And perhaps suspicious on some level, as I'm sure you can fathom. You seem smart, capable, and of course quite obviously lovely... But why are you here?" he arched a brow towards her. "Though it was you who wished to speak to me, I mean not to sidetrack your intent. " [00:19] Jaxon (nelu.zuta): It gave in, all of him gave in. The pain had been overwhelming. Kyns not so light weight butt on his chest wasnt helping now either, but with everything at a stand still but his body still giving small spasms his body finally took mercy on him and pushed him over the edge and into blissful unconsciousness (Since its like 3:30 am and im tired . Thanks for the rp everyone!) [00:21] Kynaston Chasin combined the ingredents in two seperate ways- making a thick paste out of one using the honey as a base while making more of a tea out of the rest of the ingredents using the hot water as its base. The prepared sage, rose hip, hyssop, and chamomile were placed to seep in the hot water. He gave a nod of confirmation to Asi, "Understood, you may rest, but I am expecting you will return back to the room?" He questioned, before adding in, "I will be headed their shortly" After all he imagined that the fleshmending was no easy feet, but he was fairly tired himself this late at night. The honey blend consisted of the aloe vera, rosemary, and the horsetail. He took up a handfull of it and gooped it onto the freshly healing 'flesh-mended' wound. He made sure to rub it in well, explaining, "This will ensure no infection occurs on the healing flesh, it will also reduce pain and tension to the body, and will decreaese the resulting scar that a wound like this is likely to cause." But by now was speak [00:21] Kynaston Chasin: unconscious man, As for the cup, he finally slipped off of Jaxon, "Drinking this tea, it will greatly diminish pain," He offered it to the nurses for them to give to Jaxon when he awakes. "And this is all I can do for you and wish you well rest." He would pause to look at Asi in sort of a 'I want you to follow' sort of way without demanding it, cleaned up his messed and left from the infirmary- Abassi and Jahou getting a bow in departure- but he did not stop for plesentries.

Resolve 5to6: A Reason beyond Just OneselfCynric comes to the realization that it is not only he himself that could be effected by a mental intrusion, but he also has someone else that he needs to keep in mind, always. He resolves himself to trying to remain my 'hyper aware' of his surroundings and to further improve his own mental resistance to reduce the risk. [11:15] Asi retracts his hand after it's finally released to only settle on his lap with the other one. Quiet and observant, statue still while the human fussed and fidgeted about. "Correct," he replies to latter comments, choosing to ignore the former. "Previously I had been learning and adapting to humanity due to the misguided idea that we were more than what we are. We are not. As stated I can not be what I am not, and you have made your choice. Thus I have or am in the process of purging individuality. I will be what I am, and nothing more. These is little point in false experience and unattainable desires." He would not resist being moved in nearer to Cynric this time, but kept careful in staying fairly limp and unresponsive about it. [11:19] Kynaston Chasin would all but grab Asi rather abruptly into a hug now that the man was already closer and touching against him, “How could you! No, I mean do not rid yourself of individuality. Look see, I was wrong, While did not lie in stating that you are what you are, but again you can still be who you are. You do not have to be like every other puddle of water one might come across. You have the ability of cognitive thought, and can learn, and experience, and gain from it. You hold a personality, so you have individualized yourself. Why would you ever abandon that?” [11:34] Asi flops into the human as he's hugged, and tragically can not repress the startled bubble noise the gesture pulled from him. The poor human's slight panic was kind of cute, a bit pointless given the pond failed to repress it's curious nature, ability to learn, and expression to selectively like other sentients. But still he argues mildly, "There is no point to these things, they are not needed to function to your purposes." Silence follows that remark, for only a few seconds, until a vague sense of contempt rises from the darker waters of it's being. "Besides, Kynaston Chasin, when you can freely dictate all that I do, am, remember, learn, forget, behave, then there is simply no sense in retaining anything. All it would take is a night of spite from you, a changed mind, a seize of your own will by another, and all that I am by self formation could be ripped from me. Tell me, Kynaston Chasin, what positive purpose does it serve to become a me when the me you speak of had fallen in love with a human that returned and then retracted such sentiments making all it had sought to obtain pointless. It is a pond, and it will be no more than a pond. Do not seek to confuse it further." [11:41] Kynaston Chasin kept a hold of Asi, though the intensity of it would loosen a bit as Asi spoke, and eventually his fingers would begin a slow stroking motion. “Perhaps, if all I seek is a comrade to fight by my side, and to follow closely my goals and own ambitions, and to hold a willingness to lay ones life down for my cause. But I have also made a request that we may establish closeness and that our friendship may be enhanced over time. If you are mindless, without feeling, without emotion, without individuality.. if you fail to be unique, if you fail to be yourself, and only be what you are and not a who.. then you fail to provide me with something I can befriend, and something I can be close with.” His words were with feeling, with emotion, a warmth exuding from him for something he cared for. “As for the rest of it, I did not mean to retract, to reject, to confuse, but primarily I had permitted myself to do something that I aught not have done. And it worried me, and it alarmed me, and I realiz to far and should not have allowed or permitted it..” [11:59] Asi felt confused and out of sorts anyway, it did not take much to feel so no matter how quietly he acted about it. Annoyed with himself for relaxing, annoyed further as it was hard to combat such statements of desiring friendship and that being unattainable if he all but made himself an inanimate object. "If all you believe yourself to have been doing was indulging in a taboo, then you should not have made any references to any relationship made emotions with it," he counters, and finally may have a note of sadness to his tone as he saught to move away again. "Foolish thing. I engaged and encouraged your pathetic sense of societal lack of morals willingly. They were enjoyable experiences, and they were fine to hem and haw annoyingly over. But our encounters were /not/ merely left physical, Kynaston Chasin. You are an /asshole/ for making declarations of affection and retracting them. And I am a /fool/ for believing and reciprocating. You wish to feel 'naughty', so be it. But lie no more to me on love, and I will be your 'friend'. Only. And resume my interests in humanity and developments without you as the the source to it. I did not create a love for you merely because you summoned me, I did so from interest and observation, because even I am capable of seeing a sub par relationship partner when it presents itself. You are that, Kynaston Chasin, and I made the conscious choice to choose you anyway." [12:07] Kynaston Chasin spoke in a soft hopeful tone after Asi had finished his words- having remained silent to listen to the pond’s expressions, “Though your own fears are valid, it is troublesome to think that you could alter and change so readily upon a demand. I can not promise you I will not ever in a rage say something I meant not to say, but if it’s a worry of others manipulating you through me.. I will just have to strive harder to ensure I do not fall prey to the influences of others, so that they may never hurt you in such a way through me.. and in that way I will be the sole one to blame. I will even actively seek to make sure I remain aware of such outside influences.” He brushed a finger beneath Asi’s cheek, staring into the seeming man’s eyes, “But it is true that I am in love with you. I feel strongly about you, I hold emotions towards you, you brighten my world. I am just thinking that despite you permiting and allowing.. that I did something I still should not have done. I suppose prior to that was fine, but I lost restraint.. and I am unsure of how well I could contain myself, if we continued into such acts again.” He twirls his fingers into Asi’s hair, giving light gentle pulls. “I care not to be a sub par partner. I wish to excel.. but I do feel naughty, and do admit that I am a fool and an asshole, and I am glad you have the ability to recognize such.”

Resolve 5-to-6: Sometimes it isn't about one's own wants.Cynric has always been pretty focused on himself. Most of the things he does has some manner of personal gain to him but over the course of months he has been growing more attuned to the needs and wants of Asi. And while it does not come natural for him to take true interest in Asi's actual wants that do not have much direct benefit to Cynric, he has decided to resolve himself to caring more. At least for Asi's sake. [09:37] Asi has found a more shallow version of himself appeared without question or warning, and so the only logical thing to do about this is perch in the water and bask. [09:41] Kynaston Chasin had followed Asi down to the pool of water that had appeared near to their inn room. He spent only but a moment unstrapping his boots before wadding into the water himself after Asi – though did not seem to have as much intention on fully laying down and wallowing in the water. “This is a pleasant surprised. I must have slept through the rain storm last night.” [09:51] Asi seemed particularly gleeful himself to be rolling in the shallow water, at being wet or not hardly mattered to him. There may even be times when he seemed to 'vanish' just to rise again like a wave and materialize it's human form again. Naturally, once he's done playing he makes his solidifying way back to Cynric, peering over the vicinity briefly before trying to fold the human's head for kiss planting. [10:05] Kynaston Chasin was probably watching Asi with somewhat of a fascination like watching a fish or a dolphin playing about in the surf… practically creating surf. Asi did almost seem to disappear multiple times, and it made him chuckle. “Hmmm you are within your element.” He said almost in a jokingly serious way before Asi appeared back before him seeming to be seeking affections that Cynric would not deny him. He wraps his arms around the man, pulling him a bit closer not overly seeming to mind the wetness. [10:26] Asi would not understand the joke, of course, only nodding to agree that he was indeed in his element. His present interests had much more to do with his human now, all but caging the man's head in oversized hands as he covered the human in moist kisses and damp hugs. "Cynric. Would you teach me hobbies?" he asks the man, a bit wide eyed as he gingerly, very gently, touches a claw to a painted eyelid. "But perhaps it is pointless to know a pointless skill. I desire to immortalize you." [10:32] Kynaston Chasin was trapped within the hold of Asi, though it seemed like a caging that he permitted and was fine with. Though Asi’s wetness and the moist kisses would do well to dampen the hair and get bits of it to fall down messy. He smiled softly, working his own lips against placed on Asi he could kiss, the neck, chin, and so forth. “Hobbies? I am none to keen on actual hobbies myself beyond picking of herbs and the likes. Though I did want to see about endulging in hobbies such as soap making, that might be something amusing to do with the herbs we collect.” He held himself particularly still when Asi’s sharp nails begin to touch over the green hued paint he wore about his eyes. His lashes fluttering a bit from the touching. “Speaking of hobbies though, I would like to take on finding the magic shop soon, to begin working on coming about a new spell.” [10:44] Asi slowly strokes his hands down and off the handsome mage's face, preferring to wrap arms around the man's waist and hide his face against his shoulder. "I will discover a hobby," he replies soft, perhaps less so interested in soaps though he would do them for Cynric. "May I learn something of my own?" he rephrases slowly, a bit guarded, unsure if he was stepping out of line at that point. "Not that I am uninterested in soaps and aiding you n learning new spells," he adds on. [10:50] Kynaston Chasin adjusted himself to be taken within Asi’s arms where he still held no grounds for trying to get away from the man. “Sure, if you are so seeking to want to learn something of your own, this is permissible. I suppose it is always good to have hobbies and find some simple joy in ones life. Especially for as long as I hold you bounded to me, you essentially live a more mortal life. Do you have any thoughts on what it is that you would like to seek to do?” [11:00] Asi keeps pressing and pushing himself into his human, slowly, but perhaps noticeably, literally molding his form against the man. Then buggling with some excitement, hair curing and relaxing in mini waves as he leans back to give Cyn his brightest smile. "I want to art," he breaths. "Yes, I want to make the colorful things on the stretched papers. I want to imprint your face on one. Or perhaps I want to smash earth into shapes of my liking. I am unsure! Maybe write? I need to learn how to... write. And read. The tiny scratches forming lines into of various sized lines in larger tines that consume the books." [11:07] Kynaston Chasin did not at all seem to notice at first the tenaciousness of Asi’s pushing.. but his entire body would perfectly be pushed to mold around the other’s body, though after some continuation he would lose his footing and be forced to step back. His mind was becoming a bit deluded at present, a warmth trickling through his body making it harder to concentrate on Asi – but he endeavored to keep his mind off such things, “Ah, you mean similarly to what it is that I do from time to time.. though I had not really thought it of a hobby.” He fetched out his hand written journal, to thumb open to a particular page where one could see that it had herbs and flowers very well drawn out to determine which herbs were which- though the journal in itself lacked color, and only substituted with arrows and words indicating colors and textures. [11:15] Asi might have been on his way to literally enveloping Cyn in his own body like weird sentient armor. But luckily for the human, the talk of hobbies and retrieval of a book delighted the pond into letting go completely so it could admire Cyn's book. "Yes, this. I need to learn this," he agrees, trying to gently touch the book in question. "Ah I... but this is practical to know. I mean less practical as well. I will learn, and then I will show you," he continues on, sort of nervousness at his claws then. "Yes. I am going to be a wife." [11:20] Kynaston Chasin wasn’t too particularly caring for the ‘finer things of life’ in regarding other people. But Asi, he did actually care enough about to want to listen and take fascination in such discussions as hobbies. He at least came to the conclusion that he cared enough to –try- to pay attention and show interest in Asi’s own ‘interests’. It actually took some amount of resolve to keep his focus, as his body and mind were want to wonder off to other topics or things that more greatly directly impacted Cynric beyond how learned and artsy his summoned element was. He permitted Asi to touch near the book, though he would not allow the water elemental to touch it for too long of a span of time, presumably to save the pages from collecting too much moisture before he slide it a bit out of reach. Asi’s words made him drop the book, but luckily it was still attached to its chain and only swung at the side of his hip. “What?” He said a bit harshly, nervously, before permitting a laughter t [11:20] Kynaston Chasin: “Ah, right, anyways hobbies, yes, that is swell. Very swell. We shall have to go see about getting you some materials of your own.” [11:34] Asi sadly seemed to be boring the human with it's ever increasing interests in becoming a 'real person'. All attempts, of course, loosely based on experience it did not particularly understand. Even so, it wasn't completely socially inept, and would belatedly catch on to being humored more than listened to. "I am going to be a wife," he repeats, sterner now, "I am /already/ halfway there, Kynaston Chasin. I do the stray things it is deemed good and proper for such a creature to do. All that I miss is a pregnant. I will obtain a pregnant," he informs, large claws fanned dramatically, "Hobbies, and skills, ruined dreams, ignored thoughts, dismissed emotions, and a pregnant. I will acquire these and become a wife to you." [11:38] Kynaston Chasin sort of eyes Asi with a sort of expression that Asi might have just told Cynric he was going to rid the sky of the moon. “Right, yes, you will be one day,” he finally stated, seeming very uncertain of what else he aught to have said instead. He sort of chuckles at the pregnant comment as was prompted to take Asi back in his arms to give the man a squeeze and a kiss to the cheek. “I am sure if you so seek to obtain one, you will.” As he could not at this time bring himself to crush the dreams of the man.. all to quick to remember the days Asi was dead of the mind. “One should not seek to achieve ruined dreams, ignored thoughts, and dismissed emotions. These are negative things that generally only come about from following dreams, expressing thoughts, and holding emotions that one wants to share.”

Resolve 5-to-6: The meeting of EarthCynric gets to meet an earth elemental that shares a lot of similarities to Asi, while bearing the element that Cynric is most fund of. Speaking of fields and earth, Cynric is reminded that he had a small handful of unknown herbs that were mushed together so decided to eat it. It appeared they were not poisonous though. [10:12] Asi may begin to look a bit nervous himself the more erratically Cynric behaves. Second bucket of water discarded and all now to be held beneath where he was perched. "You are unwell?" he asks of Cynric whilst dutifully providing water from the little thinning waterfalls his 'hair' created. Still worried, likely to stay so for Cyn's sake. But a familiar voice gets his attention, causes his head to jerk up and water to fly about as he gasps a sound more like waves and wriggles claws back. "Ah it is the one that may or may not be fae, or may or may not be cousin. Hello!" [10:14] Kynaston Chasin was too involved within the sounds of the trickling of water that it took him some moments to hear the earthen notes of anothers approach. “I am not unwell, just in need of some water… which as you can see you are providing me with. I had only thought.. something different. But this is fine and well.” He paused in his strangeness of dancing beneath the water fall with the bucket – ever seeking to fill it. He smiled softly, recognizing the man from the other day at the tavern. “Good morning, “ He was beginning to say, when Asi’s erratic movements caused him to become splashed with water. [10:20] Forest Pond (paradoxical.mode) dropped the heavy appendage back to his side when Asi reciprocate greeting. The second voice came without Forest realizing there was another party. He clapped a few more heavy steps around the well to spot the other gentleman. "And a good morning to you, sir." He greeted quickly before rising over the stone base of the well in their mutual direction. Pausing a pair of paces away from Cynric, Forest's gaze ascended once again to Asi while he splashed water down below. "You can make rainfall dear one? How wonderful!" He chimed once again with glee. [10:29] Asi desperately attempts to divide his attention betwixt sating at Cynric with incredulous worry, and at the entity he could not decide was like him or not giddily. Cynric would win out, of course, since he splashed the mage and all and did not believe the man not ill. "Do we need to acquire medicinal plant matter? I did not mean to splash you, I will cease," he asks, then states, the flow of water from his head ceasing, tightening, mimicking hair once more so nobody got splashed when he jumped from the roof. "I can make rain!" he announces, quite pleased with himself, "As all of we can of water, we let the sky borrow from us. It does not always give it back, of course, it is rude." Info for them both! And two hands stretched, one to offer Forest, the other to try touching Cyn's brow with. "I was named Llyr'maris Asichel. But Asi is easiest for all. You are Dear Forest, correct?" [10:36] Kynaston Chasin was busy with the task of drying himself off, at least from the dripples that had splashed across his face. He as particularly keen to dap carefully around the green paint about his eyes. His hues watched Forest closely as he approached but otherwise did not seem timid or to have much thought on personal space. It only made him all the more curious. He sucked in his lower lip, chewing a bit on it as Forest seemed to take higher interest in Asi, instead of Cynric himself. This was something he was not all to unfamiliar with- as Asi’s strange looks often garnished him more attention. But he was far from discouraged when Asi jumped from the roof and sought him out. The touch to his brow garnishes a touch back to Asi’s finger tips, as well as a laugh. “I am well, I assure you. You need not worry further.” He gave an indication back to Forest to show a –I do not mind- sort of mannerism in regards to Asi getting to met him. “And I am Cynric, once guardian of the fields and harvester [10:36] Kynaston Chasin: in a far off place to the east.” [10:46] Forest Pond (paradoxical.mode) listened with a palpable fascination as Asi spoke both to his caretaker and of the matter of his kind and ability. He gaze bounced back and forth between Cynric and Asi for several moments, almost silently asking ' are you seeing this?' Breaking into conversation as soon as they'd both spoken, Forest replied while they doted on one another. "How wonderful it must be. Nothing borrows from earth. Though some of us more prone to wanderlust get carried away by excitable rivers." Accepting their names with a polite, more refined and subdued bow he spoke again. "That is a lovely name. I shall save it for a place more suiting. Asi. And yes, I am so named. Much more...common. But it suits me, I think." Vacillating back to Cynric, Forest looked upon him thoughtfully. "It is a pleasure to meet you both more formally. Is it nice in the East? It is nice here, I think. But if I've come to understand not all places are like this island." [10:58] Asi notes no fever from the human, as he still did not fully believe Cynric's saying he was well until investigated personally. Then he was finally satisfied, bemused, and maybe slyly attempting to wheedle way too long ice like nails behind Cyn to nudge him nearer to Forest. Clearly they held earth in common, instant besties. "That is not true, Forest, and yet is. We can not borrow what you freely give and do not request back. It is the earth that fuels fires, it is the earth that cradles waters, and it is earth that gives air a reason to be huffy," he lulls back, for it was the epitome of silly of Earth to not think more grandly of itself. "If anything, it is fire that is a bitch. Fire and air together, they are too restless and do not like to be kind. Fire more so than air." [11:02] Kynaston Chasin smiled a bit, being nudged some at the point of sharp claws a bit closer towards Forest. “I often borrow from that which is grown from the earthen soils. I am a bit of a herbologist, and herbal alchemist, and enjoy many aspects of the herbs. It is thanks to the earth, and too the water, for ensuring that there is a good harvest.” His hand trails down the back of Asi before he pulls out a small pouch of various herbs he had gathered- but they were ill kept, crushed at the moment and there as no certainty to what herbs he held. “Though sometimes I take to understand and forget to well document it and just get this.. a cluster of herbs.” He laughs, shrugging. It was unfortunate that they had been crushed together. He nods at Asi’s mention of fire and air. “It is of the earthen element that I hold my heart set most upon.” [11:12] Forest Pond (paradoxical.mode) nodded once before gently shrugging, finding keen and not easily disputed logic in their combined statements. "I said it first to Moura. And I say it again to you both in comfort. Earth has no will, only a place." The harsher words passed against volatile fire came to Forest with a small touch of displeasure. "Fire is not all bad. Self-absorbed...childish really. Fire thinks of only itself. But if not for fire, soil would grow ill with age. Harvests would become less plentiful, until they disappeared entirely. Air however...I hold little fondness for. Mercury revels in Air's ideology, vapid and changing. But it poisons itself." Forest shook his head with a soft crunch resonating from himself as he did so. Returning his attentions to Cynric and his pouch of herbs, Forest spoke again. "Darling plants and herbs. I am not as knowledgeable on them as I'd like to be. But I know healthy plants can only come from healthy soil. Earth remembers all of its children. We speak fondly of you." [11:23] Asi sidles back more for Cynric's side for the want to as well as it being a natural gesture betwixt them. Constant orbiting, and holding no real knowledge of plants himself to the scale Cynric did, contributes not. "I am sure Fire and Air curse us as well, Forest, though it is likely you are right in that none of us should speak ill of another. Mortal things, sentient or not, all need air and if they had none we would not stand and debate and engage in the interesting anomalies of individuality and free will, yes? That is their gift to us. I am enjoying the experience of singularity thus far, though it is often complicated and illogical." Even so, he had to laugh about it and idly clutch to Cynric's arm in the silent blame of the mage for 'gifting' such things to him. "Ah, but I am sorry. Perhaps you always held a humanoid form? I am uncertain if Earth does or not." [11:28] Kynaston Chasin frowns a bit at the man’s statement, especially as it was spoken with conviction that led Cynric to believe that was how he truly felt. Cynric could probably say nothing to the difference. Earth did his will when commanded. And if Asi had not answered his call, he would probably have ended up with an earth elemental that held no will against him. “You are correct, in your words of Fire. As I am knowing well enough that the fields and forest growth need to be burned on occasion. It also helps in the long run to protect against diseases.” He gave Asi a light squeeze as his arm was clutched before slinking his arm out just long enough to rid himself of the herbs by tossing them into his own mouth. He began to chew on them as he returned his arm into Asi’s grasp. “I suppose it is not much unlike what villagers do when they grow bored and restless.. or without a current task of the day… or even while working a task if it does not require too much attention. Gossiping, Asi. It is a n [11:28] Kynaston Chasin: for those of human forms to do.” [11:29] Kynaston Chasin rolls R5 (CC:bb06): 64, To determine poisonus effects of herbs. [11:29] Prohawk HUD: Rolled R5: (1-150):64 Max (Nominal/Actual):100/150 Bonus (Nominal/Actual):50/0 [11:40] Forest Pond (paradoxical.mode) had no twinge or coloring of dishonesty in his words. In truth he'd not yet encountered a situation where lying would've been beneficial. At least, not that he knew of. "You are correct, dear Asi. Much though Air vexes me, it is because of air that we have sound. And so on, ad nasuem." Forest balanced his gaze between the two, peering off briefly before returning. "Well yes. Singularity is...a strangely fascinating condition. But I do not regret it. Without such experience, I'd nary have an idea of what it might be to meet one such as yourself, Asi. Or you Cynric. " Pausing, he gestured his stone wrapped hand to the both of them in kind. "Oh no. This humanoid costuming is entirely new to me. An old flame of my caretaker. She blames herself for his death. Through me, she gave him new life." His speech cut short as he watched Cynric toss the handful of herbs into his mouth. It wasn't surprising or alarming. He had no idea what they might be, nor that the behavior was out of the ordinary for him or for [11:40] Forest Pond (paradoxical.mode): anyone. [11:57] Asi bubbles with some excitement, though he may have lost track of the conversation at large once Cynric decides to cram plant matter into his face. That tended to typically mean nothing good. "We would meet in the collective aspect, but not recognize each other in singularity. In this fashion we can determine friendships, I think, so even as we 'die' we may yet know the humanoid sentience that shaped us," he burbles back to Forest, whom as far as he could tell did manage to manifest a persona of his own. The gestured stone hand, of course, needs to be tapped at with claws in some fascination. "I see, I understand. I was simply a pond before, and I recall the abstract of existence from it. Were you more stone than earth and wood?" [12:00] Kynaston Chasin though he had the distinct look that he was eating on something that did not have much of an appealing taste- he seemed to take no effects to the strange mixture of potentially poisonus herbs. But what did capture his attention was Forest’s word. Once Asi had a moment to observe, tap at, prod the hand Forest held out, Forest’s own hand promptly taken into his own gloved hands, giving a strong shake, “I did not even know that was possible. To reconstruct a body in such a way to give it new life. Though I imagine you are much changed from her old beloved… that I can only matter that causes… complications, in ones partnership. Though I do distrinctly recall Asi even mentioning that he was a product of my own wants in reguards to what form he was ultimately ment to take. I wonder than had I thought strongly on a somebody.. if it would be them.. their body.. I would see before me now.” [12:18] Forest Pond (paradoxical.mode) made no attempt to reclaim his extended appendage as they studied it. He'd aid them in truth, flexing the golem-like feature. The massive slab's face, bore a resemblance to a shield, and on close inspection of the underside could be seen as having a noticeable seam. Forest nodded and understood the planar trespassing concepts Asi spoke in effect of perfectly. "I'm beginning to think you're entirely correct. I do wonder what will happen should I return. It is an alien place by comparison...a strange sort of ethereal servitude, but not as severe as it is made here. It is...difficult to quantify." Asi's question demanded the Elemental pressure his mind for any deep recollection of what he had been before he was called. "I was vast...and slumbering when called. There were others like me, but they all slept. I recall it all taking much from me." Glancing at his own shoulders, Forest paused before become privy to sudden recall. "I was a cave. Rich in mineral deposits. Deep in the ground." Forest of course was [12:18] Forest Pond (paradoxical.mode): named for where he'd been born, and not where he'd been. His attention alternated to Cynric again and he came to look at him with a placid expression. "I suppose if you'd asked me and I'd not had such an experience, I'd believe the same. But how it occurred is a matter wrapped in all the strange trappings that these matters tend to be. I wasn't invented for the Fae. I was called. I adopted the form she surrendered to me. I stitched the life back together with stone. As for her beloved, I can only guess. Her memory is rose colored. Lovely, but not as telling as it is short. I can confirm, if it not for her want for me to be him...I'd not appear as I do." [12:30] Asi retracts and shifts backwards for Cynric again, once more touching the backs of fingers to the mage's brow to check for fever. Having no idea what the man ate and all, the potential hilarity to follow could be a number of things. "It is amusing to attempt to make thoughts into coherent words," he muses bright eyed with Forest as he checks Cynric again, "But you say as I explained to Cynric before. There is a measure of choice in spite of what becomes of us if a call is heeded. In this fashion we are wholly willing, for another cousin could have answered faster, as they could have avoided a call entirely. I think, or perhaps it was only me, I was very curious of humanoids. A multi generational family claimed my pond as property, I saw many of them. I think, ah, I think it was my own eagerness that made me heed a call meant for earth. Your given form is sad, Dear Forest, I hope for the sake of you she does not eventually resent your face. But if she would, perhaps you can be taught the face changing [12:30] Asi: spell." [12:36] Kynaston Chasin did not have any deep thought to put in to the conversation that was beyond his ability to grasp- having been born into being a singularity. He did however find that Forest’s body was much like Asi’s own.. in just being bazaar by nature and appearance. And clearly fascinated by the thought the man wore someone else’s face. When Asi backs up to him though he almost seemingly automatically extended his own arm to wrap about the man’s waist, pulling him in a bit closer as Asi tended to checking his temperature. He felt fine to the touch. “I am well,” he repeats again, this time laughing. “But I understand more of what you had been telling me when spoken from the lips of another that holds similar thoughts and feelings, and explanations. But I assure you you wear not the face of anyone that has ever came before my life prior to you….” His words trailed off a bit, as he did have to realize that Asi held at least some resemablances to Dr. Chel. “Not intentionally at least, an [12:36] Kynaston Chasin: not holding the figure of someone from my past, though I am sure you have taken bits and pieces from previous experiences.” [13:04] Asi finally stops fussing at his mage, as Cynric did indeed seem to escape from ill effects that may have befallen him. Thus contents to linger where he was, staying in Cyn's hold if the man kept it, or idly satelliting him if not. "It matters not to me if I have a face you decided not to divulge the original ownership of, Kynaston Chasin. Purposefully of not. It is now /my/ face, I have since and gradually altered it to suit myself weeks after creation." Seeming rather self determined on that, he adds on softer, as he tries to gravitate behind the 'fae', "Whatever your intents and thoughts, my Kynaston, I created myself based loosely upon your ideas. I am self aware and separate enough now to argue as much, and that is the proof of this." With that he gestures vaguely towards Forest, implying the silent belief that given some time he, too, would do the same. Slowly but surely, as earth was want to do.

Resolve 5-to-6: Quailing the Social Adept disbelieve In this episode... Asi has found a new place to live for our favorite traveling duo! Our little social in-adept Asi. Surely there has been some mistake here? But look how cute and excitable he is! Cynric decides to bite his tongue and endure what he believes to be the truth... to not crush Asi's excitement. [14:38] Asi was, of course, an exceptionally excited thing when he brought Cynric to the wee cabin below the main village. Just a square little building, clearly not grand, but nonetheless practically dragged the mage to and inside it by the arms. [14:48] Kynaston Chasin had not a clue what Asi was going on about – what had excited the man, and led to something of a drag through town. It wasn’t that Cynric was unwilling to come along, as by this point his curiosity had been perked into wanting to find out what was going on- but he still held some slower steps, along with some questioning that was never quite a command to be told. But when they neared the cabin, he paused outside, “Asi, you can not just enter into someone elses home, unless you are in the process of bedding them.. in which case than it is usually permissiable unless they are a mistress or the likes where they are having an affair and married or bedding another in which case coming in on them is generally not the best idea.” He proclaimed as he was dragged in. [14:59] Asi more than likely just giggled and laughed and politely refrained from answering questions directly. Trying out the whole 'surprise' thing as it were, which seemed to be working rather nicely. Cynric may notice, after his initial cute lil spazzing, that the home might just already conctain a few of his personal belongings mingled with leftovers from the prior owner. "It is a good thing then that this home belongs to you, and that I am the mistress, right?" he counters after the man explains tho whole 'knock first' bit without actually telling him to knock. A half second of an awkward pause later he stomps a foot forward, initiates jazz hands and chimes, "Surprise! We have acquired a shelter!" [15:04] Kynaston Chasin was quick to spot his own stuff amongst the various items about the little cabin. They had been in storage at their previous location but he was not so soon to not recognize him. His mouth gapped open in sort of a ‘What’ manner, as his wide eyes looked between Asi and the rest of the stuff about the cabin. “Uh huh.” He said in somewhat of a confused manner, before stating, “If this were my cabin than yes, I suppose that would make you the mistress of the house, But I am really unsure of how you came about acquiring shelter.” He chuckles. “Or did you just randomly storm in here and decided you wanted to live in here?” He would seek to take hold of the man. [15:16] Asi was all but aglow and quite proud of himself for their new little home, where he was quite sure he was decorating nicely for the mage. Even moved ahead to artfully adjust a few things on the large and littered cabinet set ahead, half climbed on top of it and stretching to push a potted plant before Cynric's incredulous statements stops him. "A round man in a decorated robe was tapping a sign out, and I became curious and investigated. He said then that it was a home for sale, he was lord of lands and could sell the home, but i informed him my cousins of the land may not be so amused at being..... no matter, all of that. I told him you were Very Important, Practically a Prince of the Wood and that I was your courtesan and huscarl. He gave me an odd ook, but he did sell it to me for a trinket I've kept around a while. Said it covered half the costs, and we may work the rest." [15:18] Second Life: Items successfully shared. [15:23] Kynaston Chasin could atleast tell by how Asi was acting that the element was far more than happy and suited within. But still there was a strange creeping feeling welling inside of him as to how his elemental had came by owning an establishment. It was probably his job to provide such things, not his summoned element. And it was a weird concept to him, that only made him doubtful. But he could tell from the look of Asi that this was not a moment to lay to crush social standings- that perhaps he did grasp and understand the general concept of. He took a deep breath, resolving himself to a more eager and enthusiastic disposition as opposed to berating the man for a potential social misunderstanding. “And you did all of that? Well that does sound like quite the conversation, and truly if you must have told him all that than it must truly be true that you have came to aquire the place for us.” He smiles softly, still wondering how big of a fall back this would actually have when the owners of the home ca [15:23] Kynaston Chasin: there was otherwise some realization that Asi had been doped or misunderstood something. “It is a very nice place.” [15:38] Asi was naturally telling the truth, simply because the thought process required to lie so elaborating on his own just didn't exist for him. Lying for Cynric as instructed by Cynric was easy, hence securing a home. "Of course I did all of that, there is little point to saying I did if I did not," he replies as he slides back off the counter to scamper for the chairless desk next. "Furniture, this is a different matter. I will find ways to acquire them, of course. And look! A well just outside for me! Perhaps I will paint the walls, we can create enough pigments for such a thing, can we not? Ah, and there is no place to store your sustenance adequately yet," he chatters on as he zooms for the lackluster kitchen area, sad compared to the communal one at the Inn. "Kynaston, you are pleased then? I thought to find a palace first, but a prince of the wood should be content enough with, ahm. A fancy box."
[15:45] Kynaston Chasin chuckles at Asi’s explaination, giving a nod. He indeed concluded that it was too elaborate of a lie to have been cocoted by Asi, though it still brought the validity of this towns man into question. He simply just shrugged. “You have done well than, Asi. I am sure this place will suit well though it is a shame it is not large enough for all the luxuries we had at the old place.. however that one was not wholly just our own as there was always signs of others within the area. It is probably best to leave the well.. well colored though.. as it is not part of our property, simply just near out property. Does not change the fact that you can play in it as you would like.” He staggers a bit over to the desk, placing a hand upon it and leaning over a bit, with an exaggerated look. His lashed twitching a bit. “I am pleased.” He said in a breathier tone, sighing sofly and trailing his tongue over his lips. “We will just have to find Lady Cy this time for sure to set ourselves up as a

Charming Mein: With a Scroll it begins!Cynric and Asi stumble upon the Magic Shop. They meet the wonderful Mistress Windstar :cough:... Merialeth... along with two other odd people. One whom shots swans to see them get healed, sadistic isn't it? And one whom goes by the title of Captain but seemed more interested in staring off. Scroll for Charming Mein was achieved. [17:43] Kynaston Chasin despite having been to the new location of the Keep, he rather got lost on his way in intentions of heading off to it. His feet lead him on the familier path towards the old keep... and all the while he seemed pretty sure of where he was going and why he was going there. At last though he arrived in front of a cute little shop, and sort of stared at it. Soon he stared back at Asi. "This does not look familier. I do not quite remember this building..." He hooks his finger into the corner of his mouth, shifting his eyes around. "Actually, I do not know where we are." He admited, gave a shrug. "I guess I could see if anyone is home to ask?" Even as the words were coming out of his mouth,- and too did his wet finger as he took to knocking on the door. [17:44] Merialeth Windstar (caireannliadan) was humming under her breath again, her fingers dancing over the table as she pulled together components. Her brows furrowed and the Magic, it seemed, working as much as she did while she poured contents into a short row of bottles. The fruity smell of strawberries in the air as she sniffed appreciatively and topped up the last of the contents before tugging free a row of corks and plopping into each bottle in turn as she motioned a finger one at a time, til each was corked solidly. Her next movements were... quickly interrupted, the dancing row of bottles crashing to the counter as the door was shoved open and her name was called in a rush. Spinning on her toes, the scent of blood quickly overriding the scent of the berries as she'd turn on her toes quickly and step forward to grasp the banister and peer below "Yes, yes I'm here, what's amiss, who's hurt?" For that sound of panic and the scent were too immistakable to mean anything else. As Meri's eyes fell on the figures below and the bundle of feathers and beak, her gaze flashed wide and her body went stock-still. Even -knowing- it couldn't be one [17:44] Merialeth Windstar (caireannliadan) of her own, the sight still paused her a moment and it'd take the heart a second or two of silence before it'd jump to a start again and Meri'd breathe once more "Tell me what's happened, quickly..." She'd offer, her usual musical tones, grown dark as she nearly flew down the stairs and to the table. It wasn't the animal itself, Meri was the omnivorous sort of Elf, it was the lack of -need- that hardened her voice. [17:47] Merialeth Windstar (caireannliadan): (gr, sorry - just caught your post - lemme add a lil) [17:48] The Auguriis Magic and Oddities Shop: As you walk into the Auguriis, you are hit with an estrangement of different scents that are spread across the store; multiple herbs and magical ingredients, the occasional love potion, old books and scrolls, leather. An overly energetic and perky blonde haired male, Damien, is currently attending the store. Organizing and cleaning to his hearts content! Those with a magical ability will be able to sense that this store has been warded against thieves. [Any and all attempts to damage or steal from this property should be directed to the owner or an Admin.] [17:49] Merialeth Windstar (caireannliadan) hadn't noticed the sound of the door at first, presence before her taking all her attention, but it'd sink in belatedly and she'd call out "Come in..." somewhat distractedly though her gaze was fixed on Cedar and the bundle before her [17:53] Lιттle Ƭree (cedar.ashland) situated the swan atop the table, for a swan it surely appeared to be when it was laid prone for inspection and not held cradled within her arms. A hand stroked along the bird's bill with a cooing noise from Cedar meant to soothe and to calm, but she let her gaze drift away finally as Meri was heard. For Cedar, the knocking at the door was ignored, if only because a matter of life and death - and guilt - laid before her and she nodded approvingly for the rush of the elf to come aid, and recounted to her the issue, quite dutifully. "I shot it down wi' me arrow, Meri." The words were very matter of fact. She stepped aside when Meri came near, allowing the woman whatever room might be needed to give aid, and she went on. "Crystiel said as it'd be a guid idea ta find animals as were injured wi'in tha forests in the learnin' o' the spell, aye? On account o' holdin' sympathies wi' their plight. So I trekked along an' choose this pretty so's I migh'nt jus' practice a while -- an' when I realised I wasna [17:53] Lιттle Ƭree (cedar.ashland): close a'tall ta castin' the spell, brought it 'ere straight away." [17:55] Asi more or less just followed Cynric around dutifully, as their being lost was of no actual concern to him. "It is better than barging in, in case they are married and have a mistress over," he parrots in agreement, perhaps not quite understanding today's lesson. "I will check, there is a window. I will inform of any morally ambiguous copulating, Prince Chasin." But just as he was about to step around to the front of the building for pressing his face to glass, a stoned sounding voice invites them in. So he walks in to a woman doing odd things to a pretty but clearly unwell bird. [17:58] Kynaston Chasin had not particularly heard the murmurs of commotion from within over his own dismay at not having reached the keep this particularly evening. But the called out means of entrance did not go unheard. "Ah, rather odd." He remarked, before grining at Asi, "So you do listen to me from time to time. This is assuredly nice to know." He pays a compliment to the man, having not quite grasped the misinterpreation and thought instead it a play on words, which in turn rewards the man with a pat to his shoulder. He was still not entirely sure they had arrived at a shopat least not till the door was open and he sashayed his way on in. Once greeted with a shop like setting, his mind snapped it into place. "And so explains the overly cute building with the cute glass window." Spotting others within, he clears his voice, "Greetings, I do hope we are not intruding..." as it did seem they were busy at present. [18:03] The Auguriis Magic and Oddities Shop: Touched. [18:03] Merialeth Windstar (caireannliadan) just stared... Stared at Cedar, then the poor swan, then Cedar again. Though in a strange sort of way she understood the woman's logic, she was too taken aback to even think of how to explain or berate her. The poor thing hadn't asked for this. The Song already coming to her mind as she just shook her head at Cedar, the softly-spoken "I... .. I'm quite sure that was -not- what the woman meant..." She'd met Crystiel after all, and knowing the diminutive fae, there was -no- way she would have suggested such. "Let me fix her and then we will talk." She'd offer to Cedar, then dropped into her casting, though the irony of Healing a poor swan was... just far too much. The door finally opening and the entrance of the two men met with only a quick glance over her shoulder, and barely even that. The rush of Magic pulling and coalescing as Meri's lips parted to hum and fill the air with Song.... her fingers shifting over the swan's form and staring at the wound displayed, her hands starting to glow and the question posed of if they were interrupting? If it couldn't be determined already, well... Meri'd s [18:03] Merialeth Windstar (caireannliadan) shake her head softly and just focus. (Cure Wounds 1/2) [18:08] Lιттle Ƭree (cedar.ashland) stepped even more away and turned her attention from the swan, to Meri - for if she meant to cast the damned spell, Cedar'd watch how it was done in hopes of replicating its effect. But the subtle and soft admonition was not missed by the fae and the pertness of her ears drooped the slightest bit with the corners of her mouth pulling down even more. "Weel then I'm no' sure /what/ i'twas she meant fer me ta do," Cedar said just as quietly and slightly annoyed - after all, she wouldn't have normally bothered shooting a swan. "Jus' ... /wait/ aroun' wi' me thumb up my arse, hopin' some wounded animal'd come boundin' me way?" As others came walking through the doorway, Cedar turned a glance towards them both and quirked a brow that was given with a shrug. "Jus' learnin'." [18:16] Asi may be looking to Cynric for social cues after they're both in the building, but only for as long as it takes something else to catch his interest. Still, he politely and warmly informs, "I listen to you all the time, selectively. The building is dimly attractive in spite of it being inanimate, yes." But the women ahead were clearly busy doing something. A something he didn't understand, and a something that wasn't immediately paying attention to Cynric, thus he invites himself directly beside them to see what was wrong with the large bird he helpfully notes as, "Ah, that large long necked water fowl favored by nobility in spite of their habit of killing small curious children. Are you going to use it for sustenance? This is a popular thing to do. But this... whatever is being done, it does not appear to be smashing flesh together. Interesting. Hello. I am Llyr'maris Asichel, Huscarl courtesan to Prince Kynaston Chasin of the Farland Wood, Protector of probably this thing. Hello." [18:17] Cailean (alistair.greymyst): (( Relogging. For some reason, Niv has no quotation marks on my screen. I see 'em on Cedar's screen though. gyazo.com/d40546ad0285d10418c2a655f48c6b0e )) [18:18] Kynaston Chasin could quickly determine that Meri was admist a spell- given the glowing hands and how she was standing over what looked like a bag of feathers thrown on the table. What fabulous decoration.. oh. Well no not quite. It became clear that it was a wounded, even potentially dead bird on the table. "Learning! What a grand thing to do." He comments, though otherwise did not seem very interested in what appeared to be a healing spell from the set up of the swan. Soon his eyes meandered away from the women, finding more interest in various glass wear and components about the shop that soon had him walking near the window ledge like a child scooping out a candy shop. At least as much as he could before Asi promptly calls his attention back with an introduction that had him spinning on his heel to lower himself into a full bow, with a bite to his lip for certaint... perdictiments. "Please, just call me Cynric. And yes, I am sure it would be quite tasty with some gravey." [18:23] Cailean (alistair.greymyst): (( Quotation marks have returned! )) [18:24] Merialeth Windstar (caireannliadan) kept her gaze on the bird, her one hand stroking the soft feathers that felt all too familiar, her other hand over the arrow's mark. The pitch of her Song and the words, softly-spoken Elven rising and falling, this particular time done in an almost beseeching tone as she called on the Magic to help guide the inner workings of the the body to repair itself. Her energy pushing into the crevices, eyes closing now as she imagined the tissues knitting, the vessels reattaching and the damage caused by the arrow's path to heal and close over little by little working from the center outward. It was a very damned good thing that Meri's Concentration was as strong as it was, or the closeness of another all too alien form (to her) and the likely brush of something against her would have, under normal circumstances, freaked Meri the fuck out and made her turn on him. However, she was too close to finishing this spell and she'd be damned if anything would stop her. The last -push- of Energy, the rush of Magic filling the room and the sudden honk/cry from the swan as it's wound was healed was enough to make Meri sag [18:24] Merialeth Windstar (caireannliadan) against the table and sigh in relief before turning her gaze on the unknown figure with a bit of an uncharacteristic glare as she muttered "Get -out- of my face... Yes it is a swan, yes it was hurt, and NO it's not for food!" The swan then offering it's own noise of dismay that persisted as it flopped about on the table and tried to get free before Meri'd spin back to soothe it under her breath and clasp it close to her. The harsh rustling of the swan's feathers was doubled by an even louder sound as Meri'd back away from the figure standing so close and held the bird to her, petting the feathers. (Cure Wounds 2/2) "What is it you both were wanting?" The look cast between both men, then over to Cedar and back tot he men, though Cedar's glance was more a 'we're not finished yet, but all's well' sort of thing. [18:24] Merialeth Windstar (caireannliadan): ((Yay)) [18:29] Lιттle Ƭree (cedar.ashland) thought she was fucked if singing was the way she had to go about utilizing this particular spell. Not that Cedar couldn't sing or didn't enjoy doing so, but it wasn't at all how she harnessed her magic and she wasn't too keen on trying to learn something new at so basic and intrinsic an aspect to how she cast. Still, she watched nonetheless, though there was little truly revealed to her that could aid her in the future, and only a twitch of an ear occurred for the sudden presence of the pale-skinned fellow, for she wasn't the type to be drawn away from something she intended to learn. "I dint really eat tha' sort," Cedar said absently and quietly while she watched Meri finish healing the bird. "Was why I'd picked it, aye?" A smile lit her face when she swan was healed - and hadn't died - and then the smile shifted to a rather amused grin for how the elven lass turned snappish upon the man near to them both, for it was unexpected given the way she'd seemed so gentle and unassuming the last they'd [18:29] Lιттle Ƭree (cedar.ashland): met. Catching the look Meri gave her way, she nodded a bit, before turning her gaze to the pale man - and to him she simply continued to grin, wondering if he'd move away. [18:35] Asi really just watches these proceedings with all the fascination of a child setting an ant on fire with a magnifying glance. Amused, but not quite in the capacity to care much. Even it's fight and honkings don't earn much but a distant, indulgent smile that carries over to the woman in red, whom shortly thereafter earns a frown of concern. "I am not in your face, Madam. If I were in your face I am almost certain this would be lethal, and that would in turn be illegal and as a Warden Initiate it would be Highly Illegal to slay you through the insertion of my entirety into your face. As I am not inside of your face, you have my sincerest apologies in regarding to the inability to remove myself from it." All of that that, he smacks his hand upon his chest and bows in a most excessively elaborate manner to further extend his apology, following that up with a sweeping gesture towards Cynric as he backs away. Behind Cedar. "Interesting form of healing, there was no torment wailing at all. Ah- Apologies once [18:35] Asi: more, I want for nothing, I am merely here with Prince Kynaston Chasin. Ignore me. The red authoritative one, not the accidental water fowl maiming one." [18:35] Cailean (alistair.greymyst) decided that he'd like the old property better; it wasn't that the new shop wasn't pretty, but it felt--.. cramped. And a man didn't like to feel cramped when there were deadly magical things all about him, waiting for him to elbow into calamitous result. It was busy, decidedly, but he'd spied both Meri and Cedar and so instead of turning away and visiting again later, he waited near the door. Actually, he opened the door and held it open, if for no other reason than to make himself feel as if there was a way out of the stone death trap. Err, shop! If he didn't that panicky feeling in his chest might not subside. [18:39] Kynaston Chasin almost simulates the touch of Meri's fingers over the feathers of the swan, but brushing the tips of his own fingers to the furry rug below while he was down within his full bow. But when Meri's mood shifts towards Asi, Cynric promptly straightens up. He advanced over to where Asi now was after he relocated somewhat behind Cedar. A hand swooping out to place upon the other's shoulder, simply holding it there. Though Asi would feel a bit of pressure at the fingertips in a silent manner to still him, but otherwise could only just laugh at Asi's 'handling of it'. Speaking to Meri, "I assure you he means no harm and has not likely ever seen a lady such as yourself sing a song that caused a fallen bird to make such a cry in return. It is not an every day happening." He at last releases hold of Asi when Meri asked what he was seeking, tugging a bit at his clothing to pull out some of the traveling wrinkles. "I am thinking I would like to learn a few things myself, if this is the sort of place th [18:39] Kynaston Chasin: have many things that interest me here.. visually.. speaking." His gaze shifting towards the door at Cailean's arrival, dipping the branches of his earthen made crown, before his gaze shifts back to the women. "Yes, I would like to learn something too." [18:51] Merialeth Windstar (caireannliadan) leaned against the wall, the rush of energy always pulled a little more out of her than she liked. Normally it didn't bother her overmuch, but around strangers, and with the circumstances as they were, it left her a little uneasy. The swan had finally settled in her arms, though the fact Meri's hand was kinda holding over it's eyes and beak carefully and it was tucked against her arm might have had something to do with it. She'd just sort of stare a moment at the all too literal man, though as he backed up away from her, Meri'd relax at least a little bit and nod, though the content of his words finally pierced her brain. Bowing? Prince? Her brows lifted, eyes flicking over at the other man as she perused him more carefully, then mentally shrugged. Still her shop. At least til someone came to take it over. Princes - eh - they still had to er, do everything everyone else did. And they usually had money. Only then would her eyes finally fall on Cailean, the slight blink as she couldn't help but wonder how she'd been -so- attuned to the Magic to have missed another arrival. This one at least she [18:51] Merialeth Windstar (caireannliadan) she was comfortable with and as she noted he was holding the door open, though Meri was sure it wasn't the reason why, she'd dash him a faint smile, then moved past them all to take the swan outside and place it carefully on the ground with another soft stroke of it's feathers. Leaning close to whisper into it's ear in Elven "Stay far away from the fae, hmm? I don't want to have to heal you again..." then let it go... It's quickened wingbeats and scrabbling for purchase in the grass as it made haste to get away from the people, not surprising one bit. She'd breathe deeply, turn on her toes then pad back to her spot with a smile of thanks to Cailean and glanced between all four. This, was going to be an interesting day. To the 'Prince' she'd offer a dip of her head "What sort of lessons are you looking for, and will this one be accompanying you, because he's a distraction." Truth, maybe a little shorter version of it, but Meri was a little tired. To Cail, she'd nod again "Good to see you Captain, something I can help with, or are you ready to get those sigils enchanted yet by chance?" And finally ba [18:52] Merialeth Windstar (caireannliadan) back to Cedar "That would be one example. If that's not a method you think you'd use, I will happily help you find what does work, each caster is different, the joys of flexibility." [18:52] Merialeth Windstar (caireannliadan): ((oi.)) [18:57] Lιттle Ƭree (cedar.ashland) only grew more amused by the way the pale-skinned man chose to speak. It had her grin remain and her gaze follow him even as he went to stand someplace behind where she herself stood. A look over her shoulder as she watched and then, finally, she looked away - but only because the door to the shop opened yet again and this time it brought a familiar face. Green eyes settled upon Cailean and her grin subsided if only so that she might cast him a smile. She looked him over, the sort of way a woman looks over a fellow she has some interest in and not even trying to hide that she did -- and when Meri walked past the fae let her gaze drift to the elf, watching her curiously for the swan that she held. Ahh, she was letting it go, which made sense all in all, and as she didn't hear what was said to the swan, Cedar remained passive and amicable whilst she waited within. "Aye ... tha's guid ta know then," she lilted to Meri's explanation of the variety of ways one might cast the healing spell. "Had me [18:57] Lιттle Ƭree (cedar.ashland): worrit a moment there, ye did." [19:05] Asi felt the ninja technique of falcon claw scold upon his shoulder, glancing to Cynric briefly for it. Then simply nodding once and going still, silent, and otherwise merely decorative to the scene. If he was a distraction now, it was because Merialeth was weak to his amazing impression of an elven boy band brosky. And shame on her for objectifying him like that. THe other woman was clearly only as curious as he was, just quieter about it, he stared back until she looked away, then proceeded to stare at dead space. [19:07] Lιттle Ƭree (cedar.ashland): lol niv)) [19:10] Bird Ix'Chirp (jaden.tyles): ((so many lines)) [19:10] Merialeth Windstar (caireannliadan): ((hehe)) [19:11] Cailean (alistair.greymyst): Decidedly, he'd no idea what was so interesting about the swan that it'd captured the attention of no less than four people. Did they plan on dissecting it? That'd have been a waste of meat, in his opinion, and what did it matter what the inside of the bird actually looked like? Scholarly types were always wanted to know how things worked on the inside; he was only so interested in-so-far as he needed to know how to make things /stop/ working on the inside instead. A far easier school of knowledge, to be sure, but one not without it's measure of artistry as well. He studied the people more than the swan itself, until he began to wonder if it was truly a swan. Perhaps it was some sort of fae -- or a person turned into a swan. Perhaps they planned on dissecting the swan to see what a person who was a swan like on the inside. Were they swan or person? Would they taste like swan or like the person who it'd been? Perhaps Cailean took a little more stock in the academics and study of said swan--.. no, [19:11] Cailean (alistair.greymyst): they just released the swan and all of the Captain's momentary and professional interest vanished. Well, he'd a grin anyway for it, though the grin warmed to a smile as Cedar looked to him. He inclined his head in that gallant, noble, and majestic way he did -- Clint Eastwood would've been proud -- then looked to Meri. "No, just came by to see how you were about, Mistress Windstar," he replied, reaching up to tap himself on the head. "You took a hard hit on the head." There was a way that he drawled that made it sound as if he were quietly amused -- and he was. A nod, not just of greeting but of fair respect was offered to the Prince, and one just a little less than that for his protector if he happened to look the Captain's way. [19:12] Merialeth Windstar (caireannliadan): ((Sorry guys, Lumiya crashed)) [19:14] Kynaston Chasin sort of eyed Meri back as the woman seemed to be checking him out. He had a strange smile situated on his face, half crooked. He gave her a wink about the time her gaze shifted away. "Ah, I fear he is often where I am. As he is my... well.. um.. Yes, I believe he introduced himself. And as he took the liberaity to mention, I hold quite the title back from the lands I have traveled from. However I am much aware that those titles due me of little good in a kingdom not quite my own, and in a place where I have not become renown yet.. as it seems my name had yet to spread so far. So I was curiously seeking to know if there was not by some means that one can... increase their charm a bit. You know.." At this point he was doing a lot of hand motoins, rotating them at the wrist, " Like come off more.. trustworthy than one might be inclined to believe otherwise. Not that I think I am not charming enough as I am, nor would I .. could I... tell a lie, so hardly anything that one would be harmed by. [19:14] Kynaston Chasin: and all." He flashes them a smile, of course. And even the so called Captain would not be spared an eventual shift of his fingers in a wave like manner of greetings. [19:26] Merialeth Windstar (caireannliadan) offered a chuckle over to Cedar, her head shaking as she murmured "I learned a few different ways, I can show you some of the methods when we have a spare moment... and see what works for you." She'd caught Cedar's look towards Cailean and it made her smile soften, the flick of gaze between the pair and almost wistful look before she'd straighten and flick her eyes away from them both. Her tongue pressed hard between her teeth as she shifted her eyes back towards the two strangers, the names had hit her brain somewhere but were lost with everything else going on. She felt a -little- bit guilty about scolding the all too literal one, the grip belatedly noticed but could do little more than cast a smile between them both and lace her arms about her waist at the remembrance of someone so closely invading her space. Her head tipping somewhat as she regarded him then amended her statement, "Well, if he isn't right up next to me, I guess it'd be alright." To the response of his presence and what he hoped to achieve, her brows lifted, a slight tip of her head, then nodded "Indeed I have... something that wou [19:27] Merialeth Windstar (caireannliadan) would assist you in that," though her mind immediately couldn't help but wonder why such artifice would be needed, but Meri was the forthright sort. Usually. Cailean's reminder of the all-too embarrassing events a few days before made her blush, the widening of her gaze as she dipped her head politely and offered a quiet "Good of you to check in on me, though I still am regretful for putting you through so much fuss..." She'd spin on her toes, heading for the far side of the scrollcase. Her words trailing off as the soft hum teased through her lips again, and as her fingers traced over a certain scroll, the tip glowed gently til she tugged it into her grasp. She'd pull it open, peruse it a moment or two, reading carefully the first few lines, then coiled it back up and moved back to where she'd stood and showed it to the man who'd inquired. "This wil serve you well enough, I believe, with some time and study, it will be one silver." [19:32] Lιттle Ƭree (cedar.ashland) liked the way Cailean looked at her. Liked the way he gave off gallantry her way, even though it wasn't needed. She also liked however, the idea there were multiple ways she could choose from to try to learn the spell and that information had her attention fixing upon Meri with a happy lift of her brows. "Aye then. Will come back another time, when yer no' sae busy, lass." She turned then, it seeming a good time to go since Meri was moving about the shelves of scrolls for what Cedar assumed to be the spell that might aid the darker man. And as she headed for the door she brushed past Cailean with a purposeful pass of her hip brushing against him as she went to the door he held open. "D'ye hae a guid day, Meri." [19:36] Asi keeps helpfully standing still and silently, minus that whole breathing issue this particular form forced upon him. An annoying habit, a true wonder how animals put up with it. Too much, things get weird, too little things turn black, too loud it's deemed creepy. Breathing was hard, but he was mastering it like he mastered the polite and generalized nod of the head that acknowledged existence without getting too personal and thus invested. Head nod back at Cailean. [19:50] Cailean (alistair.greymyst): Cailean's brow creased as he caught Kyn's fingers wiggling at him. It was in that moment that the prince'd become a dandy in his head, and he'd had to resist the urge to wiggle his fingers just to see what it'd look like when he did it. Perhaps it was just the man's culture -- he spoke outlandishly, or literally, enough -- and so his expression relaxed. See, there wasn't a way to wiggle your fingers in any kind of way that made a man seem manly, not here in 'muric--.. err, Valesk! His gaze shifted, however, back to Meri and he offered her a nod. "Was no fuss at all," he replied, for what seemed like the upteenth time. Meri was always worried over the fuss when it seemed like his job to do so! He was about to say more to her and then turn to join Cedar in leaving when he felt a little bump of the hip against his thigh and he looked to the side at her, smiling in the wake of the touch. "Was hoping to talk to you about buying some wyvern parts, though," he went on, remembering because of Cedar that he'd [19:50] Cailean (alistair.greymyst): some odds and ends he'd claimed to sell of the kill. (( Sorry, got distracted. XD )) [19:52] Kynaston Chasin knowing littled of Cedar and Cailean, he was pretty unaware of the little cutness they had building between them as his focus remained primarily on Meri. Cailean looked pretty deep in thought anyways, and Cynric believed him to be a bit of a 'space cadet'. He gives a nod, "This is acceptable." He turns back to Asi, "I would like you to ensure that you are not right up next to Mistress Windstar." Having that well handled, he turns back to watch Meri retrieve the scroll she sought. As she displayed it he did well to just look upon it - only edging his hand out slightly in want to accept it. "It pleases me that there is such a thing that would aid me-Have a good day," He cut himself off to offer a fairewell to the swan-hunter lady. He turns towards Asi, whom was busy simply breathing near by, "Silver coin," he stated, though hardly paused before he was seeking to rummage in Asi's pockets for his own coin pouch. "And thank you very much, Mistress Windstar, your help with this will be much appr [19:53] Cynric (jens.ixchel): <appreciated." [19:58] Merialeth Windstar (caireannliadan) dashed a smile over to Cedar and nodded "And you as well, though before you shoot another, please um... come see me again, hmm?" Meri knew it might not make a lick of difference, but she couldn't help but try ... there had to be another way. She dashed a look over at the now too-quiet one, her brows furrowing as she perused him politely, then blinked a moment and shifted her eyes back to Cailean as he mentioned the wyvern parts. "Did you find one too, or...?" fading off when she realized from the bump and smile from Cedar that it was likely the same one. Ah "Of course..." The flush of color in her cheeks at the reassuance, when in Meri's mind there'd be no way for him to convince her otherwise. "You're very kind..." offered to Cailean before Cynric's reply pulled her attention back his direction. The scroll still proffered and the title passing both the men's lips just made Meri hunch slightly and that rustle sound again around her. Kind manners or no, it just... wasn't her "Please both of you, just call me Meri, or Merialeth if you must, I'm not my mother, don't make me feel even older than my t [19:58] Merialeth Windstar (caireannliadan) my time." [20:06] Asi has to frown in that manner that was more of a squint as he is told not to stand 'right next to' the women in red, whom he was not presently neat, and so. Confusion. Or perhaps just annoyance. "Very well, Prince Kynaston Chasin. I will endeavor to never be within a touch's space near Mistress Windstar again. Ever. Come hell, high water, or the extremre off chance a rampaging pack of shadelings is in her path and only I am present to save her, she shall, tragically, perish, for I will ensure and swear upon my very soul to not be near her again and removing her from harm would place me 'right next to her'. Let us pray, all, that Valesk never permit such circumstance." He would place his hand over his heart as he bows to the woman whom never again would be within close proximity to the element. And once more to Cynric to confirm he swore it while Cynric felt him up for his coin. Expertly ignored the patting until the mage found his coins. Afterwards he makes for the door, presumably to wait outside and n [20:06] Asi: hear Merialeth. Spacial relations was not his strong suit. [20:11] Lιттle Ƭree (cedar.ashland): thanks for the rp guys lol <3 )) [20:12] Merialeth Windstar (caireannliadan): ((have a great one! [20:14] Cailean (alistair.greymyst): Cailean'd already been told by Meri to refer to her by name, but as the Captain of the Guard, Councilman, and in the presence of strangers, it only seemed appropriate to refer to her as Mistress Windstar. "Same, aye," he nodded toward Cedar's departing form. "Helped her butcher and carry it back. Was a pain in the arse, but I think the coin'll be worth it." Not that he was going to have issues with coin in the near future, given the new Treasurer's budget! There was a part of him that understood the corrupt nature of it, but he wasn't the one who'd devised it or'd come up with it anyway, and if he stood to benefit a little, well, Cailean couldn't say he was going to complain if no one else was. That being said, he was then distracted by the odd way in which Asi spoke. He paid the conversation half a mind, moving along to lean against the counter where the business there was being spoken of. In the meanwhile, he watched, because it amused him. Like an oogler. So rude. [20:18] Kynaston Chasin reflected for a moment on the mention of the wyvern, but it was specifically a dragon he had been curious in, so ultimately disreguarded the informaiton. "As you wish, Meraleth, though you should hardly feel concerned about your age, you don't look a day over 105." He makes his way over to where she resided, seeking to claim the scroll from her. He was somewhere stuck between tsking a bit at the over meladramtics of Asi, and growing ever warm and annoyed in his own right at Asi. It grew to such rediculous over embelishments that left Cynric laughing, part out of social norms, part out of over all discomfort at present. He located the coin pouch, plucked out a silve coin from their ever dimishing supply that left Cynric peering into the coin bag with a 'Surely this isn't all' sort of expression, that did not part from his face as Asi sought a swift departure. Clearly he was just not as lucky as Cailean was! "I meant only right next to her," he corrects, "Let us say the widen of a... of a..." [20:18] Kynaston Chasin: searching about frantically. "Pillow. You can not be within a pillows range of her." Otherwise he would just seek to make the exchange for coin and scroll. [20:21] The Auguriis Magic and Oddities Shop: Touched. [20:23] Merialeth Windstar (caireannliadan) just kinda blinked again as Cynric's companion rattled off the long sort of... seeming.. agreement? Admonition? Her lips parting then snapping shut as she just stood there a moment, pondering the status of such a person that took things even more literally than an Elf. Her gaze flicking briefly again over to Cailean as he mentioned he'd accumulated parts that Cedar hadn't spoken of, and though she was instantly intrigued, one thing at a time! The leaning against the counter was innocuous enough and it's not like she was conducting any dark dealings after all. It was all perfectly legal and aboveboard... "I'm looking forward to hearing what you have available." When she realized that Cynric was as put off as she was, it brought a faint smile to her lips and she'd relax a little bit to see him searching for a reply. A pillow? Well, that was at least... better. Sort of... Her brows furrowed and shrugging slightly as she'd happily exchange the scroll for the coin offered and murmued somewhat wryly "I wish you luck of it..." then cast a glance towards the retreating back of his companion and back to [20:24] Merialeth Windstar (caireannliadan) to Cynric again with a soft chuckle "I take it he's always like this?" she'd murmur softly. [20:25] Cailean (alistair.greymyst): (( Skip me while you guys do your RP. ^^ )) [20:25] Cailean (alistair.greymyst): (( Just waitin' here. )) [20:29] Asi lurks outside where he's not given obvious orders he's compelled to twist in the most excruciatingly literal and sassy manner possible or something to that effect. And be lurk clearly the narrator means stop pretending to try to impress people and run frolicking free around in the grass. Wheeeee! [20:29] The Auguriis Magic and Oddities Shop: Touched. [20:29] Kynaston Chasin captured the scroll he wants and he promptly hugs it up against his chest in protection. He kept a tight hold on it, though he seemed itching to peek inside to see what the scroll would hold. He decided best to wait though - as it was clear Meri had other business to conduct with Cailean. And while wyvern and trade information seemed interesting, it wasn't worth delaying further from the other things he himself needed to tend to. "And so I shall, hopefully, Merialeth. And aye, I fear he frequently is. I will get out of your hair for now though." He gave a flourished bow to the both, Meri and Cailean, whom the later did look up to no good. He hurried off to catch up with Asi. ((Thanks Yall

Resolve 5-to-6: The Doodled JournalAsi has gone and stolen Cynric's beloved journal! And what is worse, he was caught doodling in it! This journal is something of a valuable asset to Cynric... and he has a hard time possessing 'parental' skills when it comes to childish actions not meant to harm. [09:13] Asi is doodle all over Cyn's journal. [09:16] Kynaston Chasin had been out picking herbs this morning, some of them now lingering out of his mouth as he is quick to slurp them up and swallow them down. He closes the door behind him, before taking notice of Asi upon the ground. “What are you doing?” He said in a curious tone, not an angered one. As he ventures over however he seems to realize something.. that that journal looked pretty familiar and it soon had him patting the empty chain at his hip in some disbelieve he had dropped it. [09:24] Asi had been left alone, and as a thing that doesn't typically sleep but was being self aware enough to understand boredom... along with trickery and other more complex humanoid notions. Well. Cyn my find he did have a book on his hip earlier. One of similar size and color, but a cook book now lost outdoors and so now explaining the lack of notice. But now the pond was caught, swirls of ink dancing behind translucent skin, claws mottled and stained, two broken quills nearby and a swiped brush from someplace pinch in claws. He, of course, gives Cynric his best doe eyed and innocent expression as he chimes, "Nothing," and slowly tries to hide the journal beneath his legs. [09:28] Kynaston Chasin could hardly get mad at someone that was acting so cute and coy like that… and he really had no idea that Asi was cleaver enough to give him an imposter book! Though a sudden rise in chemicals shifted through him as he hurried over to the journal, seeking to pull it from Asi. Though once he spots that Asi had atleast used a clean page, he sighed in relief and plopped down on the floor beside Asi. “It looks like you were trying to do the painting thing you seemed to have held interest in? If youwould like we can get you your own journal, or some loose papers for you to play around with.” He smiled softly, before looking at the marks Asi had made. “Trees?” [09:39] Asi may have been a bit nervous over causing Kynaston to get angry in spite of finding himself clever for the initial switcharoo. Still, he did his best to maintain innocence and the pointless 'nothing' lie until ht seemed like the mage wasn't going to blow things up or so. Then, natually, he was pleased and excited to show off the mess he made. "Yes I was writing and painting," he agrees with the man, brush set aside and book plucked up to be settled and returned to Cynric's lap. "Yes they are trees, you enjoy trees. It is possible to acquire loose papers with no writing upon them?" An exciting idea, that! One that compelled him to flop forward and attempt to hug the mage with ink covered hands. "I am happy!" [09:57] Kynaston Chasin took a moment to take in a few deep breaths, holding them, before exhaling. “You are my responsibility and I must take responsibilities for your actions. I should not get mad at you for doing what you wanted… “ He rubs his eyes a bit in mild frustration, taking another deep breath and exhaling slowly. “This journal is very valuable to me, but you are valuable to me too, Asi.” He trails his hands away from his eyes, sliding them back through his hair a bit. He stilled himself to prevent himself from blowing up in actuality. His journal was… important to him. It was like a child having taken something work related and doodled in it. It demanded a lot of resolve to keep a more collected approach about it- and Cynric wasn’t the most parental of figures. He would accept Asi into his hold, though would seek to grab him by the wrist to hold off his ink covered hands. “Yes, we will go get you some so you will have your own paper to doodle on.. but first let us get you washed off. [10:20] Asi was less aware his human's shock had worn off and now the man might actually be miffed at him. The difference in breathing and tone were noticed, of course, just not for what it was. "I am aware of this journal's value," he replies slowly, leaning back once more with his wrists being caught and all. "Yes, and my own. I had considered you may be annoyed, but then I thought perhaps you might enjoy trees because you enjoy trees and I robbed you of your chosen element." Honestly, he wasn't sure what the logic of his actions were, they'd been as thoughtful as they were selfish impatience. "The ink is absorbing. I do not 'wash' exactly," he informs then, idly trying to twist and break his wrists free of the human. "It is fine, the paper. I will refrain from making an art in your journal again. It is a pretty book." [10:26] Kynaston Chasin was indeed well on his way to calming himself down in one aspect, but there was something about the way in which Asi was now being held that perked a smile to his lips and he would seek to kiss the man. “Aye, it is good your recognize value in both yourself and in the journal. I do enjoy trees, but I assure you I do not feel Robbed of my element. Maybe even if I had someone like Forest as my element, than maybe I would not have the type of… well it wouldn’t be you. And that is a sad thing.” He releases hold of Asi’s wrists when the man sought to get away. “Yes, I will get you your own paper so that you have a place to practice on.. so when you know you can make something of value you may then use my journal. But it is important that you find one that has a blank sheet.” [10:59] Asi may not be all that aware of what Cynric found interesting and smile worthy about holding his wrists. Kisses were a different matter, he freely indulged in one of those, affectionate cheek rubs and all. "It is preferred you not feel sad," he agrees mildly, pleased in a sense Cynric recognized his individuality that way. The latter bits he makes no comment on, as his idea of value was pretty much the tree mess in Cyn's journal now. So now the journal will simply end up full of doodles of self confidence, or never be doodled in again for self doubt. [11:04] Kynaston Chasin made sure to fully fan the journal to ensure the page was dried well enough and that the paint would not run or smear before he closed the cover fully to the journal. He carefully reattached the book to the chain to ensure it was securely back on him. He smiled up to Asi. “Otherwise your trees were very well done.” He complimented, before finding his own feet again. “We need to secure a way to obtain more money.. it seems our coffers are running a bit on the.. low.. side. But I think we should have enough for some papers for you. They probably sell those at the stair owner shop place. Would you like to venture out to the upper town?”

Charming Mein: Reading Scrolls. There is a moment in every mage's life when they can actually sit down and read a scroll... Well this wasn't quite one of those times. It did however start with a desire for self improvement. Silence would eventually be met with long enough to read through the scroll and begin thinking on what was written. [15:32] Asi is none too sure what happened, but somehow paper adventures became sit on the floor and flop in Cynric's lap adventures instead. [15:36] Kynaston Chasin seems to have really just gotten lost and fell by random mishaps that had brought them back inside to sit on the floor. He sort of bliks at Asi as he plops down in his lap. A smile caressing his face. It wasnt that he was forgetful. He was just unlucky sometiems... and their path simply did not take them where intended [15:42] Asi may have been the source of Cyn's lack in luck today. Perhaps he was busy having odd emotions and thoughts, being scatter brained and lacking in focus, and had no good explanation for any of it. It was just an odd day, and he felt best over all in Cynric's hold. Felt better when the human smiled, and just overall very good simply being near him. And then it occurs to him, and he murmurs softly, "It is because I do not feel you, and I have learned already to crave this. The sense of warmth and the tingly feelings of contentment and happiness. Perhaps I am begining to feel less whole no matter what shape I am holding." [15:48] Kynaston Chasin wrapped his arms securely around Asi, and readjusting himself to easily sit them both on the floor. He could tell that Asi’s mood lightened a bit and clearly it impacted Cynric as well, “Ah there you are.” He purred to the lad as he was beginning to brighten up though the way the conversation went was not at all sooting or satisfying and left Cynric frowning a bit. “I am sorry that you are feeling that way. That sounds like it would be hard to be content. I can imagine. But it would be too hard for you to stay in your altered form, as well as a major drain upon your resource. I am also not to fund of how much it clearly hurts you. I am not really sure what we can do.. if there is a way to make you feel… more whole as you are now.” [15:53] Asi couldn't help himself, Cynric being sweet on him seemed to lift him even higher. Watery tendrils flailing a bit, coiling to the mage and all. "I will discover a balance," he assures the other man as he pushes up and leans forward to brush his ever damp cheek with his human's. "Pain is alarming, but it is not the worse. I think the lack of sensation is more alarming once knowing it." [15:55] Kynaston Chasin rubs his fingers back through Asi’s hair. “I trust that you will. And will do what I can to allievate what that I can… as I can imagine that absence of pain or pleasure is not good, and leaves an emptiness that reaches deeper than pain can often do. But perhaps we can make you feel better and more secure in ways not quite physical.” [16:02] Asi could still feel a sense of satisfaction from being coddled on, of course, thus for the moment remained content and continues to hold and comfort Cynric back. "Perhaps there is. Perhaps not," he replies, clearly not holding to much hope on the idea. "It is not a thing to worry on, not really. Perhaps I am too childish today is all." [16:02] Second Life: Items successfully shared. [16:07] Kynaston Chasin lifts his shoulders into a shrug. “It is something to be bothered with though, Asi. As you are mine in which way that you are mine, and I am held responsible for all things related with you. What you touch, affect, destroy, give life to.. all of these things I am responsible for as much as I am responsible for your well being and happiness. Your willingness and want to be by myside. You count on me do you not? That is also why I must become better, and improve myself.. Improve us.” He fetches out his scroll. “I will learn when I can, gain knowledge in what I must, do as I see fit… but my number one priority is ensuring you are there by my side, happy.” [16:14] Asi snorts a soft not as he pushes himself back up from the human's lap, glassy eyes taking in the scene of their little home. "In part," he agrees, head tipped to the side a moment before he aims to stand again with a languid sigh. "I am not responsible for myself then, according to these thoughts. I should argue this, perhaps. It negates my desire to be of my own. And yet, I have the thought you prefer it greatly when something is fully dependent upon you. I am curious of your past relationships, and to what extent the dependencies were in each." [16:21] Kynaston Chasin did not seek to hold Asi bound to his lap when the man wanted to get up and move about though the scroll had been unfurrowed, Asi kept Cynric’s attention squarely on him. “Argue it than if you so would like to, as I am sure I said it not quite the way that I meant to or intended. As I would still like you to hold some self responsibility and make some of your own moral judgements… especially if you are off on your own and I am not about to dictate otherwise. It is important than that you do not just knock over something and blame it on me. Or something silly like that. But I still feel responsible to teach you the world, learn you of things. Like a parent to a child, but I do not like that thought, or that wording.. it.. unsettles me to think that way, but as far as the similiarity.. yes. Because a parent can only be so responsible for the child they created.. but there is still a lot that lies on them and them alone. But do I want you dependant of me? That question though… Are you [16:21] Kynaston Chasin: nature alone, are you not dependent on me?” [16:34] Asi listens quiet and raptly, not at all upset with anything at present but simply trying to find a means of understanding. Additional details were easier to swallow as well, he mostly just nodding along with Cyn's thoughts and ideas in regards to the pair. "It is true, I need to be taught," he agrees at one point. But the latter question did make him shift uncomfortably, and to it he replies, "I decline to answer as you have declined to answer me. I just do not lack the talent to artfully avoid answering questions I do not find pleasing." [16:38] Kynaston Chasin fidgets with the scroll a bit, seeming to be a bit of a nervous tick than anything else. He stretched out his legs, resituating himself. “Yes.” He stated definitively, followed by a bit of a pause, before further stating. “Yes, I crave dependency. Which would probably make a summoned element a good candidate for someone highly involved in my life, as a being that is bound to my will and soul in such the way as the Elementlist are capable of doing. But as far as my other relationships? Well…” He swallowed back a bit, “Kashka.. well.. I think he was dependent on me. He expressed a need for me, and a want for me to be near, be close. Where as my other one.. hmm… well It was more of a trade off. A fight for dominance sort of thing, maybe I was dependent, maybe he was.. maybe it changed.” [16:55] Asi just stayed fairly still himself, watching his human quietly. Still not at all seeming upset or bothered beyond his decline to answer. Cynric's own eventual answer earns a look of interest, maybe a general expression of understanding followed by a small smile as the answer sounds more like a wee moment of soul searching from Cynric. But he did not seem bothered, and in fact only stoops over to gently kiss the top of Cynric's head. "I love you, Kynaston Chasin. Do not fear my desire for individuality. I do not seek to be removed from you, and only by your decree will I ever." He didn't try to pry beyond that, not if it was seemingly to upset the man at all.
[16:58] Kynaston Chasin seemed like he did not know what to suspect. And waited several long moments before it was clear that he had not upsetted Asi. The relief brough a sigh out of his lips, only for his cheeks to warm and redden to Asi’s words. His body shifting slightly, a finger touching Asi’s chest, a light pressure put to it though was not wholly rejecting. “Now I must request that you provide me with a few minutes to seek to better improve myself by obtaining the information from this scroll.” He proclaimed, moving the scroll back before his face and plopping back- originally seeking to just take Asi down with him.. though his hold would loosen on the man to permit Asi to get back up and move about the room himself. He laid across the floor, holding the scroll above his eyes as he began to read through the arcane text – with some clear difficulty at first.
----
[17:35] Kynaston Chasin had at last found enough piece and quite to relax back into his scroll reading. But when sometime had passed it had simply became too quite to the point the mage grew bored of studies. He left out of the cabin to go investigate the near by surroundings.
[17:39] Asi mimics the given smile, wistful though it seemed, and may curiously glance to her plant matter and journal before the woman turns more his way. A long spindly claw is pointed first at her items, nodding once to imply his curiosity, but hey question is met with a flippant wave of hands and laugh, mouth not quite matching words, "Yes, her hair was pink and she seemed aware I thought you siblings, though to her credit I am not always good at keeping the inside voice inside." Back to her items then, sans pointing. "Prince Kynaston Chasin enjoys plant matter and private journals. Today I painted in one, it was not exactly a correct thing to do, nor a terrible one. You should be friends, you have a lot in common." Speaking of the devil he was constantly stating should be made friends with, there be the Cynric!
[17:44] Mei Lin (ghostofishtar) gave a chuckle at his strange mannerisms but her eyes warm warm and soft, "No, I'm afraid I have no sister. And...I think we all have trouble keeping the inside voice inside sometimes." As he showed interest in her journal, she'd laugh again and open it up to a random page, showing him the amount of scribbled out failures there were. "I doubt if he's a Prince he'd be very impressed with my work. I'm sure he's quite talented. I've never met a prince before...well, my teacher claims he is one but...I'm not so sure." The smile would never leave her face as it turns to the approaching man. "Hello."
[17:44] Mei Lin (ghostofishtar): *were warm and
[17:47] Kynaston Chasin had came upon the little pavillion right before the road lead off out of the town proper of the little village. His ears were just about burning from encroaching upon them about the time Asi had just mentioned him, plant matters, and private journals. He perked a brow, and continued on over to meet up with the both of them. He reconized the lady from last night and dips himself into a partial bow. "Good evening," he said in a deeper tone, followed by a charming flash of a smile. "To the lady with hair the color of the setting sun reflecting upon the whiskful streams of clouds." His gaze shifts over towards Asi, before gesturing to the little paint stand, "Perhaps your friend here would let you borrow her set up sometime?"
[18:02] Asi might have gotten distracted with Cynric's more formal arrival, or perhaps his interest was with the scribbles deemed failures, but to him seemed like legitimate works of art to envy. "He enjoyed my trees after they annoyed him, your lines are clearly superior, I do not see why he would not be impressed," he assures the woman with some seriously artistically beautiful hair if Cynric was the judge of it. "That is Prince Kynaston Chasin," he informs helpfully, backing up and out of any light that may grace Mei's hair for Cynric's amusement, murmuring a soft, "We just met and created no bond, we are not friends, Kynaston," whilst fussing at his own false, water made hair.
[18:08] Mei Lin (ghostofishtar)'s eyebrow raises at his charming greeting and she self-consciously reaches to smooth her messy hair. "Good evening to you, sir...and you can just call me Mei." She grins, her eyes playful and friendly. When he mentions the easel, she holds a hand up, "Oh no...no, sir that's not mine. I can barely draw a circle. It's always here. I just...I like this spot. I don't know who it belongs to though." Suddenly she worried if she had been trespassing this lovely spot all this time, which hadn't really occurred to her. It did seem too good to be a public place. But it wouldn't stop her from using it....until someone shooed her away, that is. As the man, Asi, comments on her superior lines she takes another look, maybe she missed something? But no, she'd have to disagree...but wouldn't speak it aloud, so as not to be rude. She sets the book back down. Her eyes widen with realization when Asi introduces the Prince and she stands up immediately and takes an awkward, untrained bow. "I'm sorry, sir, I mean Prince...I
[18:08] Mei Lin (ghostofishtar): didn't know." She looks between them at the strange comment about no bond or friendship being formed.
[18:12] Kynaston Chasin could quickly decipher that the Asi was speaking of the drawing he created earlier that day. Cynric folds the scroll back up and tucks it into his belt before fetching the journal bound to his chain. He flips it open and displays the drawing out towards Mei. "It is lovely to meet you Mei. But despite what Asi says, I assure you it really is quite an interesting painting. And it is particularly my fault I was annoyed he used my journal to create it as I had rather informed him that I would seek out supplies for him to fashion drawings and the like on. Unfortantantly I delayed terribly to long on it." His words became overly long, book held just about waist height as his gaze resided on Asi alone. His heavy lashes lowering for a moment, a faint blush. "Yes... well." His voice deeping slightly more than ususal, and he gave a cough. "Cynric. I insist on being called Cynric." The book is snapped closed and he quickly walked to Asi and shifted a bit behind him, trailing a finger over his back. "
[18:12] Kynaston Chasin: seem that who ever owns it has left it with full intentions of others to make good use of it. It sounds like the both of you may enjoy doing the doodles on it."

Resolve 5-to-6: Where the Laws LieAsi held a strong position against the mistreatment of those who look unique and strange.. those of possible demonic origins. Finding that all life, even tieflings and fey'ri, should be preserved. That the ninth rule of no fraternizing with those of demonic origin should not apply to them as it interferes with the eighth rule of discriminating. How now to go about becoming the Warden that Cynric wanted while ensuring his own elemental truly supported him? It was a matter of resolve to come by the solution. [20:25] Abassi raised a brow, " Other Warden gent?" she repeated with curiosity and stepped back, leaning against a tree as she conversed with the mage. " And a book... I haven't been able to speak ta Jahou in awhile. I will leave a note for him... We may ta deal with whatevah cult it is later. Would be good ta know more about em'." The pipe was removed from her mouth and the ash discarded to the soil. " Thought? Sure, shoot, boyo." [20:27] Kynaston Chasin nods, "I believe it was Jahou that Viveka was speaking of, but she failed to mention names, but that night that Asi and I aided Jaxon in the infirmary within the Warden' Keep, I overheard Jahou saying something about standing up to the dragon." He rotates his wrist in a way to show he is moving on, it wasn't a personal tiff he had with Jahou, just reporting. He continues, "As you may remember from when we first met, I held a little bit of trepidation to joining the Wardens in regards to the laws, and the conflict we thought and found to those whom can not help to have been born of a linage they did not choose. Those of Tiefling and Fey'ri. But how does one know a Tiefling from a Demon, A fey'ri from a demon, or even one of my own kin with more of a demonic appearing assets from a demon. Maybe my desire to not persecute the likes of them could infact jeopardize the isle by permitting one to mascaraed right beneath my nose wearing the guise of a Tiefling, Fey'ri, or the like. And while it is [20:27] Kynaston Chasin: resolve to follow the 8th law of Valesk, to not be discriminatory, the 9th one needs to be complied with. My thoughts are this, all those that appear of demonic linage, but are not demons by origin, must have on their person at all times a Warden issued Writ." [20:32] Abassi chewed at her lip. " Even more da reason ta speak with em, yes?" she shook her head and silenced once more. The talk of tieflings and feyri brought about interest as her own taint crawled beneath her skin like a parasite. " A Writ? That is actually a good idea.. any rogue could be reprimanded but if they have dere tags... den, good, yeah?" she grinned and pocketed the pipe. " I think it's a bettah start ta equality without havin' demon spawn run rampant." [20:37] Kynaston Chasin paused for a moment to let Abassi add her input and ensure she was following along and interested. With a nod, he continued, "As it seems that the isle does not at this time have a Writ proceedure, it may be difficult at first to impliment it. It would entale that we seek out all those currently known to be tieflings, fey'ri, or even questionable fae to their origins, and have them come before the Warden's Keep in sort of a trial like setting. Maybe even put out signs that they are required to report to us to enclose their identity. The writ proceedings will need to be a battery of tests to test them against the plausability of them being demon or holding to many demon like attributes as far as personality, ambitions, and mentality. Furthermore, the writ can be treated more as a privilage not a right. Any Fey'ri or Tiefling with a writ caught doing anything beyond minor crimes may have their writ revoked. A revoking of a writ basically puts them back into fair games to be treated and discr [20:37] Kynaston Chasin: against like a demon would. We would also need to come by some means of punishment to those citizens who do not show up for their writ, and are found later to have been hiding these traits from the Wardens. Anyways that is my thoughts on it for now." [20:50] Abassi scratched at her cheek in contemplation. " We'd need to establish that da Writ entails something beneficial rather then just actin' as if we are puttin' tags on dogs. Yeah?" her brows furrowed with the thoughts and she gestured to the man, " Write me something up and I will begin putting something into motion. A meeting of the Wardens will need to be held soon, along with your ceremony. Was there anything else on your mind?" [20:52] Asi genuinely had nothing to really add to anything being said, more silently pondering the nature of a Writ as he idly fondled with his necklace. Maybe glanced to Cynric every so often, and then of course to Abassi for just being a curiously odd speaking thing. "Do I need a writ?" he finally has to ask, thrusting a hand for Cynric's face and flexing his fingers. "I have seen tieflings and fey'ri now, I think. Have I not? I am not so different looking from them, it could be argued I look worse. Do I need a Writ?" [20:54] ѕкץяαн ℓuиαзdgз (lilmia91) was heading down to the wardens 'to check on things' after getting word from someone that they may be getting to retaliate on her pack well she needed to find out more information. As she walks further to where the new keep was being held she saw three figures, one she recognized off the back and she just smiles. Well isn't this pleasant. Time to do some spying. Walking closer she just stay a few feet back, not wanting to interrupt, just to listen and speak with Abassi after. [20:56] Kynaston Chasin nods in agreement, "Aye, well right off it offers the protection of the Wardens. All members of the Warden should treat demonic looking individuals as citizens of the Isle if they present a writ. That alone is a grand benefit, but I will think of other things, especially rewards to those who reveal themselves as needing a writ. Yes. I will write up something fully." He shakes his head at Asi, "Neigh, I would not think so as you have not yet been mistaken or treated as something that could posisbly be of demonic orgin. But yes, we have met more than one tiefling and fey'ri at this point." Turning back to Abassi, "No, that will be all for now. I will keep my ears open for the meeting, as well as look forward to scheduling a time with you, and next I find you, I should have that Writ report written up." At this point he had came to a full hault in walking- having already been to the keep earlier that day for combat practicing, and was now only headed that way in hopes to find Abassi, it seeme [20:56] Kynaston Chasin: had a present reason to go to the keep. [20:58] Cynric (jens.ixchel): (it seemes he did NOT have a present reason) [21:02] Second Life: Pie (Pieta Nowles) is now known as Piet 'Struts' Knowles. [21:04] Abassi nodded, " Of course." she smiled and turned for her quarters as they began to depart. " Ah also, we will be hostin' combat trainin' this coming weekend? If ya will be about to help as a trainer." she nodded to them both, " Just let me know." And with that she turned, beginning up the pathway.

Charming Mein: A matter of trustWith his new solution to the tiefling/fey'ri problem suggested.. it sounds like it may just be something he could look forward to in the future. Well knowing that current residences of the isle may not take too kindly to it, he felt an even greater need to sit down and study from the scroll.
[21:07] ѕкץяαн ℓuиαзdgз (lilmia91) contemplates on following Abassi but decides better when she has another of her wolves here with her scouting while she goes into the keep. Turning around she quickly makes her way back to the town and towards the forest.
[21:10] Kynaston Chasin did hear crunching and movement in the woods. His gaze turns towards Skyrah's direction, and though he may have caught a faint presence of movement, it was clearly not enough to give the lady away. He turns back to Asi, "Let us retire to some place quiet for now, I have my studies to tend to."
[21:12] Asi bows to Abassi for the sake of formality as she's on her way to departing, but resumes his inquiries for Cynric otherwise, "They may not have yet, it does not mean it will not happen, correct? And is it not wise to show a sense of solidarity among those in need of a Writ if the Wardens themselves that ought to have one do?" But of course the subject already moved by the time the pond got around to contemplating and understand it, so only nods and sets to follow.
[21:16] Kynaston Chasin needed not to go to far as the woods cleared back out... venturing over to the small pond outside of the inn and tavern. As he walked he spoke to Asi, "I believe that there is truth in what you say. And while I do not yet know what this battery of tests will entail, they would need to be something that you, yourself, could pass. Otherwise we might run into problems with elementals being thought as demons. There would be no harm in you carrying one and it would show you are willing to confirm to this. Lead by example yes?" He settled down on the pond's banks, pulling out the scroll again. "All the better to ensure that I come by knowledge of the spell this speaks of.. As I am sure we will be met with some resistance at first in implimenting the writ. So if I myself can come off more..trusthworthy.. it might lead other to comply better. It is strange though.. one would think this would be all in the voice and physical attributes. But no, it is more of a matter of altering others perception o
[21:16] Kynaston Chasin: magicial means."
[21:31] Asi trots after the human, careful to not be too quick this time around in the more fragile body, and thus able to keep speaking on the move. "It is fine if I can not, it merely means I lose the protection of the Warden, which would not technically affect me, as I am one." Made perfect sense to him, though he didn't have much thought on anything otherwise. Much more interested in trying to teeter sideways into Cynric's lap after they sat down, wanting more to rest his head on the man's thighs while the other aimed to study. "Manipulation of voice does alter perception, you are studying an enhancement to what you already posses. I am unsure why it being magical surprises you, it was obtained within a magic shop, Kynaston Chasin. If you desired a means to figure out how to win friends and influence people your luck would have been found better within the book shop."
[21:39] Kynaston Chasin snorted at Asi's words, "And could not at all happen for you are mine, and I am to be a Warden. That would just simply not work out well, you see. On a number of levels." He situated himself all the more inviting when Asi's body moved in a way to suggest it was Cynric's lap he sought in some way. His free hand ploping down to a rest on Asi's head, fingers spreading back through it. But Asi's cheek would soon become a resting ground from the scroll. Only for his eyes to roll back a bit and a shiver stilled down his spine. He gulped down the rising feeling that trmbled through them. His voice easily altered by that point, becoming a deeper setted tone that could clearly alter anyone's perception. "You make it hard to study," he teased, though it was probably all to true. "It is good you could not exist as you are by my side till I completed becoming an elementalist. Otherwise I do not know that I would have completed it." He laughed a bit, pulling at Asi's hair. Once he felt the scroll situa
[21:39] Kynaston Chasin: against Asi, it freed up his other hand to wander over Asi's chest, the claws digging in a bit.
[21:57] Asi side long stares up at Cynric's chin, given position and all. Clearly trying to figure out where his thoughts on the Writ went wrong, and maybe even worried now he could not pass any tests after all. "Ask no questions on the perception of value to life, then. Not for a lack of care, per say, but lack of understanding. Trivial relationships are frequent among you mortals, and expressions of a affections tend to go in tandem with regret and loss. I do not know regret, I will not weep at funerals." So he notes that any tests dealing with emotional response were liable to be ones he failed at. Clearly by the mage's one words he would be very helpful in causing failure too, if the human's present tone and mannerisms meant anything. "I am sorry," he replies, though he might... actually be smirking. Might be implying his apology was a fib, he was getting better at lying, sneakery, rolling more on his back and stretching languidly upon his Cynric's lap as the mage touched him gently, just to pull his knees
[21:57] Asi: inward and hiss softly for the mild pain nails caused. "I am more legitimately sorry, Cynric," he murmurs, maybe even the mild pain disturbed him enough to warrent it.
[22:03] Kynaston Chasin wraps his own brow a bit. "But if the no one thing that is to seperate demons form a tiefling or a fey'ri are things that you yourself would show up demonic on, I know not how to do it. There most be something that can fully distinquish you both a part from one another. You are clearly not demonic, not a demon, nor hold any origin or linage to a demon so in no wya should you be mistaken or thought of as demon." He rambled on a bit, only belatedly about the time Asi was moving and speaing sorries, that he had become fully distracted. "This is hard when I am.. well." He sighs. "It is hard sometimes." He patted Asi's chest more gently. "We may have to have a different test then for elements specifically if they are questioned or deemed to be potentially demonic. I think our main focus is the fey'ri and tiefling. As they SHOULD be able to pass a value of life and emotoinal perception test." He gently whacks Asi with the scroll, before switching over to speaking some mumbo jumbo magey languagey
[22:03] Kynaston Chasin: arcane text, reading it out loud- and loudly enough to focus on it.
[22:18] Asi nods twice, deliberately slow and careful until touches were more gentle and he could relax again. Flop and sink like a dead thing, draped in Cynric's lap and making sleepy peep faces. "I can lie," he replies as though this would solve test woes. But his interest in anything seemed to have waned the comfier he got, and as the mage takes to chanting in languages unknown in a voice easy on the ears, it seemed more and more like he was about to go down for the count until he more or less did. Nap city, population, a pond crammed in an elf form.
[22:21] Kynaston Chasin smiles at Asi, "And so too can a demon. But It pleases me you can lie. Just a mater of knowing when and where to. And It would be best if you did not lie directly to me." He had not realized how late it had grown, not till he realized he was stroking a sleeping Asi and with everything going on the text from the scroll was getting harder and harder to read the more tired his eyes became. The moon was poor light, but at least now it seemed he had began to memorize what all the scroll entaled to figure out what words were meant to be there from the shadows and shapes on the parchment. He would stay up studying only for a bit longer, before ploping back onto the grass and sleeping as well.

Charming Mein: The Tedious ScrollLate night studying with little to no moon or light failed to have resulted in not enough progress made. Where he thought he had memorized the scroll, he was none to sure and thought the morning would be the best time to slip away to spend the morning hours within his studies. He did find this spell a bit frustrating as unlike other spells where results and progressions could be seen- without another near by- he had nothing to test it on to know how well it was working. By the time he was interrupted in his studies though, he had simply decided he now knew how to do the spell, or would simply give up on it. [08:32] Kynaston Chasin had woken up still at the pond. Through the night the scroll had fallen out of his hand and now laid moist by the near source of water and presently from being Asi's own body touching against it. He rubbed the sleep out of his eyes, making a bit of a face as he picked up the scroll. He did not quite feel like he learned well enough after such poor lightning the night before and decided it was time to slip out from under Asi and venture off to another location. [08:47] Kynaston Chasin decided to return to that little paviollion near to their cottage home. Having recalled of the pillows and the over all serene like nature. Finding it empty in the early morning, he gladly accepted a seat upon the cushions and got himself quite comfy before returning to his studies. [09:12] Kynaston Chasin found this spell to be a bit tedius, as it was one of altering the perception of one's mind. There seemed to be little he could do to test it out, try it out or otherwise and actually know it was holding any effect. He did make a few attempts at trying, but without anyone passing by he had no way to know if it even succeeded to any degree. He wsa left with no choice but to stick to just reading over the scroll and might have even dozed off on and off. [13:53] Emm'esta Thiadil (emmaline.mynx) strolls down the path, not really going anywhere, just feeling the need to stretch her legs. [13:57] Kynaston Chasin found himself in need to have a moment of privacy, at least away from Asi. As charming as he was, he did little to help during matters of studying. He had lost himself within his scroll. Time had passed, heading from morning, till after noon. Things had began to feel frozen in time, after he had blocked out all things for the morning of concentration and commitment. Emm'esta would probably be able to approach fairly close before he even seemed to come to a realization that another was about. His heavy lashes blinking, before his green eyes shifted over to focus on her. [14:00] Emm'esta Thiadil (emmaline.mynx) stopped when she noticed a character sitting beneath the pergola, looking like he was studying. She didn't want to disturb him and was just about to walk softly away when he looked at her. She just lifted a hand in greeting and offered him one of her sweet smiles and a soft, "Vedui." She'd pass on unless he was in the mood for a break from his studies. [14:06] Kynaston Chasin shifted about in his sitting for a moment. His legs were brought out from beneath him and his shoulders and arms pulled back behind him as he stretched in some indicatoin that he had been seated for a while. The scroll was dropped loosely into his lap. "Good day. I trust that was a greetings. Not that I have not heard the words Vedui before, just have not often enough." He smiled softly. "I believe I reconize you from the time I was down near the split in the road trying to locate the bathhouse.. which unfortantly seems to have sank into the water or something of some nonscene." [14:10] Emm'esta Thiadil (emmaline.mynx) hadn't heard that yet. "Oh, no! There will be some seriously foul-smelling individuals around then," and she grinned, liking her own joke--didn't take much to make her laugh, and that was a good thing. She bowed deeply, as all stuffy elves do. "I am Emm'esta Thiadil. You've chosen a good place to study, looks like." She wanted to know what he was studying so hard, but was too reserved to ask--yet. [14:14] Kynaston Chasin chuckles indeed at the joke Emm'esta made. "Well it would seem that there are some bath's yet, but they are down towards the undergrounds, within the opium den establishment. I have yet to try them but noticed them on their menu while I was visiting the other day, on other business." His gaze shifts down towards the scroll at the mention of his studying. "Aye, yes. I suppose so. I needed to get away from my huscurl. He is a doll to have about most of the time.. though he tends to bring difficulties when I try to study. But I have been here studying since the morning, and before than at least once a day if not more. If I do not know it yet, can not do it yet, chances are it is beyond my grasp as a mage." He smiled, folding the scroll back up and sticking it away. "My name is Prince Kynaston Chasin, of a place far to the north, far to the east, where I was hearold as the protector of the fields, harvestor of the herbs. Though I fear those titles mean very little here, as I am not a prince of [14:14] Kynaston Chasin: and now seek to become a simple Warden under the alias of Cynric." [14:19] Emm'esta Thiadil (emmaline.mynx) said in elven, and when she said the words, it sounded a blessing, "Elen sila lumenn omentilmo, Prince Cynaston Chasin," then translated, "A star shall shine on the hour of our meeting. It seems many of us have left behind lives far different from the ones we have here. I, too, am a mage. At least I have finally accepted that part of my life. I have been studying enchantments night and day, and have made some little headway. But tell me, what is a 'huscurl'? My Common is not as good as it should be. [14:24] Kynaston Chasin doubtfully knew anything of elvish as it was clear that she was speaking a foreign language upon his ears that had him smiling faintly. The reconition of his own name bring a warmth to his cheeks, "You may just all me Cynric. It still feels odd to refer to myself as a mage as it is still new to me, well relatively so. I believe my definitive description to my talens would have to lie with my use of herbs.. alchemy, the likes. Though I am not bad with a shot." He smiles, "In simplest terms it means someone who represents a manservent to me as well as my bodyguard." [14:28] Emm'esta Thiadil (emmaline.mynx) nods in understanding. "A tualle, yes. He must be a very diligent servant if you must hide from him." She grinned once more. "I am working on enchanting sewing needles to make perfect stitches. I thought I could give them to students, sort of help them along their way. So far, though, all I've made are needles that burn holes in the cloth!" She laughed then told him, "My atar would have no doubt made me dress fish for a week for such failures, but it was the way he taught. At least your huscurl," and she stumbled over the word, "will not make you clean fish!" [14:32] Kynaston Chasin snorted into a laugh at her words. "He quite is. And as so I would never replace him with none other, but it does give me little time to myself. I am sure he will find me eventually, but as things are, it would seem that I have concluded studying. So I suppose it would be fine now if he came upon me. Tualle though? I will have to try to remember that word. " He shakes his head. "Ah that is terribly alarming! I am sure if you stick with it, you shall soon come by what you seek though. I wish you the best on that, lady Emm'esta. I am none to sure of what an atar is, but if he is anything like my huscurl than maybe I might be cleaning fish yet."

Resolve 6-to-7: No Papers for the Wanting For many days now, Cynric has been promising papers of Asi's very own to Asi. But every day something new comes up, something more that prevents them from attaining papers... and what is worse, it seems like there has began to be a little friction in their love affair with one another. Finally Cynric decides to go get the papers, but is rightly accused for going only because he was annoyed and irritated. This prompted Asi to say he no longer wanted the papers and only needed a job to come by the coin for them because Cynric had yet to get them! Things were getting a bit tense, and Cynric really had to control himself to not truly lose it for the childish behavior of his element. [10:47] Daisuke (fangmassacre) wandered down from the upper village, seeking a place away from the chaos of orcs and barbarians that had overtook his part of the forest for a time. His hooves clicked off the stone as he made his way into another set of buildings to which is silvered eyes looked at the signs, trying to make out what they specialized in if they were businesses, without the ability to read common to well. [10:50] Asi seemed to only be amusing himself on a recently installed swing, idly kicking his feet and enjoying the general vicinity. Given he heard the clack of hooves to stone, however, he would naturally be inclined to peer backward, wave and smile at the incoming deer-man. [10:53] Kynaston Chasin had only recently slipped out from their cabin and the far off approach of another would be widly ignored for the moment in preference to give Asi a questioning look as the man took to swinging on something that was –not- there the night before. “Been busy this morning?” He purred in a sleepy tone. Though Daisuke’s approach would eventually get a shift of his eyes to observe his approach, giving a light nod, before turning back to question Asi further on what he was doin. [10:54] Daisuke (fangmassacre) kept going around one of the buildings, noted the feathers hanging from the sign and what seemed to be a trap on the ground just outside the door, and as he neared the pair outside, he saw what looked like a tent set up from a trapper and it kind of came together without venturing inside. Certainly not a building that he needed to be in. But seeing as he was next to the pair he inclined his head again with a warm smile. "Forgive me, I am just checking out all the local establishments: he explained and then eyed the front of their door. "This one appears to be a home though?" he asked. [10:58] Daisuke (fangmassacre): sorry afk skip me) [11:00] Asi tore his attention away from Daisuke as the wee cabin's door creaks open to reveal a sleepy looking Cynric, to whom he proudly states, "I saw a picture, and then we made it." The who's and how's of that would have to remain a mystery, as he returns to the satyr with a brighter smile and chirpish, "It is a home! It is our home, but Prince Kynaston Chasin does stray business of his own. He makes liquids that do tricks." Back to Cynric thing, entirely too bright today really, "I have found something interesting. I will plant them for you." [11:03] Kynaston Chasin found himself too looking over the small trapper sort of camp set up that had sprung up across the way. His own curiosity perhaps matching Daisuke’s own. Either over him investigating it, or interest in what was being investigated himself. Which only deterred him from his own interest in the construction of the swing set. “Created from a picture, how very clever and intuitive of you.” He chuckles at Asi’s answering of Daisuke’s inquiries, one that had him slipping away from the door and over to the swing. He purposely pushed his leg against Asi’s own, leaning in a bit towards him. “Aye, while I have no interest in opening a shop front- I still can not deny any chance of trade or coin. If you are ever in need of things in and related to herbs, especially that which the apothecary can not provide, please feel free to come find me.” He grinned a bit. “And I am quite curious of this plantable thing you have came by.” [11:09] Daisuke (fangmassacre) smiled warmly and nodded "Ah I see, and thank you" he said sincerely though it seemed he had happened on the pair just as they were beginning t speak to one another so the stag gave a nod and headed off to leave them to their privacy. [11:17] Asi decided that since the other two gentlemen found the building behind Daisuke interesting, he too had to stare at it with vacant eyed feigned interest. But then the satyr was gone, and he presumed he could stop faking with Cynric bumping into his swing and jostling him about a bit. "Am I then, or am I not, meant to advertise your services?" he asks the human, truly unsure, but otherwise busy collecting a handful of wildflower seeds and caterpillar cocoon from his pocket to offer the mage. [11:25] Kynaston Chasin had his own reasons for stepping into Asi, and they had not meant to drive off the lad- but he wasn’t about to go chasing down the road after them. Maybe even a wave given in their departing direction. “You are meant to, and did nothing wrong in your dictation nor your information. I am unsure of what I have done to make you think otherwise. He just seemed confused over the nature of this place, and while I am willing to conduct business here, I did not want it to be ever thought we were nothing but a store. That way we can be assured our privacy when we seek and want of it.” He pulled back a bit to accept the random assortment of herbs that he was being offered. “Ah, I have slept too long this morning.” He teased about how busy and propserious Asi had been, giving him a rub to his head. [11:44] Asi moves with the swing, the idle kick of feet replaces with crossing his ankles. "Nothing, I am simply unsure of the rules, they grow complex the more we bond and I mature," he replies, clearly not upset or so, merely stating what was true of days past. But as far as sleepy mages went, the pond just smiles and shrugs, maybe stealing a glance at Cynric's journal, then peering about at random. "Do you think I should acquire a job at the tavern? I do not think it requires too much skill. But then it already has so many workers. Would it be good to work in the Den? Would this be helpful to you?" Head rubs were nice and all, but he preferred flopping forward into the human's belly and sighing heavily as his current body was want to do. Just to then hope up from his seat and wander for the barrel of random plants beneath the window. Cantrip watering, nothing about to say nope he can't. [11:52] Kynaston Chasin did not seem to follow at all and gave Asi a bit of a blank confused look, a brow perked. “I am unsure of what rules there are or what complexions you now find. And sure our bond has grown differently, but I was not aware of it having altered or changed so much in past days that would cause confusion?” He chuckes softly, “I do not think you would like a job at the tavern, but you might surprise me yet and if you think you would than sure, get a job at the tavern if you would so like. The tavern is always good because it is a keen source of information. Many people and much gossip will always pass through it. As for the Den, I am sure what use we have of that establishment we can come by other means as necessarily, though again, not a bad place and perhaps one you would enjoy more than the tavern.” He pivoted in a way to keep Asi in his sight, giving back the random collection of plants if he so wanted it, otherwise he would perchance start nibbling on them. “If you want to go abo [11:52] Kynaston Chasin: into jobs, than I will permit this.” [12:02] Asi might just have to give Cynric an odd look if he was going to eat the seeds after declining taking them back. Or maybe the odd look was for the prior statements. "Cynric, you are well aware behavior is different marginally since copulation. And I /do not/ understand why my questioning if information was fine to give earned the counter questioning of my concerns. This is a pointless conversation." That all seemed needlessly awkward to him at any rate. Mostly he was just getting red faced and anxious, and at a point might just snap, "If you would get my the papers I wouldn't even need to want a job to do it myself, but you keep forgetting, and I did not ask your thoughts. I do not want them. I want paper. I want to read. I want a job to make these things possible, I do not even care if I would like them, I want paper." [12:08] Kynaston Chasin found the caterpillar cocoon none to appetizing and was probably in the process of trying to fasten it to one of the herbs near by. “Its going to just eat it,” he proclaimed, though held no reluctance to placing it there. He after all was a herb eater himself. “Fine, perhaps it is a bit different. You are happy with it though?” He inquired. “And it was not a matter of forgetting, just a matter of being busy elsewhere. But fine, I shall go now to see about purchasing you some papers.” Any seeds he had left in his hand would be carefully placed on the window shill before he would turn and make to head off towards upper town. [12:19] Asi simply seems all the more confused, as he thought the cocoon was a neat seed to plant. But he seemed to be getting a lot wrong at the moment. "I am not unhappy," he replies to the former question. The later bits he just simultaneously scowls and looks worried over and thus must pull and fuss at his hair while he fidgets. "I do not want the papers after all, I think." [12:25] Kynaston Chasin paused on his path towards town, turning back to look at Asi. He blinked a bit, chewing on his lower lip, before turning back around. He came in for a full approach, seeking to grab hold of Asi’s arms. “Do not presume to get on to me about not having obtained papers than change your mind when I go seek to get you papers when you just made it all to clear you are wanting papers.” He snapped a bit, loosing his own control over the foul mood Asi seemed to be in at present. He closed his eyes, holding steadfast to not wishing to be this way or treat Asi this way. He sighs softly, releasing hold of Asi. “I want you to have papers to draw on. I am sorry I have failed to get you some to this point. You may still get a job, you may still work, but I would still like to get you the papers I promised to get you as I think you painting is a charming thing that will make a good hobby. I really shouldn’t make too many excuses as there is not really reason why as of yet the papers have not yet [12:25] Kynaston Chasin: gotten.” [12:34] Asi naturally just stands still for Cynric's approach, very much kitten staring down a python sort of thing where he may be scared, but not quite, so frozen until grabbed. But even then he just winces and squints, then sort of flexes his fingers in an attempt to pet the mage's abs like he thought it would mellow the man. "I do not desire angry papers," he murmurs lamely as to why he changed his mind. But his human seems to calm then, and he in turn makes himself small whilst shuffling in nearer until he could attempt to hug and hide against the man. "Please forgive me. I do not need a job. I am just uncertain of how to acquire money for you or for me." [12:39] Kynaston Chasin did seem to mellow out, and the gentle touches to his bare abs seemed to help with giving him a more pleasant warmer disposition. By the time Asi hugged him, he took the man into his arms as well, hugging him tight. “They were not meant to be angry papers. I am just unsure of why you were acting like this and thought best to rectify the situation with obtaining the papers for you. It is nothing more than I have promised. As for coin, I believe we will do alright. We have several really good leads and just need to pursue them. Everything will be alright. I think I have just about everything I need set up inside to do my alchemy here at the house now? It may just be a matter of creating one than finding someone to sell it to, than using that money to purchase further supplies. I will spend some time making sure my alchemical station is set up. But we should still go to the apothecary to get a few components that I might need in greater supplies than what we have currently collected. Maybe [12:39] Kynaston Chasin: job, perhaps you can be a seller and runner for me when there is a need." [12:53] Asi relaxes more fully himself, kind of pleasantly melting into Cynric's hold, all curling and winding his fingers into hair, or digging into his shoulder neatly hiding his face in the bare part of the mage's shoulder. "I do not know," he admits as far as his own mood went. "Sometimes it is frustrating to feel more free, but not exactly be. I am unsure, because I do not usually mind it." The rhetorical questions get no answers, as he simply did not know himself. And to the later bit he just nods meekly, loosens his hold and half turns to try touching the little red berries he thought neat, but were likely kind of useless. "I will paint you. I would like to. When I learn." [12:55] Kynaston Chasin: / me leaned over Asi to brush his hair and tuck it behind his ear as he leaned over to look at the berries. He slips in to give him a full and gentle kiss to the cheek, before seeking to practically sweep Asi off of his feet. “I am sure everything will work out just fine, and I will spend the day looking over what I need to do.” He chuckles softly. “I guess playtime is over than.” He winks to Asi, before stating, “And sure I will pose for you whenever you are wanting to learn and give it a try.”
